Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Hmm...since Bad Blood is probably gonna be a Raw only PPV...what's Smackdown going to do this week? Try to build a SERIOUS contender for Lesnar's title? Vince: Okay, Spanky. Nathan here is going to throw you face first through a plate glass window...
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted May 20, 2003 'Whaddya gonna give me Lance? Whaddya gonna give me?' 10 bucks to anyone who gets that one. "I'm gonna give you...HEAD!"- Lance Storm to Chris Candido at ECW Living Dangerously '98, right before Al Snow comes out as Storm's mystery partner.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Raw was allright...an improvement from past weeks. I got a couple of comments though -GODDAMIT! TURN RVD OR KANE HEEL! Ugh, they totally ignored that Kane chokeslamed RVD last night. Break the team apart, both are just not tag wrestlers. -When Christian first came out, I weeped. But it looks good, so it's okay. But I swear, Edge better not cut his hair when he comes back. First Val, then Test, now Christian. -Jericho rules. "I would have done the exact same thing". Good way to keep character, regard the situation yet keep both heels and friends still. -I marked out when I saw the interrogation room. Too bad RVD didn't get interrogated. Remember from the Alliance? "Dude, is this a tanning salon?" -Speaking of the interrogation room, in a WTF kind of moment, Lance saying in Canada we drive on the other side of the road. -What a stupid way to start the Jericho/Goldberg feud. At least they didn't say it was Jericho who ran over him. At least they remembered that was impossible -Flair rules, 'nuff said. -HIAC?!? Nash vs. HHH?!!? Oh no, *that* is going to be a car wreck. Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 20, 2003 What the hell? It was a great show in my eyes, and I can't complain about anything really, nothing that I can think of at least. The booking tonight was fine for the most part, EVEN HHH/Flair. How in the fuck would it work out if Flair won the title? Sure, we ALL fucking hate HHH/Nash for the title, that's what we all agree on for the most part. However, it would make NO sense to just give the title to Flair out of nowhere, and it would serve no purpose right now. Maybe one day, but not right now, not in the MIDDLE of another feud. If anything, it made better booking sense to keep it on HHh than to put it on Flair. Not that I didn't want Flair to win, and not that I don't want HHH/Nash for the title. It just makes more SENSE to keep it on HHH, to keep the HHH/Nash match for the title. The main event was fucking gold, and was better than just about anything on the PPV last night. Both Flair AND HHH worked their ass's off tonight, and it was obvious to anyone who was watching. Flair still has it, as he proved last week, and now this week also. Like it or not, they want to give the ILLUSION that HHH is great, and they allowed him to beat Flair, whom many call THE greatest ever, before the next match with Nash in order to put over HHH's dominate style. I don't like it, but to say this doesn't make sense is just crazy to me.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted May 20, 2003 I actually liked the main event. Triple H hasn't really had a good match lately, so I was happy with it. I dunno, the HIAC announcement just kind of put a damper on it.

Just like ONE thing doesn't make a show, one thing doesn't BREAK a show, at least not to me. I hated hearing it also, but at least I had what came before it. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 20, 2003 I was really enjoying the return of Ric Flair. That's probably the best they've done building someone in one show in a long long time. Thank God it was used to put over HHH again.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Does July 12 1989 or whatever that date was that Austin said mean anything? A cardboard sign, for the interrogation room? Is the WWE trying to save money on props or what? Kevin Nash gets a rematch with HHH and Mavs win, its the sign of the end of the world.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Wow, a tug of war over the girl. How original. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Is it me, or does both Steiner and Test remind everyone of Popeye and Bluto feuding over that skinny bitch.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2003 How the fuck could anyone say that was a great show? I swear I would've stopped watching after the Highlight Reel if I wasn't a) watching for Stevie, hoping against hope he'd be on and b) watching to see if Flair won, which I knew wasn't going to happen once JR started his orgasm shilling, yelling at King all angry in a comedy way, etc. Speaking of JR, I found his one line quite funny... something along the lines of "When Iwoke up this morning, I never thought Flair would be facing HHH!" Considering the Raw writing team's booking style, I found that line to be all too true.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted May 20, 2003 How the fuck could anyone say that was a great show? 1. The opening segment was strong and Austin used his popularity to get next month's PPV and ME over. 2. The build up to HHH-Flair was fantastic and 1000x better than anything we have seen on Raw in a long time. 3. The 5-Minute White Boy Challenge is actually going somewhere and the match was pretty decent to boot. 4. The Highlight Reel was another very good talking segment (THe JeriTron 5000) that helped to get both Christian and the IC Title over. 5. The tag-title match was pretty good for what it was. 6. The main event was fucking unbelievable compared to everything at the PPV and most of the Raw main events from the last few months. The match had intense heat and had me on the edge of my seat. THAT is how I can say it was a great show.

THAT is how I can say it was a great show. 1. SC can promote it all he wants...doesn't mean it'll be good. Since I won't be ordering PPVs due to money problems, I can't really agree/disagree with what you said. 2. Agreed....hell, it even kept me watching to see if Flair would win. But the buildup became meaningless, in my opinion, because we knew HHH would win. 3. Going somewhere? Maybe...but until last night, it was just a bunch of jobber matches. Just like 3MW, the only popular thing about Mack is the manager, or in 3MW's case, ex-manager. 4. I completely, 100% agree. That literally was the only "Hilight of the Night". 5. Again, agreed. 6. It was an okay match, but like I mentioned before, once JR gets on his total shill mode, the outcome becomes obvious, made even more so by who was in it. Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted May 20, 2003 The finish of the main event was blantantly obvious, so the fact that I got into it shows just how good the performances were by both Triple H and Ric Flair.
