His last reign, he was still new as a singles wrestler...and he didn't have his heel-style done to a T yet. Now, he's built WAY more on it, and can do more with it than last time.

Guest ShooterJay Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Christian's problem I think dates back to the mishandling of his *first* IC Title reign. What should have happened is that they should have stretched the Edge/Christian feud another month. After Christian won the belt from Edge, make the next PPV match a cage match, which Christian also wins thanks to his new Alliance buddies. In the meantime, Edge could have won the US belt like he did. And THEN they could have had the ladder match at Survivor Series, with the added bonus of a unification match. A title reign of a month longer, combined with more marquee matches on PPV, and in between that maybe some more title defenses and promo time, would have put Christian way higher on the food chain than he is now. It would have been worlds better than that hastily-booked 50/50 shit Edge had with Test at Survivor Series. I mean, they tease a potentially epic feud for months, and only have the actual feud last 2 months? What the hell?

WWE wants Book to win the IC title in his hometown of Texas, either way both titles on RAW are worthless in the fans' eyes b/c they haven't been treated with proper respect(thanks Cripple H).

Christian is Rock's favorite wrestler, and he's going to follow the pattern that the Rock made. He'll talk about his "peeps" alot, and constantly be a weak heel IC champ. I can only hope that he can turn it around into a big success like Rock, but I don't think he can.

I see Booker T winning the belt in Houston, to make up for HHH not dropping the Fake strap to him at Mania and Backlash like he was supposed to. I know WW_ isn't known for "doing the right thing", but I don't see how they can keep one of the more pop-worthy guys on RAW without a worthwhile program. Plus, HHH wouldn't allow another heel on HHHis show to have a lengthy title run… unless HHHe plans to lay down for Big Daddy Shit-For-Knees at BB which, according to Clique's Third Law of Relativity, is a distinct possibility. I agaree with this. Why Booker and Jericho (two former World Champions) are competing for a second tier belt is beyond me, really. and I mean that from a character standpoint. Obviously, the RAW team is trying to re-establish the IC title. I ain't buying it though. For now.

Hell, back when he first appeared on post-split Raw, shortly after he released a commentarry saying that he wanted to go after the I.C. title...of course, this was shortly before it was sent to the pit of obscurity for a while...

Garth Posted May 21, 2003 Author Report Posted May 21, 2003 The thing i don't get is, if the WWE wants Booker to have the IC title, then why give Christian it for a nothing 1 month reign when they could of easily held back the battle royal 4 a month and held it in Houstn enabling Booker to be the first new champion in his home town. And avoid making Christian look like shit in the process.

No way would I buy two former World Titleists holding a secondary belt. And Christian should have a highlighted mowhawk for a hairstyle. That would rule (a la David Beckham, if anyone knows him).

He beats Booker T by relentless(not cowardly) cheating in his HOME TOWN drawing MAJOR Crowd heat. His new look is there to cast away his former persona and title run. WWE needs to get the look over, I don't mind it......... better than maroon tights and it does sute his attitude. Christian should retain and then continually fued with Booker T to get himself over. I don't like either Jericho or Booker T in the IC title area as it is just keeping them away from the WORLD. But that said, the IC title has the possibility of completely outshining the WORLD title and hence being a major draw considering the people who would compete for it are OVER! That said Christian will drop the title to Nash next raw so HHH can win it in the unification match HIAC at bad blood.
