Since there are Brands....

I know this probably has been asked at least 10 times, but I've been contemplating this for the past week. Since there are two "separate brands" within the WWE-and there was a draft-why don't they utilize the trading system and make trades? It seems to me like another dumbass mistake that the WWE is making. Have I just answered my own question?

Well, anyway, if you were Smackdown or Raw GM, what kind of trades would you make, and what would the reasoning be (in terms of storyline)?

Rikishi, Edge & the Cruiserweight Division for Jim Ross, Kane, Test, the Tag Team Divison (La Resistance & the Dudley Boyz) & the Women's Divison.

Edge could be reunited with Christian, or in a stable with Jericho & Sean Morley. Rikishi could join up with 3MW as their new leader with the departure of Rico. The Cruiserweights could be shown on RAW, and Jim Ross hates the small guys, so he would go to Smackdown. The women would all leave RAW and go to Smackdown so that we don't have to listen to Jerry Lawler act like a pervert anymore. Test might be able to get over in the ring if he got to work with people like Angle, Benoit & Guerrero.

This way you can attempt to establish 3 Minute Warning as a monster heel faction. Rikishi would be heel and try to 'teach' Rosey & Jamaal how to be ruthless. Beatdowns would ensue. Rikishi would be clothed.

I would put together a stable of Edge, Christian, Sean Morley & Chris Jericho. Maybe that's just me. Then again, I would turn Lance Storm face.

You could have someone replace Jim Ross, like Paul Heyman or Coach. Whatever. Jerry Lawler would be forced to become an old school commentator again, what with all the women being gone. Hell, Jesse Ventura might be coming back anyway.

So, RAW would have no Jim Ross, no women'd divison, no Test, no Kane & no perverted Lawler. Yet, it would have a cruiser divison, stables trying to establish themselves and commentators focusing on the matches.

Trade Val Venis & Test for Team Angle. The storyline could be that since Bischoff fired Val, he never wants to see him on Raw agian, Austin would do his usual "don't want to lose my temper" and suggest to trade Test because he is Canadian, and Austin really dislikes Canadians. As for Team Angle well have them in a loser leaves town match.

I'd move the hosses and Hogan to Raw and Jericho, Christian, Val Venis, Lance Storm, Booker and RVD to Smackdown. Make Raw the 'entertainment' show and Smackdown the 'wrestling show'

Helms, RVD and Storm to Smackdown, Rikishi, Piper, and O'Haire to Raw.

The Smackdown women's division for the RAW tag division (3MW, Dudleys & La Resistance).

There are not enough women or teams for either division to be split up so its better making them exclusive on a particular show.

The Women's Title is on RAW and Smackdown has the more respected tag champs so that's why I chose to do it that way rather than the opposite.

Do the Smackdown women even wrestle? I thought they were all bikini contest or Divas Gone Wild BS skits.

Trade Kane and 3MW for Spanky & Rey Mysterio

Trades that I would make right away:

HHH to Smackdown for Rhyno, Sean O'Haire, Rikishi

This would shake up the World Title scene because HHH has held it all but one month, and he no longer takes the top slot on Raw. It would of course have to happen after he dropped the title. I don't care at this point who he dropped it to. Rikishi can team up with 3MW to give a change to both parties. O'Haire needs a push.

Rhyno needs a push. I don't think they would take the title off of Brock right now with Triple H, so Brock I hope would be safe.

Trade that I would make later:

Kane to Smackdown for Matt Hardy

Let Kane and RVD have their feud after they split. Let Hardy phase the CW belt onto someone else. Hardy would be without his two MFers, but he could either get a new one, or just evolve without them. They of course could always be trying to get the title back to avenge Matt's defeat, which would give them something to do.

I would trade Val Venis, Lance Storm, and Christian for A-Train, Rhyno, and the Big Show.

Nash for Funaki.

ALSO:

Either Val Venis (Sean Morley preferably) or Hurricane for Kanyon

Morley can work with Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, Brock, Mysterio, and some other talented wrestlers. I think Morley is pretty talented, but isn't mind-blowing or anything. Hurricane can work with the cruisers (if they would only push that division), and either one of them could be part of a tag team to add another team to the division. Throw Kanyon into the IC division or pair him up with Rico for a new tag team.

Why does Morley's cock keep getting sucked? Sure he hasn't had quality opponents but I haven't considered him oustanding by any means.

I'd agree with that, more or less.

Both shows need an identity, other than "the HHH show" and "the Vince McMahon show".

SmackDown does have the Cruiserweights, while Raw has the wrestling women, and it is a good idea to keep the T&A women, and the wrestling women seperate.

So yeah, keep wrestlers of a similar style together, and get Jericho in with the SD!6. Now.

Who are the SD 6? I know it's Eddy, Rey, Angle, and Benoit, but who are the rest?

Eddy, Chavo, Rey, Edge, Kurt and Benoit.

Basically the three tag teams that were battling for the belts back in October and November of last year (they had a GREAT, albeit short match at Survivor Series.)

Oh alright. I had the impression that they were called the SD 6 because they are the six best workers on Smackdown. Is that true?

It would be really good to see a very charismatic heel stable. Imagine a bunch of the WWE's best heels in a stable, and they would be on both shows whenever they wanted. No, NOT the nWo, but just a heel stable that did whatever they wanted. They would do their own thing, but they'd back each other up. It'd be pretty good.

Rikishi is the worker that sends everyone home happy on the house show circuit, which is why I strongly disagree with even considering turning the man heel, unless you're willing to put a concentrated effort into making 'Kishi, Jamal and Rosey into a dominant stable. And even then, it'll probably blow up in the WWE's face.

I'll trade RVD for Edge, turn Rob heel on Kane and have him beat him in a no holds barred match with Heyman's assistance, bring him to SD and build him up as a top heel and have him beat Lesnar for the WWE title at a ppv, then have Rob feud with Angle as a face and Benoit, then have him drop the title to Lesnar later on.

Edge will come to RAW as a face and i'll have him feud with Triple H for the title, Edge wins the fake title and at the same time gets the "rub" from Crips.

THAT is open to debate. They were called the SD 6 not neccesarily because they were the best, but because they were booked against each other a lot.
