Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Well, the Draft Lottery is tomorrow. We all know who's going Number 1 ( Although i'd prefer Carmelo ). But the question is... WHERE WILL HE END UP ? My Prediction: Top 3: 1. Chicago 2. Toronto 3. Cleveland
Guest razazteca Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Hawks - Lebron James Clippers - Camelo Cavs - Darko Raptors - TJ Ford
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I wouldn't be surprised to see Toronto get LeBron to tell you the truth. In recent years the third worst team in the league has ended up with the #1 pick more than any other.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I stand by and say I would take Anthony.
Guest Flyboy Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I stand by and say I would take Anthony. That makes 3 of us.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Aren't the top 3 random, while the rest are according to record ? Oh well. 1. Chi - Lebron 2. Tor - Carmelo 3. Cle - Darko 4. Mia - T.J. Ford 5. Den - Chris Bosh
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Take James. He's going to be able help a team in more ways than Anthony.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Aren't the top 3 random, while the rest are according to record ? Oh well. 1. Chi - Lebron 2. Tor - Carmelo 3. Cle - Darko 4. Mia - T.J. Ford 5. Den - Chris Bosh Yes, which means that Denver can't finish worse than 4th if Cleveland's in the top 3. Interesting column by Jay Mariotti today in the Chicago Sun-Times. Apparently, if Chicago gets the first pick, John Paxson's going to seriously think about trading LeBron.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Yeah. There is a SERIOUS trade talk concering Chicago and Minnesota. Should Chicago recieve # 1, they would ship their pick, Jalen Rose, & 2 others ( Williams & Chandler ? ) to Minnesota for that guy... Um... I think his name is... Kevin Garnett.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I say Chicago will greatly benefit from the draft in one form or another.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 The Clips should seriously trade up to get Darko. That boy seems like the real deal. Besides, they can't afford not to pass up the next Dirk!
Guest razazteca Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I think I saw that on Around the Horn or PTI.
Guest razazteca Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I never realized all of the European players that will be in the draft. I looked at that mock draft and the Spurs getting a PG? I don't think that would be wise, I would consider looking for a Forward or Center instead.
Rendclaw Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 the Cavs are going to get LeBron... you just watch. The "Local boy done good" story is just too huge to pass up...
Guest Flyboy Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I looked at that mock draft and the Spurs getting a PG? I don't think that would be wise, I would consider looking for a Forward or Center instead. Getting a center does seem wise, but don't forget that it is a MOCK draft.
Guest bravesfan Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 <crosses fingers for my beloved Bulls>...
Guest Flyboy Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Orlando getting Kirk Hinrich would be awesome.
Guest razazteca Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I know it was a mock draft, but if you look at the team you would notice that the Spurs are stacked with good guards and that the Centers are veterans. So I would guess by picking the PG, this player could be used as trade bait.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Pfft... Josh Howard ? 41 ? NO. Ndudi Ebi is entering the Draft ? I thought he was going to Arizona. Marcus Hatton not drafted ? Blah...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Yeah. Not going to happen. The Wolves won't to it. They're not getting nearly enough for Garnett and the trade wouldn't happen if the Bulls get a Top 3 pick. Also this is Sam Smith who came up with this rumor. He's been lobbying for Garnett to sign with the Bulls for the last 5 years.
Guest alkeiper Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Draft is tomorrow at 8, if that's what you mean.
Gert T Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Who won the coin toss between Cleveland and Denver for the 4th pick if they both drop out of the top three? My picks. 1 Denver 2 Atlanta 3 Cleveland Although I would be shocked if both Denver & Cleveland stay in the top three. How about Memphis getting the #2 ball so Detroit could land Carmelo or Milicic?
Guest Choken One Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Where Nike wants Lebron to go: L.A Chicago Atlanta Where NBA Wans lebron to go Atlanta Seattle Chicago Where Lebron wants to go Cleveland Karma wants lebron to go Denver
Guest treble charged Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I'm wondering if LeBron would pull a Steve Francis if he was picked by Toronto and refuse to play for a team in Canada.
Guest Choken One Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 BULLSHIT! NIKE will LOVE CARTER/JAMES!
Guest Lightning Flik Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 BULLSHIT! NIKE will LOVE CARTER/JAMES! Actually, think about that for a second. Nike's probably drooling over that. They could like do a commercial of having Lebron and Carter play each other one on one, and then have both players where the shoe of both players' choice. You know Nike would kill for something like that.
Guest kingkamala Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Where Lebron wants to go Cleveland LeBron said if he's drafted by Cleveland he'll demand a trade. You see LeBron was buddies with former Cavs coach John Lucas and when Lucas got fired, LeBron told his friends he didn't want to play for the Cavs. Although James was seen in the front row of a few Cavs games after John Lucas got fired.
Guest Bricks Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Where Nike wants Lebron to go: L.A Chicago Atlanta Where NBA wants lebron to go Atlanta Seattle Chicago You forgot New York in both places. It'll be the Patrick Ewing rigged lottery again!!!... or maybe not. Personally, seeing as I get a bunch of Raptors games, I want LeBron in Toronto.
