Guest Memphis Report post Posted May 23, 2003 "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" (I'm never sure of the exact title) - Dead or Alive I love that song. MJ & Prince owned the fuckin' 80's so they automatically take the top spots. 'Billie Jean' & 'When Doves Cry' in particular. M

Guest Heel In Peril Report post Posted May 23, 2003 Lots of good ones listed already. Here are some: The Cure - The entire Disintegration album Spandau Ballet - True Toad The Wet Sprocket - All I Want (I'm pretty sure it was still the 80's.) John Waite - Missing You Cyndi Lauper - Good Enough (I've been a hardcore Goonies mark since forever.) Peter Gabriel - Your Eyes Journey - Open Arms Peter Cetera - Glory Of Love (Maybe most of us wouldn't buy his album or anything, but you have to admit when you hear this in Karate Kid it touches something inside a dude.) Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted May 23, 2003 (edited) If we're talking stereotypical 80's songs (i.e. New Wave and popular music) then I'd have add: 1. Steppin' Out (by Joe Jackson) 2. Big Country (by Big Country) 3. And She Was (by Talking Heads) 4. I Want Candy (by Bow Wow Wow) 5. Drive (by the Cars) If we're talking any song released in the 80's, my top 5 would be: 1. Nervous Breakdown (by Black Flag) 2. American Town (by the Freeze) 3. Sanitarium (by Metallica) 4. Straightline Thinking (by the SubHumAns) 5. Salad Days (by Minor Threat) Edited May 29, 2003 by nl5xsk1
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 23, 2003 Karma Chameleon-Culture Club Ok. I never used to care about this song one way or the other..until I saw this commercial on VH1, of an animated cat, dressed like Boy George, singing this song.. A cartoony chameleon pops out and starts dancing like crazy..then another cat pops up out of nowhere, playing the harmonica. I've seen it a few times, and every single time, I absolutely lost it. It's the funniest commercial I've ever seen, hands down. 80's stuff worth a shit: Slayer. Some Ozzy A few Rush tracks. Early Sepultura. yep..

Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted May 23, 2003 Never speak of Stevie B. That's actually how I got into it. My cousin toured with Stevie B. as a backup singer/dancer and also helped in the studio. He's what got me into freestyle. I'm actually gonna see him (and hopefully meet him finally) tomorrow night.
