Guest Choken One Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I know...Still they bury Bret some more...
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I have been looking to get HIAC for a while now. I'll probably pick it up for that match and the one with Diesel. I may have already seen the AWA tag match. I need more info on it for know for sure.
Guest Banky Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Now give me a IV Horsemen DVD set, Scott Steiner, and Steve Austin ones as well.
TheFranchise Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I hate Shawn Michaels more than anything *only because of Montreal* but i'm gonna buy this - shows how good it is!
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 i love this idea, the whole "from the vault series". The opportunities are endless, there are so many superstars u could do that with.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Hmm...could the DVD "Hulk Still Rules" be considered a trial-run for this "From the Vault" series? I mean, it is kinda similar...even if not TOTALLY the same.
Guest raptor Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 When is it coming out? June 24th, According to Amazon.com
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I'm getting this. Hate HBK, love his wrestling.
Guest Deebo Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Damn, I wanted to see the one night only match with Bulldog
Guest pochorenella Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 That match is already on the Rebellion 2002 DVD.
Guest Eagan469 Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 No Marty matches? WHA?????????????????? Otherwise, looks good. You have to take in account that the Iron Man match, entrances and aftermath included takes up a good hour and 15 minutes, so there's not room for a ton of stuff. I'm sure there will be easter eggs galore
TheFranchise Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Damn, I wanted to see the one night only match with Bulldog Can you please not post? i do not want to see that photo,
Guest Mole Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I'll pick it up and I am sure there will be more matches on the DVD.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They should put HBK v. Taker on there from the Royal Rumble. As a consolation prize to all Shawn haters
Guest EternallyLazy Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 (IMG:http://www.silvervision.co.uk/isroot/silvervision/ImagesOnline/products/WWE1073.jpg) For the first time ever, Shawn Michaels talks about the matches that helped define his illustrious career and set the standard for others to follow. Seven of the matches that made him the “Showstopper” are presented in their entirety in this one-of-a- kind compilation: - AWA Tag Team Championship - Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match vs. Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X - Iron Man Match vs. Bret Hart at WrestleMania XII - No-Holds-Barred Match vs. Big Daddy Cool Diesel - WWE Championship Match vs. Mankind - Hell in a Cell vs. Undertaker - Shawn‘s comeback Non-Sanctioned Match vs. Triple H at SummerSlam 2002 DVD Extras: Three hours of bonus footage, including promos, interviews, a photo gallery and alternate commentary by Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash on their now-classic No-Holds-Barred Match. Sounds damn good, hopefully theres some more matches on the 3 hours of extras. Sounds like a great dvd... and Guybrush Threepwood?? I'm glad to see there's another Monkey Island fan here. Welcome to the board!
Guest acnx Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I also have most of the matches on tape, but I'll be buying this the day it comes out. It looks awesome. Can't wait.
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 So has Vince officialy bought the AWA footage now?
Guest Army Eye Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Damn, I think this will be the first wrestling DVD ever that I buy. It looks outstanding. Add the match vs Bulldog at One Night Only (an incredible heel exhibition) and the Barber Shop with Jannetty, some of DX's funniest promos, and you've got a flawless DVD
Guest bravesfan Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Otherwise, looks good. You have to take in account that the Iron Man match, entrances and aftermath included takes up a good hour and 15 minutes, so there's not room for a ton of stuff. The SEVEN matches mentioned are on the first disc, and are the matches that make up the VHS. The 7 matches have to be snipped in order to fit the VHS and DVD constraints, so although the match will be in its entirety, a bit of the entrances and aftermath will be cut out. That leaves 3 FULL HOURS on the second disc, which could be anything. They should put HBK v. Taker on there from the Royal Rumble. As a consolation prize to all Shawn haters. <cough>logoblurring<cough>...but I'm pretty sure you knew that...
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Speaking of logo blurring considering Shawn had to retire right about when the new scratch logo was introduced, and then came back after it became WWE, there's no real worry about using matches! I wish they'd tell us what's in the bonus 3 hours though, like they did with Hogan. And whats on the Rey DVD for that matter! Just to create more anticipation/arguing...
ChrisMWaters Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They should put HBK v. Taker on there from the Royal Rumble. As a consolation prize to all Shawn haters. <cough>logoblurring<cough>...but I'm pretty sure you knew that... Um...actually, this was BEFORE the turnbuckles and ring apron had the scratch logo...they were still using the block logo at the time. Only the lower left corner logo would have to be changed, and judging by the WrestleMania tapes, that's easy enough to do.
Guest bravesfan Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Um...actually, this was BEFORE the turnbuckles and ring apron had the scratch logo...they were still using the block logo at the time. Only the lower left corner logo would have to be changed, and judging by the WrestleMania tapes, that's easy enough to do. My mistake. I had assumed they had already adopted the scratch logo in full use, seemingly since my "Classic Five of 1998" masters had the scratch logo on them.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They should have the Ladder Match with Razor thats on the tape I have (Smack'em Whack'em). Its not as good as their WMX ladder match (mainly cause it took place in Erie PA at a house show), but it would be a nice bonus match. Wasn't that with Bret Hart? And wasn't it in Maine? Smacks self in head. Yeah. Even more reason to get it on there.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I like the idea of alternative audio commentary. They should do that more often.
Guest claydude14 Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I like the idea of alternative audio commentary. They should do that more often. Nothing beats Foley and Cole on the Kennel from Hell match on the Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops DVD.
Guest Choken One Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Three Extra Hours? In a Just world... HBK/Bulldog-One Night Only HBK/Jericho-WMXIX (Not Likely) HBK/Austin (KOTR 1997) HBK/Owen (IYH before WM12) HBK/Marty (Cage Match on Raw...VERY RARE!) Barbershop Promo Classic Heartbreak Hotel Segments DX Formation DX Classic Moments HBK And Mike Tyson HBK's Promo with Flair and Maybe go ahead and Have Shawn have his favorite non-Shawn Match (I.E Whatever HHH wants on the DVD...Likely, Jack/HHH RR00)
Guest Rob Edwards Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Eh I'm dissapointed with this they should get rid of The Mankind match (already on hard knocks and cheap pops) the Taker match (already on this is my yard) and maybe the ironman match because it's an hour long and isn't all that good It'd be nice to have had the New York Jannetty match and the Austin/Michaels Vs Owen/Davey Raw match on there just so theres something collectable
