The one and only draft thread

I'm happy.  All the good guys are on one show, and all the crap are on one show that we don't have to watch.  Isn't this what everybody wanted?  To show Vince that good wrestlers are the ones who people want to see?

If Flair had Smackdown with the same roster, people wouldn't be complaining nearly as much.

I had it in my head that Flairs faction would just be so much better. Why are they confusing me like this. It dosnt make sense.. argh..

I think I would buy a PPV with Tommy/Raven, and maybe a Brock Lesnar/RVD match but there not gonna be sharp enough too book those feuds is they.

werd up.

Did anyone not get drafted?  I was sort of thinking what happened to Funaki or maybe no one cares about Funaki.

I didn't hear Rhyno's name pop up, as far as the big names go. Also, Steve Blackman's name didn't come up either, but the longer his injury goes, the more I'm thinking that his wrestling career is over. I hear nothing positive as far as his recovery goes.

Ok... here's a draft question.  Vince picked the tag champs for his 5th choice.  Why would Flair want to get the Dudleys for 7 and 8 if Vince has the belts?

It doesn't make sense for him to want a tag team if the tag champs won't be appearing on both shows like the Men's and Women's champs.  I mean, what would be the point of the tag teams wrestling?  Not like they'll be getting a belt for their trouble unless Flair made new tag belts for his show.

I think the WWF wants to see what the Duds can do on their own.  With trades, they could be reunited in the future.

Guest What?!

I don't mind the Raw roster! Although, I doubt this is the real "Raw" roster anyways, but if this is what they're keeping I'm cool with it.

I really hope they keep Rock, Angle, Jericho, and Benoit together. You could take any 2 out of them, put them together and BAM, good feud.

I like the drafts aswell.

I think they have purposely not drafted Kanyon, Buchanon, Awesome and Rhyno. I would love to see them come in as a killer stable.

But why ain't no one picked the Godfather????? and Funaki

I like the RAW roster better.  And what big stars are on UPN?  Rock and Hogan and ???

Look at RAW:

Undertaker

Kevin Nash

Scott Hall

Brock Lesnar

Rob Van Dam

Probably Stone Cold

I mean, sure Rock and Hogan are big draws, but Benoit nor Angle have never drawn a dime.  At least RVD and Lesnar are still building towards being the champ, Jericho/Angle/Benoit have already all flopped as champs.

Jericho and Angle only flopped due to bad booking.

Angle is the most over heel in the WWF right now.

Beniot has never had a run with th WWF Title.

Jericho got a bad push huh?

First undisputed champion ever, a long run, and was never over in the first place.  He basically got the HHH push from 1999 but failed to produce.

Sorry dude, Angle's entrance is over but once he is in the ring it is extremely quiet in the building.  He had a babyface and heel run as champ and ratings went to hell both times.

Your right about Benoit never getting a title run.  Maybe if he was even a little bit over...

They should re-name Smackdown; SMARKdown, because...hey, it's got WORKRATE DAMMIT!

Looks like I'll be watching Smackdown now; a show I've never really been interested in before. Benoit, Storm, Hogan(I like him), Angle. Whooooo!

Here's what they gots to do....

Trade away Test,Albert,Rikishi and Mark Henry from Smackdown to RAW for RVD,Booker T,Lesnar and D'Lo. After that I would only watch Smackdown. The possibility of a Dreamer/Raven feud on RAW is yummy, though. Keep in mind that Heyman is also on RAW, which means some Heyman vs Flair promo wars...

So they gots to do that because it would make you happy?

Even if a majority of the fans would want to see this ... well,  I dunno ... I just think putting all the guys that people like on Smackdown and putting all the ones that they don't on Raw wouldn't be the best idea.

And finally, this move is supposed to provide more TV time for more wrestlers, but I don't see how that could happen.  It's the same amount of television show time, just split up differently.  It's like having two small glasses of water instead of one big one, there's no difference outside of the packaging.

The big guys like Rock, Angle and Hogan will only get to use time on one show as opposed to two.

It does however...give HHH twice as much TV time as everyone else.

Super.

You don't know that yet.

I'd make the most important people on RAW the following:

RVD

Booker

Lesnar

Molly

DLo

Just about everyone else is someone that Lesnar can beat up to get over as a monster.

Because you want to bring down the ratings?

Raw has a horrible roster. Please don't tell me Big Bossman will be a midcarder on that show. I can't believe he was even picked. The only people worth seeing on Raw are D'lo, Booker T, RVD, and Brock Lesnar. The rest are useless.

Do you really believe that, or do you just not like them?

Rock vs. Y2J, Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit on Smackdown....The possibilities people, the possibilities! Now let's hope Rikishi busts another eardrum, and Smackdown! will be the thing to watch...

I don't think I like you much, either, so I hope you get hit by a car.

When Vince croaks WWF is in trouble unless his kids learn what's good for business and stop being marks for themselves.

What you say could be true, but I just want to ask ... if they're marks for themselves ... why do they take those breaks from television from time to time?

I like Shane in the WWF.  He can wrestle the occasional good match, he plays a pretty bad guy on TV, and is much better to watch than Vince now.

I dunno, I always thought Steph was the prettier bad guy of the two.
