Invictus 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2003 To stay on topic, I'd say from his column that Edge respects or at least doesn't hate smarks.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted May 26, 2003 To stay on topic, I'd say from his column that Edge respects or at least doesn't hate smarks. He was talking with Scott Keith for a while, so he is toping the list.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted May 26, 2003 He was talking with Scott Keith for a while, so he is toping the list. But I believe that was due to him disagreeing with something Scott Keith said in a rant about one of his matches more than friendly dialogue. Something about the build at the start if the match in the hair vs. hair match (or a different match around that time) - Scott Keith said it was too long and did not achieve much, Edge disagreed. Anyway, Scott Keith held firm and that was that, Edge never got in contact again.
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted May 26, 2003 Yeah and that ended when Keith had something negative to say about one of Edge's matches.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2003 I read a spot-on article about what HHH said on byte this... the guy writing the article is by his own words a HHH apologist, but he had had enough of HHHe-Man's crap after he spewed his venom on Byte This. A great read.

I thought Keith said he was in contact with him, then the bad review, and Edge got pissed, and then stopped talking to him. Thats how I understood it. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted May 27, 2003 I think there's quite a few who respect the internet, but I also think almost all of them think you guys talk too much shit. I saw this board but never really participated until it switched ti Invision or so because during the EzBoard days you guys were SO negative and I didn't want to bother reading it. There's nothing like having some guy on the internet you don't know say that your job performance is poor because you're boring or don't know what you're doing. I imagine a lot of the talent gets sick of this stuff, as much as they may like the internet in general.
Adam 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2003 I think Hurricane, Storm, Matt and Edge must like us a little, because they wouldn't go to all the trouble of writing their thoughts for us all to read if they didn't care.

But what about guys like Albert who must obviously see they are no where near as good as a worker as Benoit or Angle or a host of other guys. I mean come on, on some level they have to know we are probably right. Even HHH has to admit, he's not as fast or agile after his return, so maybe he's not as good as he thinks he is. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted May 27, 2003 But what about guys like Albert who must obviously see they are no where near as good as a worker as Benoit or Angle or a host of other guys. Sure, but is it really Big Show's fault he's too slow for you? I'm not talking about his fatness, that's clearly his fault and he wasn't nearly so fat during most his WCW run. But that aside he seems like a nice guy who took advantage of an outrageous contract that was sent his way. Nobody signed him expecting a technical clinic or a gymnastics exhibition. The reason there's no asses in seats is because of Vince McMahon and the "creative" team, not any one wrestler. Even Big Show could get some heat if he was used right and wasn't turned face and heel more often than he changes his pants. I'm not a Big Show mark or anything, I'm just saying so much heat is given to wrestlers when the mysterious backstage illuminati is at fault.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted May 27, 2003 I think it's more of: Why does a guy like Show (or Albert, Test, Bradshaw, Nash, or Buchanan before he got fired..) keep getting push after push, when they get no reaction, or straight out apathy from the crowd? The fans don't give a shit if he's got a ten million dollar contract, or if he's broke. They SHOW love toward a wrestler (Booker, RVD, Benoit, Eddy..hell, even Spanky got a chant at JD..) who promptly gets stomped out because they can never be a threat to these oh-so-great "Vince's (or Ross') Boys" The fans..people who PAY the guys on the roster have shown hate to guys like Show, yet they are STILL on TV, soaking up jobs, and winning over more deserving (and over) opponents. Why should Rey have to job to Show? Show hasn't done shit in years, but STILL gets a main event slot because he's seven-fucking-feet tall. The crowd shits all over it (and like Steiner/Nash, etc)..but we're still forced to endure it. Like us or not, we ARE fans. We're the guys that tune in, that pay for tickets/merchandise, and the people they should be listening to. Any other buisness would leap at the oppertunity to straighten themselves out. They'd listen to the customers who are their lifeblood. Not the WWE..

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted May 27, 2003 I'd say the workers who spent a good amount of time in ECW or indy promotions could have a bit of respect for the internet fans since the internet is the most powerful method of promotion today.
