I don't recall seeing anything on here about this, too lazy to check the Raw thread. They announced The Rock will be at Raw next week and more specifically on the Chris Jericho Highlight Reel. Its in San Diego, which is close enough to Los Angelees (Jesse Ventura pronunciation) for Rock to appear. But as far as I know, this is only a one week deal. What purpose will it possibly serve? It might, might boost the ratings .1 or .2, but other than that, what will he do. Beat down Y2J? That does nothing for Jericho. Put over Goldberg? Maybe a lost cause. Any other ideas?

Say what a great wrestler Jericho is, put over his segment by coming back just for it, give Goldberg someone to kill and get heat without handing him Jericho.

It's simple. Raw is in San Diego (I think) so Vince wanted Rock to drive down from LA to add more hype to the PPV.

 

I wonder who's side he will take? Jericho or Goldy.

I think bringing in an old-timer as a "gotcha!" type of swerve for a one-time deal to further an angle with Jericho is harmless. But to center an entire brand around an old timer (Hello, Mr. America) is completely different story.

The wwe has really been doing some dumb things. First they have Nash beat up Jericho in CANADA, and then they have Goldberg against mega Over Rock, and now they're having JEricho bring Rock back..................it's like they WANT their faces to get booed. Nash, Steiner, and Goldberg

I just loved that! Muraco dropping "The Magnificent" name in favour of "The Rock" Don Muraco and starting wearing tie-dyed t-shirts ala Graham. He also shed several extra pounds and got himself into the best shape of his career. Too bad he lost to Ted DiBiase in the 16-man WWF title tournament at Wrestlemania IV. Sadly, Muraco's once dominating WWF career would end as a midcard jobber.

I know I've said this before about old-timers, but here it goes again.

 

The WWE needs to bring back Dino Bravo. He'll probly work for whatever they give him, and i doubt he;ll argue about jobbing to young guys. It'd be perfect.
