Guest El Satanico Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Guys always looked alot older than they were back then. James Dean looked like he was in his 40's.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 And James Bond makes sense because they've been talking to Roger Moore all night. They put older leading men with younger leading women all the time, it's tried and true Hollywood.
Guest godthedog Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Yah WAY overrated. Oh come on, most everyone in film would say she's one of the most vicious villians in history. precisely why it's overrated.
Guest Downhome Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Yah WAY overrated. Oh come on, most everyone in film would say she's one of the most vicious villians in history. precisely why it's overrated. Wait, I don't follow. Just because most people think she's truly one of the greatest, she's overrated?
Guest El Satanico Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Charles Foster Kane is #1 there's no way he doesn't make the list.

Just because most people think she's truly one of the greatest, she's overrated? in order for someone to be overrated, they have to get high praise by the majority. the more people praise her, the more overrated she is (according to my personal taste, anyway).
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I KNEW IT! So number one is Finch? Kane? Who?

Personal taste, there's that word. There's no doubt in my mind she's one of the truly greatest villians of all time, she still holds her own for the new generations, and she still gets to new kids and people all of the time. To me, a villian which holds their own (same for a hero) and stand the test of time and can keep on making an impact, is what truly makes them great.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 either that or Kane is #1 and Lecter's not on the list.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Lecter has to be one, Clarice can't make the list and he doesn't.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 The AFI has ALWAYS had a hard on for SOTL so I doubt they left off LEcter. Kane must be either a hero or off the list. But if it's not Kane or Ficnh then I have no damn clue who it is.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 in order for someone to be overrated, they have to get high praise by the majority. the more people praise her, the more overrated she is (according to my personal taste, anyway). By that logic, if one person thought something was great that would make it the greatest thing ever and if everybody thought something was great then it would be the most overrated thing ever, regardless of rather that was true or not.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I say Kane didn't make the list for being a tweener. Lecter is one and the hero is either Finch or the Magnificent 7.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Well they can't leave Kane off either. Either they will call him a hero, boot Lecter in favor of Kane or throw a curve ball and call Kane the #1 villian/hero.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Maybe they will throw that curve ball and have the #1 tweener.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 that will be their next list "top fifty tweeners."
