Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I hate that argument, because if someone is consistently doing well even against poor opponents, or someone's pouring in a lot of work, or the match has more depth than a usual "Wrestler B" match, and so forth; it's basically assuming we can't make a judgment call. The more you watch, the more you pick up on little nuances and their work. You look at patterns, not the individual cases.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 pretty much all the Net dorks getting together and making a meaningless list that means nothing... Whaddyamean means nothing? I get threatened at Indie shows by guys who get left off. Mid-carders in the WWE get pissed off at it. What else could you want? DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Pretty good list, but I find it hard to take seriously when certain wrestlers are unlisted (Storm, Nova, whoever) due to what seems to be no more than a personal bias. But then again it's your list do what you want with it. The only Nova we got was the OVW stuff where he is basically squash boy. He has to have the 6 months like he had when he wrestled Eddy in the indies to make any headway to get on the list. DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Did I not look hard enough, or is Kurt Angle not on the list? Angle's hurt. I figure he would have been top 5 if healthy. DEAN.
Bored Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 In the end its a group of peoples OPINION and I never understand why people get so bent out of shape about this list. Open debate is cool but actually giving a shit if Lance Storm makes the list? I've never seen more than half of the wrestlers on the list as in my 15+ years of watching wrestling I've been almost completely limited to WWE/F and WCW/NWA but I can appreciate the list for what it is and its a nice little reference to get a general idea of who are good workers.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Helms at 111, and Knoble is at 135. I love Helms, but I'd have Knoble above him.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 pretty much all the Net dorks getting together and making a meaningless list that means nothing... Bleh the DVDVR guys are probably more credible to do such a list than any other group of net dorks as they watch EVERYTHING. I can honestly say that Phil Schneider and Tom Karo Garsner watch 95% of all wrestling that was available on tape in the time period. Phil has a girlfriend and everything too. DEAN.
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'd think Knoble hasn't had a chance to do much.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Neither has Helms, outside of a couple matches against HHH & Rock. I've just been more impressed w/ Knoble's performances than Helms's.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 19) Zumbido - I am disappointed that he lost his hair. Rey Bucannero, Ultimo Guerrero, Shocker are great when they fight each other and should be 1,2,3. They are the main reason to watch CMLL/EMLL. I was pushing for a straight switch with Shocker and Benoit after watching Shocker carry Vampiro like a GOD. But they were still stuck on the greatness of Benoit vs Angle. Rey Bucanero and UG taking the Gran Markus plancha- which is akin to consenting to having someone drop a refrigerator on you- destroyed whatever doubts anyone would have over their placement. DEAN.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 pretty much all the Net dorks getting together and making a meaningless list that means nothing... Redundancy, thy name is Choken One.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 kawada must be injured. 442) Terry Funk 443) Rikishi 497) Dusty Rhodes okay, WHAT THE FUCK? Kawada was injured. Dusty was in ROH and bled like a pig. I forget what matches Funk had. I heart Rikishi. DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Who in the blue hell is Ian Rotten? Runs IWA-MidSOuth and pioneered the Dirtbag Shootstyle that is sweeping the indies. DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 i tried to post the following on the dvd board, not sure if it worked, it won't load for me. they must be swamped with traffic cause of the 500 coming out. ---------- This list is always fun. Thanks for all the work guys. No RVD or Lance Storm. >185) Kanyon >225) Jerry Lynn >240) Booker T ``We`re better than Kanyon!`` >250 Sandman but Raven doesn`t even make the list >429) Kid Krazy ``Hi I`m Kid Krazy. I`m 18 years old. I can do a moonsault and some other nifty flying moves and I bump quite a bit. 429 is a fair spot for me, but there is no way I am better than RVD or Lance Storm.`` >443) Rikishi ``I feed island food to RVD so he get big ass. Then I teach him how to do 5 star stinkface, then he make list!`` >497) Dusty Rhodes ``Them youngin`s RVD and Storm need the Dweem to teach them how ta get ta da pay winda of da muthaship, if you weel!`` Didn`t Shawn Michaels wrestle at least near the same amount of matches as Dusty, Lawler or Funk? I can`t spot Homicide. Antonio Thomas is another guy that should be on here, but you guys probably haven`t seen him. I'm sure the DVDVR server will crash tomorrow at 10 AM. It happens every time. I copied what I responded with over yonder and I post it here 4 U! :This list is always fun. Thanks for all the work guys. : No RVD or Lance Storm. DR: I don`t get RAW but I`ll give you Chamber of 500 Party Line on everything: RVD really sucks. Storm didn`t have that hot run we were banking on.. : >185) Kanyon : : >225) Jerry Lynn : >240) Booker T : ``We`re better than Kanyon!`` DR: No they ain`t Kanyon is top 100 if he gets back to form. : >250 Sandman : but Raven doesn`t even make the list DR: There is a list as long as Tom K`s arm of shitty matches involving Raven not involving CM Punk. : >429) Kid Krazy : ``Hi I`m Kid Krazy. I`m 18 years old. I can do a moonsault and some other nifty flying moves and I bump quite a bit. 429 is a fair spot for me, but there is no way I am better than RVD or Lance Storm.`` DR: I`m betting he is. : >443) Rikishi : ``I feed island food to RVD so he get big ass. Then I teach him how to do 5 star stinkface, then he make list!`` DR: What`s your beef with former SST? : >497) Dusty Rhodes : ``Them youngin`s RVD and Storm need the Dweem to teach them how ta get ta da pay winda of da muthaship, if you weel!`` DR: You`d rather watch RVD and Lance Storm than Dusty Rhodes? Wha? : Didn`t Shawn Michaels wrestle at least near the same amount of matches as Dusty, Lawler or Funk? DR: Yeah, but he is completely useless now. : I can`t spot Homicide. DR: 70s : Antonio Thomas is another guy that should be on here, but you guys probably haven`t seen him. DR: Schneider and Tom have seen him, I`m assuming. DEAN DEAN.
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Kid Kash? HEY! I think we forgot Kid Kash. DEAN.
Guest Choken One Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 You just know this is going to become a Puro war... I'll step out and let you little kiddies play your games...
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Helms at 111, and Knoble is at 135. I love Helms, but I'd have Knoble above him. Noble is getting buried so he can't actually show anything. It's annoying because Noble fucking rules. DEAN.
Guest Ace309 Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'd like to make my semi-annual complaint that Dick Togo ain't gettin' enough love. Awwwwww yeah....
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 pretty much all the Net dorks getting together and making a meaningless list that means nothing... Redundancy, thy name is Choken One. Oh come on. Next time we make the meaningful list that means nothing. Then, we'll make the meaningless list that means something. Yes. Yes we will. DEAN.

Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'd like to make my semi-annual complaint that Dick Togo ain't gettin' enough love. Awwwwww yeah.... Togo was fucking great in everything I saw but he didn't have the ass-stomping matches that he had last time. Togo is so great that I take it for granted and that hurts him when compared to average shmoes who get all inspired for three months. DEAN.

Plus Noble refuses to grow his hair out and look like a real redneck. Plus they never did the Larry Flynt as a Manager thing that I suggested. DEAN.
Bored Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'll ask a quesiton that I'm sure has already been asked on the DVDVR board but I'm too lazy to check and currently have Kazaa Lite going so things are slow...why'd Eddie drop out of the top 10?
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'll ask a quesiton that I'm sure has already been asked on the DVDVR board but I'm too lazy to check and currently have Kazaa Lite going so things are slow...why'd Eddie drop out of the top 10? Eddy didn't have the string of matches that he had last time. It was mostly the booking. Also some folks just lapped him this time. DEAN.
Guest Vyce Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 There's something so very right about Nick Mondo being at least a hundred spots above John Cena.

Noble needs to go full Ronnie Dobbs with the long hair and grow some chest hair and maybe stop eating and get David Cross' skinny frame. Too bad he's busy jobbing in dark matches now.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I question Low Ki at 22. I think he's actually had a better go at so far than Eddy G but thats just me being horribly biased for Low Ki.
Guest razazteca Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Noble needs a mullet or at least a rat tail.
Guest Choken One Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Dames needs to move this to general/Puro... Because Dean and Wildpeg and RRR are going to get bitey sooner or later...
Guest DEAN RASMUSSEN Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I question Low Ki at 22. I think he's actually had a better go at so far than Eddy G but thats just me being horribly biased for Low Ki. I dug Low-Ki vs AJ Styles in Z-1 and I REALLY dug Low-Ki/Hoshikawa vs Kaz Hayashi/ Jimmy Yang but he couldn't get past Tamon Honda's two big matches with Kobashi and Akitoshi Saito. I didn't see all the TM4 that the other guys saw. DEAN.
