Jericho praised backstage

Recommended Posts

Guest Fook_Hing_Ho

Since Chris Jericho’s altercation backstage with Bill Goldberg at a Raw taping, Jericho has become somewhat of a hero to many of the boys in the lockerroom.

In a recent commentary, the Hurricane referred to Jericho as “King of the Face Lock” referencing the hold Jericho put on Goldberg during their scuffle.

In some circles, Jericho is well respected for standing up to Goldberg, as Goldberg is viewed as an outsider who didn’t do much to endear himself to the boys.

Sounds like garbage to me. If I was backstage, I would frown upon both men for getting into a schoolyard fight like some goddamn twelve year olds. I don't care who started what, both men were involved and both are to blame.

How petty and childish, if this really is the case. And if so many people "backstage' hate Goldberg, why don't be man enough to confront him, themselves, if it's that big of a deal.

Because Goldie is, in McMahons eyes, a big player in the world title programme, and since most of the people in the locker room who hate him are most likely mid-carders, they are in a no win situation.

These guys roll around in their underwear and playfight with each other for a living. They can't really be held to the standards that we hold for bankers or office employees. I'm not saying it's right, but it's more understandable for guys in this environment. I've got to chear Jericho for sticking up for himself and not backing down in the face of the boss's current favorite. I've also got to chear him for putting a guy in his place who, at least by rumour, has an extemely high and mighty attitude.

Top 5 what exactly? Because he's maybe in the top five workers in WWE but there is a whole lot of world out there that knocks him way the hell down the ladder.

As far as total package goes with wrestling, charisma, talking and promos there are not too many that are better than Jericho. I'd say he's top 10 in the world

Jericho went up to Goldberg and stood up for himself like I should. If Goldberg is talking about him behind his back like that then Jericho definetley has a right to do what he did.

hurricane knows what goes on around here though, so he may very well be making fun of the big deal that the smarks are making out of it.

Didn't Hurricane legit kick Bagwell's ass shortly before Buff was fired?

Then I guess that Goldberg should go after all the guys that are talking behind his back to the sheets then. And Triple H should probably be allowed to get into fights with everyone on the roster. Hell, Zack Gowen has been on the show for two weeks or so and people are bad mouthing him for not making good enough facial expressions. Face it, in wrestling, its not what you do but who you are. Flip the positions around in this and the same people would be burying Goldberg regardless.

The dude makes a very valid point . If it were the other way around we would all probably be killing Goldberg for being a troublemaker.

I know he threw a frozen water bottle at him (like a cooter face) from behind, I don't remember them ever getting into a full on fight.

Didn't Bagwell make fun of Helms and when Helms approached him about it, Bagwell slapped him and the fight escalated from there??

You guys think Jericho will try to include a face lock on their match at Bad Blood?

Just imagine the face of Goldie.

That would be beyond funny but only for the Internet community. Kind of liek all those inside jokes the wrestlers throw into their matches and commentary like Pinebuster
