Guest Bannable Offense Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I was wondering if anybody else remembers this old short lived show? I've been trying to find this on some sort of home media, but can't find it to save the life of me. Can anybody point me in the right direction to score a Sledge Hammer! VHS tape or, better yet, a DVD?
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I doubt if it's on dvd. I certainly remember the show and genuinely loved it as a kid. I was surprised that ABC showed a clip of it from their recent 50th anniversary show, but then again they showed clips of Hardcastle and McCormick.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I was a big fan of "Sledge Hammer!" back in the day. It was a good satire of the typical gritty cop movies, like the Dirty Harry franchise. I still have both issues of the incredibly short-lived comic book. Your best bet might be to find a comp tape of some kind on Ebay or another similar site. Guest Smark-Raving Mad Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I got the theme song stuck in my head now. I don't even know how I still remember the theme song. Good luck, man. Awesome show.

The Dames 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I remember the show! Didn't it end on a cliffhanger with a nuclear warhead being launched...and then it never came back on the air? Dames
Guest Bannable Offense Report post Posted June 4, 2003 If memory serves me correctly, the first season ended with Hammer trying to disarm the warhead and it going off and taking the entire city with it. Somehow there was a second season, but I forgot how in the world they explained it. EDIT: Sledge Hammer! Online Yes, dammit, YES! Feel that nostalgic feeling! Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2003 "Trust me, I know what I'm doing." I loved that show. Rasche was classic as the stoic over the top hero. Catching bullets, talking to his gun, etc. He was like Tackleberry on crack.
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted June 5, 2003 I remember one episode where their car was destroyed (I think) and the police gave them a new one. Sledge and the girl look at the car, and said... "I dunno, something is missing" Then Sledge shoot his gun and made some holes on the main window (sorry, I dunno the correct name). Then the girl kicked the car and made some bumps. Then the car looked like the old one. And they were happy. F'n Sledge rules.

DMann2003 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 *MEGA BUMP* I just bought the 1st season DVD, I was at Best Buy looking for a comedy season set, and I had a 5 dollar reward coupon. I was looking at this, The Office and Reno 911 and I figured since it's still possible to catch Reno and Office reruns on cable that I'd pick up Sledge, after the coupon it was only 20.99 and so far I can see why the show has so many fans on the board. I'm loving it so far.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2004 Just picked it up tonight. Watching the series premier right now. So....happy.... The purse snatcher beating the crap out of himself, "Doreau, I'd like to fight you", the target practice in his apartment. It's all so good. Plus they took the laugh track out, which makes it so much better.
