Guest KJ Brackish Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Where did the "Million Dollar Man" Ted D go and Mr. Perry Saturn?!? Haven't seen anything or heard anything about them for a LONG while now. Just wondering DFA
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 DiBiase started a ministry and Saturn is on NWA TNA
Guest razazteca Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I heard that DiBiase makes regular appearances on that religion channel on cable.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Oh well that's good to know... HBK and DiBiase have something in common... No really though, I never thought I'd see DiBiase being religious. I guess its because I'm ignorant and don't think that wrestlers actually have religions. He He DFA
Guest ChikoDemono Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Has anybody else noticed that a lot of formerly great wrestlers found religion? Specifically Christianity? Ted Dibiase Shawn Michaels Tully Blanchard To name a few.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I am just noticing this now. Before now, I didn't give two thoughts on a wrestlers religion, but now I find that I'm starting to TRY and find out. It just helps me further understand a wrestler and his abilities. DFA
EL DANDY~! Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Sting also found religion... Also, Saturn has been working some dates with New Japan along with his TNA stuff...
Guest Andy Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 No one's said Jake Roberts! Also, Molly Holly is religious.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Slick is a really a reverend in Texas now much like Blanchard is. Nikita Koloff is very religious as well and worked for Dibiase's christian wrestling fed.
Guest The Rising Star Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 What ever happened to Rick Martel? I heard he was in real estate or something?
Guest Eagan469 Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 What ever happened to Rick Martel? I heard he was in real estate or something? he retired due to injury - he resides in Canada and was recognized at a WWE house show there a few weeks back
Guest bravesfan Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 What ever happened to Rick Martel? I heard he was in real estate or something? Yes. His last match was at Superbrawl VIII against Booker T, where he suffered a career-ending injury in the final sequence.
Guest George Dawes Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 I'm sure i scared the million dollar man away from my dust cart yesterday. No seriously it was a spitting image
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 What ever happened to Rick Martel? I heard he was in real estate or something? Yes. His last match was at Superbrawl VIII against Booker T, where he suffered a career-ending injury in the final sequence. Martel suffered his career-ending injury later in the year, against Stevie Ray, thanks to a botched slapjack.
Guest bababooey Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 What ever happened to Rick Martel? I heard he was in real estate or something? Yes. Martel suffered his career-ending injury later in the year, against Stevie Ray, thanks to a botched slapjack. he is also pretty religous-not reborn though. he is a strict catholic which should squash an lingering rumors of him being gay (anyone remember the rumor when tom zenk quit the can am connection because he was afraid that martel would rape him in the shower)
Guest The Czech Republic Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Rick Martel was Quebecois right? Because that guy had one weird-ass voice.
Only The Strong Survive Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 What ever happened to the Body Donnas? And how about Sonny? And what about K-Kwik too?
Guest JaKyL25 Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 Zip of the Bodydonnas (a.k.a. Dr. Tom Pritchard) is still a part of WWE. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't he do Byte This? K-Kwik went to NWA:TNA, became Ron "The Truth" Killings, and won the NWA World Championship from Ken Shamrock before losing it to Jeff Jarrett last year. I hear he's improved from his WWE run, but I haven't seen TNA since week 2, so I dunno. I assume Candido (Bodydonna Skip) is still touring the Indies. One of the losing guys in Tough Enough 2 mentioned that he'd wrestled him since the show ended when he was on the reuninon special. I have no idea what Tammy (Sunny) is doing. Is wrestlingvixxxens.com still up? Is she STILL engaged to Chris?
Only The Strong Survive Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 Oh yeah, there's one more I forgot... I was just watching IYH: Buried Alive, and so I ended up seeing The Smoking Gunns v.s. Owen Hart/ British Bulldog for the Tag Titles , with the Gunns losing (thankfully). I know Billy is stil around, but what happened to Bart? Wasn't there some angle where he broke Billy's neck in a match or something? That's the last I remember of Bart is them fighting each other on Monday Night Raw.
Guest JHawk Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 Last I heard, Bart Gunn was working as Mike Barton in Japan and did one shot in TNA a few months ago.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 I saw Barton wrestle a guy in Lexington,Kentucky last year nicknamed The Reason..can't remember his actual name. Barton was managed by Sherri Martel in that match and Jim Cornette was in the Reason's corner. The match itself was only noteworthy for that.
Guest Choken One Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 Cornette and Sherri in the same Building...All we need is Missy Hyatt for a convention.
Guest BigPoppaKev Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 Perry Saturn not only works for NJPW he is also one of the head trainers at Inoki's/NJ's dojo in California. He is an 'Inoki' guy so he gets a pretty steady push in NJ and is probably the #3 or #4 ranked foreigner behind Scott Norton, Josh Barnett, and possibly Mike Barton. Him and Barton are on about the same level.
