Guest Choken One Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Your Father is apart of the very important demo...The repressed Homosexual Demographic... WWE strongly depends on this demo...
Murmuring Beast Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I don't think he's gay, but whatever gets you hard, I suppose...
Guest Choken One Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 ^What the hell does that mean? U don't "think" he is gay? U should know the guy well enough to know that...
Murmuring Beast Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Ha! I think I may have misunderstood you. No, he's definetly not gay.
Guest OnlyMe Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Well than by that criteria he is good because he entertains me. Maybe you should look up the word opinion. Please tell me what "opinion" means, oh wise one. Fine, you like him. So....?
Guest Army Eye Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 All I'm getting is A-train sucks because he's big and doesn't do cool spots....oh and has a hairy back. Are you blind? How many times must it be said. He can't cut a promo, has no charisma, gets no heat, can't work, can't sell, can't bump. He has a few cool power moves, and can grunt and scream, that's all about I know for positives.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 He actually gets heat, can sell and can bump. Wahey! 100!
Guest Ray Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 No way Goldust should be on the list. Meh.....Goldust has bored me lately. Didn't say A-Train was better......just a little more entertaining lately.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Goldust is a genius entertainer, in my opinion. So damn funny...
Guest Ghettoman Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Fine, you like him. So....? You don't, so.....? I've certainly made better points that you have. Are you blind? How many times must it be said. He can't cut a promo, has no charisma, gets no heat, can't work, can't sell, can't bump. He has a few cool power moves, and can grunt and scream, that's all about I know for positives. Of course I'm not blind, infact I'm looking at my post a page or so back right now that addressed all those points. Maybe you should open your eyes.
Guest OnlyMe Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 You don't, so.....? I've certainly made better points that you have. Heh.
Guest Ghettoman Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Thats the smartest thing you've said so far.
Guest OnlyMe Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 I've certainly made better points that you have. Okay, these points would be... Is every hoss who gets a push no matter how small gonna be hated by the IWC for the rest of enternity? No. Brock Lesnar fits the definition of a "hoss" quite well. He's solid, good size, decent look, no big problems in the ring other than how he's booked, bumps his ass off, and works hard. He's a boring wrestler. And what the hell is "good sized" supposed to mean? Am I supposed to like him more because of that? [long post about Lance Storm removed, as it doesn't relate to this discussion] All I'm getting is A-train sucks because he's big and doesn't do cool spots....oh and has a hairy back. Yeah, you guys win. Yeah, that's *exactly* the only thing anyone has said. How about reading the thread. Why not give him a shot? He's never had a solid singles push and even now they paired him with Big Show sporatically, which means he's not taking up such precious air-time that could be used for a ladder match or whatever. True, he's never been pushed to main event, but he's been pushed *more* than enough times without getting over. He's had many chances in the mid-card, and doesn't need to be pushed any harder than that for people to see that he sucks. He's boring. I don't like him. And for god's sake, do I need to write "In my opinion..." at the start of every post? No matter how many times you say "but he works his ass off", I don't care. He's failed at his job, so why should I care? Well than by that criteria he is good because he entertains me. Yeah. That's fine.
Guest Army Eye Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 He actually gets heat, can sell and can bump. Wahey! 100! The last two are somewhat subjective I guess, but he definitely does not get heat.
Guest Army Eye Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Of course I'm not blind, infact I'm looking at my post a page or so back right now that addressed all those points. Maybe you should open your eyes. Sorry I can't find it. I find one post that is mostly about Storm. Anyway, if you've ADDRESSED those points, how can you say now that you're not 'seeing' them?
Guest two_tuff_toddy Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 I've read absolutely nothing in this thread as I wouldn't waste the time to given who it's about but seeing as it has as many posts as it does i was just curious how in the FUCK can you have this much of a discussion about FUCKING ALBERT OF ALL PEOPLE! Talk about someone who matters or is at least good.
Guest Ray Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 he definitely does not get heat. I've seen him get some pretty good heat.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 I'll say what I always say about Albert. He's the best of the worst. Take that as you wish.
Guest two_tuff_toddy Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 "I'll say what I always say about Albert. He's the best of the worst. Take that as you wish." That just means that he still sucks ass but not as much as some people.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Personally, I'm just waiting for the great face-turn. He would be over then.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Albert couldn't get heat if he was on fire. Ever notice any of the "recent" hosses to get pushed, the only really over one is Kane? Even with the fucked-up storyline, he's had somewhat of a character. All Albert, Test, and guys like that have had, are that they're "seven feet, bah gawd", and we're supposed to care about them because the Head of Talent Relation can't see real talent if it hit him in the face.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 In 1999 and 2000 Test was over, but they fucked his run up. A-Train is a fresh character and I think that over time he could become reasonably popular.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Fresh character? He dosen't even HAVE a character. That's the point! He just growls a lot, and uses a few power moves. It'll never work, no matter who is getting the push. The fans have to see a character to care, and the wrestler has to do something to get over. Not just toss around small guys.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 You're not getting it. Putting Heyman in your corner won't do crap except give you a spaz to do your interviews. The only thing besides a decent discussion that I've picked up from this debate is that some people deserve the negative connotation that usually accompanies the word smark if all they can do as far as justification is say "he growls and is big therefore he sucks". If anybody touched on this point and elaborated on why Albert isn't that good, there could be a better debate or there would be a valid point for the Train-Haters side: Erratic Selling That's only one but a good debate on it could be formed by noting instances of his poor selling. None of these "He bores me therefore he sucks" cop-outs or "He's been given tons of huge pushes with no results" without even citing when you think these pushes were.
