A-Train Is Not Crap

I can't agree with the points about Albert having a 'fresh' character, which is probably the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard in my life, however I don't find him to be the worst thing ever. Nor is Big Show.

I find both more entertaining than RVD. Just.

Ok so Albert sucks because it's your opinion, Albert sucks because he's hairy, Albert sucks because he's big, albert sucks because you don't like him.

The best arguement against him was raised by someone making the case for him! Thats sad.

OnlyMe, since when was a wrestlers success based on your enjoyment? I enjoy him, does that mean he doesn't fail? Or is your opinion just worth more than everyone elses despite not having a reason for it?

And what the fuck is this growling shit, what the fuck does growling have to do with anything? He can growl all he wants it doesn't affect anything but your view of him, and obviously thats not worth much.

He's got good build, good look, a well developed moveset that makes sense, pretty solid striking, he can bump about as hard as Lesnar when he wants to, and he has no problems on the mental side of things. On top of that he works hard and isn't given much(Go count up his total air time for me in the last six months), so whats the problem?

There is none, other than jaded thinking, which you can't even back up well.

Alright well now that I've seen the light, I'll debate more intelligently from now on.....

Benoit sucks because I say he does and that means he does.

While A-Train's character is not completely fresh, it's not stale either.

What is his character? That he was abandoned as a child and raised by trains?

Well Albert sucks cause he hasn't really had a good match outside Benoit. You can have the good build, the great moveset, the heat, etc. but if you can't turn that into a good match, what's the point of it?

....you better believe that the WWE will try to incorperate this into this character now somehow.

So very, very true. Actually, as has been pointed out before, the Big Show's music alone makes him more entertaining than the entire Raw roster.

As for good old A-Train, I've always had a soft spot for him after he had a tag match in 2001, I forget the details, but one of his opponents was Tajiri. Now this was at a time when Taker and Kane were at the height of their no-selling, shitty, we-will-bury-all-we-face unholy gimpdom. And there was Albert, bigger than both of them, selling his arse off for Tajiri, taking a wondrous amounts of cool kicks and selling them for all his hairy worth. Bless his little heart. And his failed pushes are always amusing anyway. The Death Valley Driver boys appear to have Albert ranked as the 474th best professional wrestler in the world, coincidentally making him better than both RVD and Lance Storm, I believe. A fair placing.

Albert does not have a good look. He looks ridiculous. How can anyone take him seriously?

Can you take ANY wrestler serious by looks these days? I mean Nathan Jones had a good look, and was absolutely shit.

Then you HAD Mick Foley who wasn't that great looking for a wrestler, but could at least be entertaining myself to days end.

So really, I don't give a flying fuck about looks.

Yes, he looks unique. Nobody looks as goofy and ugly as him. That's not exactly a great point to show that Albert doesn't suck.

Albert's cartoonish old school heel look is great. I'm not rushing to place him 47th in the world, but he's still young...

I actually thought T&A were going to be a solid power team right before they split. Tag wrestling helped both guys, and the program was canned for a unique can't miss idea, a Test singles push. Hmm. I've seen little evidence that A-Train doesn't sell, and I'll never understand why he doesn't bust out some of the power moves he's done like, ONCE over the years. He ain't Vader, but I think with more training before his debut, and without him being buried virtually from the outset, he could have been close. Maybe there's time for a fresh start, I can't recall these supposed 'numerous' failed pushes he's had.

Never thought a thread about A-Train will garner more than a 100 posts.

Seems like this debate has caused some controversy and some heated arguements. Some have made a good point that no matter how he is pushed he never gets over with the fans. That is true because he does not have enough charisma and character to go furthur then where he is now and that is where he should be as I beleive he should not got any higher than a mid-carder.

Those who does not support this view please give a little more backing to your opinion and don't just say he sucks because he is fat and slow.

Those who say that he can't work for shit probably did not bother to watch his matches because of their opinion on A-Train. Frankly, like I said before, his moves usually leads up to his finisher and given a little more than 2 minute cruiserweight squashes, he can work a pretty good match.

He may not have many good matches under his record, but if given a seasoned worker to work with he can do pretty much better than your average hoss.

PS: Murmuring Beast is your recent A-Train love a joke??? Cause this post is not meant to start an A-Train Fan Club and I doubt there would be any members.

HA, bet the peeps thought this thread was dead.

Again, I would like people to clarify these numerous failed pushes. I personally do not consider standing behind droz, standing behind the bossman and teaming with test only to be ushered back into obscurity whilst HE had the failed push to be 'pushes'. The reason this push failed is because he has been velocity material for as long as most can remember, and they have no reason to take him as a serious threat.

EDIT: HAHAHA, I had totally forgotten he's a former IC champion. Oh well, so's test.

That is always the important point, because even though some people may defend him, the fans don't want to see him pushed and therefore he shouldnt be pushed.

But WWE don't care, so that's that.

I don't mind him. He is OK. Period.

His role on this week's Smackdown was perfect for him. Do his thing for 4 minutes, then disappear when the bigger angle goes down.
