Byte This Update

Guest Polish_Rifle

This week, Kurt Angle and Lita will join us on Byte This! Just one day after returning to SmackDown!, the Olympic Hero will talk about his recent neck surgery and much more. Lita will fill us in on the status of her own healing neck, and tell us when she might be ready to return to action. Don't miss this show, which starts at 4 p.m. ET Friday here on WWE.com

Ric Flair was honored by his Superstar peers two weeks ago in Greenville, S.C., in a much-talked-about, post-RAW celebration. What happened? What did the "Nature Boy" think about it? He answered these questions and more last week on Byte This!

Jim Ross was on the phone to discuss his new cookbook. Find out what J.R. had to say about the stories and recipes it contains.

Also, Billy Kidman is rumored to be on the verge of returning to action. The former Cruiserweight Champion joined us right here on WWE.com.

I was listening to last week's show the other day and I found it interesting that Kidaman voiced his displeasure towards Brock Lesner attempting the SSP at Mania. I don;t know if anyone talked about this but Kidman mentioned the wrestling code of not using someone else’s signature moves. He said anyone could virtually go out there and F-5 their opponents, since its not a very difficult move but they don’t do it to honor the code. He seemed pretty pissed and I wonder if this will have any effect on how he’s booked when he comes back.

Oh you better believe that Kidman's going to have ... bias booking when he returns.

Besides, it's a whoopie about him bitching about the SSP. Like Brock doing it just once was a big no-no. It was probably like a one time in a long time thing.

It's ok if you fondle my woman and have her tongue-kissing the owner, but bitches better not touch my finishing move.

Kidman is VERY protective of Torrie Wilson and I wouldn't be surprised if he's been depushed because of it.

As for the SSP, Lesnar's one attempt at it failed, so Kidman has that going for him.

I can see his point though because they’re on the same show. I’m sure Hunter would be pissed if Greenberg beat Jericho next week with a pedigree. Doing it once is one too many times, unless they get permission or something.

There's a big difference between the Pedigree (which has pretty much only ever been used by HHH in North America), and the SSP, which has been used by a LOT of CWs.

For fuck sakes, Billy, the fans don't care about you any way, so quit bitching.

Smarks don't even care about Kidman. Besides, Brock does the move differently. RVD and Eddy both use versions of the Frog Splash but there's no problem--they were even on the same show for a little while.

Brock's not even going to be allowed to do it anymore anyway.

It's one think for a 185lbs stickboy to do the move. Another thing all together to see a 285lbs beast fly off the ropes for the SSP.

Who does Kidman think he is? Randy Savage? Well, Savage drew 100X more money than Kidman will ever see.

Kidman is blander than bran flakes.

Funaki and Torrie have a better on screen chemistry than Kiddy/'His' girl

I remember reading interviews with some of old CW's of WCW and how they said Kidman would get all pissed backstage and would throw fits if they used the SSP during a match.

What a goof.

Well, it is the only thing people ever remember Kidman for. And it's not like he's never botched the move.

Kidman can fuck off. He has stolen a shitload of moves from other people.

The real question is if Kidman does get intentionally booked poorly because of this, will anyone really be able to tell the difference?

Will anyone even care?

One word; Chokeslam. At one point Taker, Big Show, and Kane were ALL using it, and they're all upper midcarders (Or at least were in Kane's case).

Brock did it once, so Billy? Shut your mouth before you put us all to sleep.

Kidman's just pissed because we all saw his fiancée's nubbins and hoo-hoo (and they weren't much to write home about, either).

Hope he enjoys his stay at the Velocity hotel if/when he comes back.

You know, it's a shame. I feel sorry for Billy. After all, considering that him and his fiancee's acting is an insult to anyone who ever looked constipated for a Kaopectate commercial, and seeing how their careers have gone, it's unfair.

Considering how poor an actress she is, it's hard for me to imagine Torrie is anything different than the insatiable cock gobbler (and perhaps occasional coochie licker) she plays on TV. My left nut can outwrestle Torrie; the Nidia-Torrie series is stupid, pointless, and exposes Torrie as the worst wrestler with tits on national TV since Jackie Gayda (Nidia sucks too, but less bad). Yet Torrie gets pushed to the moon, gets TV time every week, Playboy, etc.

And Kidman...well, he's lucky to make Velocity. He's a good little wrestler, but gets no love from the marks or WWE management since he can't talk and he's a little guy. He gets almost no love from smarks because he's horrible on the mic, and looks so bland and generic surrounded by so many superior workers and cruisers.

So Billy hardly gets any reaction at all, is mostly unloved, and before Torrie comes home to give him any she probably has sucked 37 dicks that evening. Let him have his Shooting Star Press! It's about all he has!

The Shooting Star has been exposed as being not that spiffy, though. I mean, the Tough Enough III kid John can do a standing one! If Red ever signs with WWE, he uses it as a transitional move, really... And really... WOW! He flips in the air and lands on someone! That's gotta hurt more than just... um, NOT flipping and landing on someone.

I like the SSP, actually. I'm just saying.

A standing Shooting Star Press doesn't strike me as being as damaging as a top rope one.

And Red wouldn't be allowed to use a SSP in the WWE as a transition move if he was signed.

And the thing is, out of all the wrestlers I've seen do the SSP, Kidman has the WORST one by far. It's just ugly looking, whereas MDogg20 and Paul London have graceful, high-impact ones- London's is practically a shooting star frogsplash.

Kidman hasn't had "it" since 1999, sadly.

**NEWSFLASH**

Billy, your finisher sucks. You are always lopsided when you do it. And it's not as if you are a big-time player who just had their finisher stolen. Was there anybody who was even thinking of Kidman when Brock did the SSP? Probably not.

Kidman's once again living up to the last part of his ring name: A man who acts like a kid. His real name should also be changed to Pete Groaner.

...I was at 'Mania, sitting right below the Skybox, I had a very good view of Kidman. He shed a tear when Brock did the SSP.

Okay....maybe not, but I did see Kidman in the Skybox at 'Mania...
