# The APA were scheduled to make their return at Tuesday's Smackdown taping, however, their return had to be delayed due to Bradshaw undergoing double hernia surgery. Bradshaw isn't too happy about the situation, as a doctor in Louisville, Kentucky mis-diagnosed his injury as a pulled groin about a month ago. "I told this doctor I thought I had a hernia and he promptly told me I had a slightly pulled groin. He even took an MRI and cleared me to work, which I have been doing for a month, saying to me that the groin should clear up soon. After a month of not clearing up, I called my good friend, and friend of WWE, Dr. Bob Quarles from Richmond, Va. He, over the phone, told me I had a reducible inguinal hernia. Might I say again, over the phone he correctly diagnosed me, when the incompetent horse doctor who had taken an MRI and had seen me in person missed it after I told him I though it was a hernia. I guess that is why they call it practicing medicine; believe me, the horse doctor needs practice. Maybe Dr. Quarles could take him on as an apprentice."

# After a lot of confusion over the past several days, it's now confirmed that both Eric Bischoff and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be appearing at tomorrow night's InsurreXtion Pay-Per-View in Newcastle, England.

# Billy Kidman is currently training in OVW in preparation for his return to WWE television.

As I reported a few days ago, Jim Cornette, the head booker for Ohio Valley Wrestling, became extremely upset at WWE officials when he found out that Doug Basham and Damaja would be debuting as a tag team on Smackdown since the two were in the midst of a feud on OVW television. Many are now praising Cornette for how he explained the situation to the fans in order to save the credibility of OVW's storylines. At the 6/4 OVW television taping, Cornette came down to the ring and sid that he was as confused as anyone when he saw the two on television as a tag team.

Damaja (Danny Basham) then came to the ring and told the crowd that he received a phone call from Johnny Ace, who asked him to appear at the Smackdown tapings. When he arrived to the arena, he found out that Doug Basham had set him up by convincing WWE officials to use the two as a team. Damaja explained that he had no choice. Basham then came to the ring and bragged about how he manipulated officials into granting his request. The crowd loved the segment and it appears the feud between the two is alive and well.

# The latest plan for Rico's character is to portray him as a modern day version of Adrian Street with Jackie Gayda as his valet.

# Mysterio forgets injury, wins title

Rey Mysterio won the Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown! in his first major match since he pulled a groin muscle two weeks ago. But Mysterio put the injury out of his mind and concentrated on the match.

# Fans cheer for returning Angle

For the first time in a long time, Kurt Angle actually had to encourage fans to chant “you suck!” at him. Angle finds himself in an unfamiliar role now -- that of a fan favorite.

# Stars come out for Anaheim SmackDown!

Every time WWE holds an event in Los Angeles or Orange County, Calif., celebrities attend. Rob Reiner, Tracy Murray and Will Sasso were among those spotted at SmackDown! in Anaheim, Calif.

Eh? You can get to OVW? Damn you. It'll probably turn out to be an awesome fed, considering all things.

# WWE will be hosting a conference call on 6/13 at 11:00 a.m. EST to discuss the company's fourth quarter earnings/losses. If you would like to listen to it, you can do so by downloading the webcast over at corporate.wwe.com or by calling (800) 362-0571 (Conference ID: WWE). It should be quite interesting, considering all the financial cutbacks the company has made over the past few months.

# The reason Shawn Michaels didn't appear as advertised for the house show in Portland, Oregon was because he had asked management for the night off to attend church with his family.

# As was reported a few days ago, Mick Foley is scheduled to make his WWE return on RAW tomorrow night. Reportedly, Foley is actually the one who contacted WWE and asked if they could somehow fit him into their programming. His sudden interest in returning is most definitely due to the upcoming release of his new book.

Thanks to "TolerancE" for the following report:

Just got back from the meet & greet with Dawn Marie as tickets went on sale for a WWE Smackdown Brand House Show. They took groups of five in at a time to meet with her and turned out to be a smooth process. Dawn was REALLY friendly with all the people who approached her and signed EVERYTHING that was put in front of her, as well as personally autographed glossy's. She even took the time to answer questions concerning her role in the WWE and even mentioned that they were hard at work to reunite her and Lance Storm, but don't know how they will pull that off seeing as they are both on separate shows. After standing in the rain for 9 hours to get tickets and meet Dawn, it was indeed a good experience as far as public relations go.

This should be funny. I wonder if that smark investor will phone in again and give them shit about HHH. It will also be interesting what excuse they will use for Backlash and Judgement Day's buy-rate now that the wars over.

# "Dr. Death" Steve Williams has been telling friends that he was offended by WWE official John Laurinatis (aka Johnny Ace) referring to his house show matches as "tryouts" since he felt Laurinatis should be familiar with his work because the two spent several years working together in All Japan Pro Wrestling. There is still interest to sign Williams full-time to teach the younger wrestlers his mat-based style.

# Billy Kidman stated in a recent interview on WWE.com's Byte This that he deserves to be the next wrestler to feud with Mr. America because he scored a pinfall victory over him in WCW. I'll leave it at that.

# The Basham Brothers will soon have a manager added to their act. No word on who it will be.

(Thanks to The Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter)

# Kurt Angle told WWE officials that, despite just returning from neck surgery, he still wants to work a full-time schedule.

# The current plan is for Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle vs. John Cena and The Big Show headline upcoming Smackdown brand house shows.

# Despite tons of speculation, the Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar return match for the WWE Title at the Vengeance PPV will be a "face vs. face" match. It had been rumored on other sites that either Lesnar or Angle would turn heel in order to build heat for the bout.

# Jazz vs. Ivory for the Women's Championship may be added to the card for Bad Blood.

(Thanks to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

# Chris Benoit vs. Rhyno will most likely take place at July's Vengeance PPV. It's currently unknown which of the two will be turning heel to set up their feud.

# The morale amongst the WWE wrestlers is said to be at an all-time low as of late. Most are negative about the current state of the business and the direction the company is taking creatively, combined with the fact that house show payoffs are down and travel expenses are more expensive. Although nobody will say so publicly, most are blaiming the company's problems on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

# The nasty looking cut over Chris Benoit's left eye happened at a house show last weekend during a match with Sean O'Haire.

(Thanks to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

# As you saw on RAW Monday night, it appears that Rodney Mack and Christopher Nowinski are being paired up as a tag team. The plan is for them to do a comedy bit where Teddy Long talks in jive and the "intelligent" Nowinski doesn't understand him. Nowinski himself will then try to talk in jive, making himself look like a goof in the process.

# As it stands right now, the Ric Flair biography will be released in March 2004, while Billy Graham's is due out in October 2004.

# Independent wrestlers Chad Collyer, Scoot Andrews, Billy Fives and Johnny Slaughter will receive dark match tryouts before tomorrow night's RAW.

...he was gone?

OOOOH...that's right. He got injured at the Smackdown before Mania, that I was in attendance for.

Mr. America NEVER was in WCW. Geez.

You're a crazy SOB, Kurt. Hope you win.

# The nasty looking cut over Chris Benoit's left eye happened at a house show last weekend during a match with Sean O'Haire.

That speaks for itself.

Im so glad many of these Wrestlers like Williams and the LOD tell their buddies ahead of time before they are possibly signed that they are gonna get signed.. Makes their Crash into PAINFUL Reality much more pleasant for the rest of us.

hmm didn't Kidman break Kayfabe stating Mr.America is Hogan since he faced Hogan in WCW?

I smell Cornette taking a OVW hiatus to manage his Pride and joy tag team, which feud in his fed. heh

Angle either on a career deathwish, or the break wasn't as bad as we were lead to believe by the "LEAKS" before WM

well good Brock and Angle are buddies again, as Anglesault said...What happen to Team Angle?

Daww a Face vs Face match, when was the last one that worked?

well good Ivory for a long while was the only true Legit Women's wrestler before the likes of Jazz came along. She deserves the shot.

Least gives Benoit and Rhyno something to do on a PPV I guess...but I bet ya it will become a Heat match.

That ought to be funny Nowinski trying to be pretty fly for a white guy.

Flair and Gramhim books...wow I gotta start buying all these books.

As for the Indi's Goodluck maybe you will be fortunate to get the contracts to become A-Train FOOD!

That reminds me, will Heat just become a Smackdown brand show when it's a Smackdown Only PPV? Or are they going to switch Velocity with heat or those weeks....? Or just screw over Raw and not give them a Heat that week...since they aren't putting the effort into making it worth-while anyways.

I think every new day morale gets a little lower, so every day the morale is at an all-time low. :P

All-time though, I dunno if this can beat out WWF mid-90s as an all time low.

There was a chance that if you were talented enough at that point that you could make it to the top. The biz wasnt good but at least workers had a chance. Now an unover heel champ dominates due to politics. I would agree that now is the all time low.

there is a difference between WWF and WWE in terms of all time low..

at least in the mid 90's the WWF was struggling because they were in competition who had the audience at the time

Now...there is no competition worth a shit, the closest TNA is still not totally open to the public, nor do they do house show tours..

the WWE is stuck on its own, and the wrestlers are at the top of the heap with no where to go but down or stay where they are...

and thats pretty bad if the top of the mountain is currently shitty.

Nowinski, Long, and Mack had a great segment on Heat last night. Clearly their tag team angle has begun.
