I was thinking the other day how there are very few movies, if any, that just about everyone likes.

Star Wars episodes 4-6, Lord of the Rings and Shawshank Redemption are the only movies that I haven't heard any negativity about.

I never got into the Star Wars series at all.

What about Back to the Future?

There isn't a movie that EVERYONE likes, I highly doubt so anyway. We can try it though, and so far, I like all movies listed.

Some people hate Star Wars (not me, though) so that one deserves to be off the list.

But, really... it's impossible for everyone to like one single movie. No point in trying to find one.

I think everyone can agree in their opinion of Mole, however.

That's my question, but I am sure there is one movie that 9/10 people like.

I'll name some more and if you don't like it, say so.

Lion King

Silence of the Lambs

Memento

Wizard of Oz

Citizen Kane

ET

Jaws

The Godfather

Goodfellas

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Jaws

Those are just off the top of my head.

Yeah, lets start 5th grade stuff again.

Well problem with Shawshank Redemption is that hardly anyone ever mentions it good or bad.

It's a rarely seen movie so there's not enough people that has seen it to get alot of "hated it" opinions.

Wow Max, you NEED to see Silence and Memento. And you didn't like Godfather or Goodfellas? Damn.

I like Back to the Future, but the third one sucked.

I've heard good things about Memento. Maybe I should rent it.

Exactly. I'm not an action movie type of guy (which is what a lot of mob movies are), nor am I a big "drama" guy either.

Greatest film ever, and my personal favorite.

I'm fine with everything on the list so far.

If you aren't a big drama guy, then Memento isn't for you. Still go see it though, it's an awesome movie that should have won Best Picture in 2001. If not Best Picture, atleast Best Orginal Screenplay. What is more orginal than Memento?

I like all of these, but it's easy to find reasons why someone could possibly not like them.

Lion King: "Cartoons are for kids"

Silence of the Lambs: "It's too bloody"

Memento: "Too confusing"

Wizard of Oz: "Singing is gay"

Citizen Kane: "black and white sucks"

ET: "ET looks like a nutsack that's gay"

Jaws: "That fish isn't scary"

The Godfather: "It's long and slow"

Goodfellas: "Too violent and too much cursing"

I like dramas, but I'm not pushing over old ladies to go see them unless they have a good story, which I'm told Memento has. After my birthday...after my birthday I'll check it out

I liked Donnie Darko. Jake Gyllenhall was fantastic. That movie should have won some awards, IMO.

You know, damn, I am pretty easy to please for the most part, I need to start being harder to get along with.

Didn't like Casablanca or Meet the Parents, and I've never seen Adaptation or Pulp Fiction

Monsters Inc

"Cartoons are for kids"

Many people will simply refuse to watch cartoons because of the belief that all cartoons are meant strictly for kids.

So all cartoons are out of contention.

Meet the Parents - didn't enjoy it as much as most...the girl was such a bitch.

How about Ferris Beuler's Day Off? Not my favorite, but EVERYONE likes the film, really.

Aside from that... never heard anything negative about The Big Lebowski or Forrest Gump (well, one mild bad thing about the latter, but still), aaaaand... hrm... a lot of the old National Lampoon's movies, like Christmas Vacation and Animal House, seem to be loved Worldwide.

Anyone not like these movies? Because really, they seem to be just timeless classics that everyone enjoys. Obviously SOMEONE has to not like a movie, but still, I'd say these come fucking close, eh?
