Guest myburninghammer Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I don't know about anyone else, but I was cringing tonight when Foley took his bumps, and I found it totally disrespectful that they tossed him around--even if he did go along with it. There's something just depressing to me about a guy who worked his ass off to put wrestling (and not himself) over having to do the work for the two guys in the match because they're too lazy; it irritates the fuck out of me, and that's to say nothing of the fact that he, like everyone else, had to bow before Crips tonight. I'm not saying his segments weren't effective--perhaps overly so--but they still left a bad taste in my mouth. just had to say that.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I'm actually really glad he came back, for a second there I almost forgot he's not in HHH's league.
Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Yeah, that's the only thing I watched on RAW tonight and it fucking pissed me off as well. Great, Triple-H is better than Foley. Fine. Figured that out a while back. Tell another fucking story already. And what the hell is Foley thinking taking another chair shot to the head? What's he getting paid for that shit? Really loved the ending too, setting up fucking fuckhead the shit boy as the heel underdog at the PPV, bravely going up against the face who pinned him clean tonight AND a referee who hates him. Gee, the odds seem bad for the worthless fucktard who always goes over, how will he ever pull it out? Fuck this shit.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I was thinking "wow Foley showed more heart than HHH will ever have by coming back to make HHH and Nash look good and taking bumps he didn't have to take"
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 10, 2003 The only thing that gets me is that I doubt Foley will "go back to his simple life" after everything is said and done. Chances are he'll end up wrestling HHH at Summerslam. It looks like he might have another match left in him, but I think I'd rather remember Foley's last match as the no way out match/wrestlemania fatal 4 way match.. And plus, it adds another name to the growing list of people who should be gone from the business but came back because they couldn't say no to Vince / Vince's money. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I don't think Foley is wrestling again. Not even a one time match.

Id save that for a title match though. Plus I think its a bit too soon to end Goldberg's WWE "undefeated" streak...

Plus I think its a bit too soon to end Goldberg's WWE "undefeated" streak... Um well that'd be assuming Nash wins Sunday and after Nash hitting the lazy bomb two weeks in a row on HHH I'd say its a lock HHH is winning. Plus he's get a face special guest referee...HHH always wins then! It wil be interesting to see if HHH gets out of jobbing to Goldberg.

Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Incredibly depressing, I mean fun as hell to watch because Foley just wouldn't die but then I realized they were putting over how brutal the cell could be...by beating the shit out of a guy who hasn't wrestled in 3 years. That...is sad.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Fuck Foley for not only coming back to try to make people buy this shitty PPV, but also for making HHH look good again. You helped create this fucking monster, Foley. You want to help? Teach him to give back to the business like you did.
Adam 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Hey, fuck Triple H, as long as Foley is on my TV I'll mark out.
Guest Mole Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I loved to see him back, but it doesn't do jack shit for the long run. That is what WWE needs to focus on, storylines for the future. Vince and co just seem to have things to pop the ratings, Rock and now Foley.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 All that was running through my mind is "Foley is God", I was thinking how awesome it'd be if they just did an angle where Nash was fired (for real!) and Austin brings Foley in as HHH's one night only hell in the cell opponent. He wouldn't have to take many more bumps than he did last night and even an out of shape Foley would produce something much more entertaining than Nash. His micwork was excellent and the WWE scheme of getting the heat on HHH/Foley and attention off of Nash worked on me, at least momentarily.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted June 10, 2003 It was a nice thing to see Foley on television, but this does nothing but salvage what little heat this match had going into Bad Blood.

Guest RedJed Report post Posted June 10, 2003 All I'm gonna say is this..........if people are finding major faults with Foley tonight on Raw, its proof positive that the comments the industry says about the IWC is valid. Just my two cents. Its like no matter what or how things happen, some people are just NEVER happy.

Just my two cents. Its like no matter what or how things happen, some people are just NEVER happy. It doesn't make the WWE right at all. The whole reason people on here are still finding faults is because they're looking to the future like the WWE should be. Most of the people who have found faults didn't find them in the segment itself, most of them liked the segment, they found them in the purposes of the segment. This is why so many are falsely accused of unjustly bashing the WWE cause most people who bash those who complain never look at the big picture that's being complained about. Just my two cents. Its like no matter what or how things happen, some people are just NEVER happy. Bullshit. I think it's the most intelligent thing WWE has done all year. However, it's desperation. Desperation to save a shitty Pay Per View main event they should have known would suck and not draw any heat in the first place. They'd tried to make people care about this fued by: 1. Having Nash "screwed" out of the title and get a rematch. 2. Making the rematch a Hell In The Cell match. 3. Reformed Evolution (well, 3/4 of it). 4. Getting a special guest referee that the fans are crazy about. 5. Having HHH actually sell for and act intimidated about Nash. 6. Having HHH beat a legend in his hometown to try to get HHH over as a heel more and then have Flair cancel his semi-turn. Okay, the 5th should be a given for any main event feud, but for HHH it's rare. They did all that, and still NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THIS MATCH!! It's a smart thing for WWE to do. My beef is with Foley. He criticized the WWE for shitty booking, and now he's showed up, his hands out, ready to take a nice payoff to promote this shitty fucking Pay Per View main event and con fans out of their money. I'd love for Foley to come back if it means that he'll demand that shit change in the WWE, but that simply isn't going to happen. So kindly take your pissy "oh you're never satisfied" attitude and shove it. I did get enjoyment out of it, but I know it's simply padding to try to draw interest to an HHH-Nash match. That's what pisses me off. If Foley came on Smackdown to help hype up a main event or appeared as a PPV guest for some other reason, I wouldn't mind. It's just that he's coming off as a total hypocrite. I don't want to hate WWE, and I don't want to hate Foley. Yet it seems they want me to.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 The segment itself was good, and I loved Foley still counting the three after HHH Pedigreed him. However, I am disappointed in Mick still because he was lambasting WWE for booking poorly and here he is, back in the federation to shill his book.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 He never even mentioned his book. How many marks even know he has another book coming out? I don't think he came back just to shill the book. I loved the segment.

I loved the segment. Okay, you're right, it's likely that Foley himsef won't shill the book, but I have a feeling WWE will advertise it. If they don't then hey, I was wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Then how much stupider is Foley if he isn't coming back just to use WWE to shill his book? I was wondering if anyone would notice Nash got a reaction tonight when he booted and powerbombed HHH. Guess no one wants to remember that part they just wanna make Foley seem like a hero. Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I'm to the point now, due to the company's actions over the past 2 years, where i don't give a fuck. I'm glad Foley is back, & both astonished & glad that he managed to go back bumping his ass off. but hell, bitching about the obvious is ineffective. if Foley's happy with his role now, then i'm fine with it. he managed in one night to make the shitty PPV worth more than all the buildup has. i still won't get it, but to each there own. But you should all have learned by now what WWE's been saying forever: HHH always will end up on top of both the company & Steph no matter what happens. Being shocked at what happened with him beathign the fuck out of Mick is like being shocked that Bill Cosby is a black man.
Guest jester Report post Posted June 10, 2003 I was wondering if anyone would notice Nash got a reaction tonight when he booted and powerbombed HHH. Guess no one wants to remember that part they just wanna make Foley seem like a hero. Nash got a pretty good pop when he came out...with HBK at his side. They did cheer the Lazybomb, but is a PPV crowd going to cheer a full 20 minute match with him? I have my doubts. If we want to talk non-reaction, let's talk about Orton. I flipped back between Raw and the Stanley Cup final. I saw Flair announce Orton, and he got NO reaction. I mean zero. No boos, no cheers, it was a morgue in there when he came out. Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted June 10, 2003 Whatever reasons Foley left are his own, and same thing goes for why he came back. I enjoyed the segment, but if it weren't for Foley, there would've been NO reaction for Nash or Triple H whatsoever. It took Foley, a former retired pro-wrestler, to salvage the teeny-tiny bit of heat this match had.

They started playing Flair's theme again then cut it off only to start it again a few seconds later.
