Goldberg and WWE Creative team got probs

Goldberg has to be preserved to put over the toughest son of a bitch Ric Flair has ever faced - Triple H at Summerslam. Stick a fork in Jericho, he's done. :firing:

I agree with DH; both guys haven't looked as good as the could. Goldberg looks like a stupid putz and Jericho looks physically weak. You're telling me that Goldberg would fall for Jericho's tricks 3 weeks in a row? What a dumbass. And Jericho couldn't even knock out Goldberg when he sneaked attacked him? My lord, who weak could he be?

And unfortunatly, they won't extend their feud because they are going to spend oodles of time building Triple H/Goldberg.

They have about 3-4 weeks aftermath to deal with before starting HHH/Goldberg.

I really can't see HHH/Goldberg being any different than Nash/HHH or Kane/HHH - other than he might actually win.

Well, if they do extend the feud a bit, it will only be to make Goldberg look super strong. And if he wins this Sunday, what's the point in having the feud extended?

A tag match where Jericho "get's his heat back" so later on he can job to Nash when Nash needs to "get his heat back"?

Nash has heat in the first place?

More like a residual warmth left over from the nWo. Hot enough to melt the surface of a stick of butter, perhaps.

That's why I put it in quotation marks, as neither of them have heat to get back.

I would disagree that Jericho is over and done with. Maybe in the current climate, but I don't think things are finished for the guy.

What I'm interested in knowing is exactly what this particular angle the writers had booked was, which Goldberg then changed. So far all we know is that it put Jericho over FBG, but I'd like to know exactly what it was that got Bill's panties in a twist.

Jericho is beyond the point of no return - the crowd will never take him seriously as a main eventer let alone champion.

They would if he was given a huge, multi-month push with big wins over an established star or two.

And by that, I don't mean pinning Triple H in a tag match.

Nope, he's done for. They could bring out Jesus and have Jericho go over and people would still think he only won so that he will put over Moses at the next PPV.

I don't see what the problem is. It's true he has been made to look weaker than he should have been and there is no need for anymore of it. Hell, just about everyone that I've heard from that have anything to do with Pro. Wrestling (meaning guys like Meltzer, Scherer, Percy Pringle, and others) have all said that Goldberg needed to look powerfull once again.

Personally I think that these experts (and they do know more about the biz then I do, that's not sarcasm) are wrong in this instance. People aren't interested in goldberg anymore, and they don't really want the squash matches anymore. if you ask me, the only route is to flesh out Goldberg's character (like they've tried to do) and put him in a situation where he has to adapt, or sink. What that means is that Goldberg needs to improve his ring work, improve his promo skills, and learn to be something other than an over hyped squash machine. It's time to stop catering to this guy, he needs to improve, and he needs to come up with a gimmick that doesn't involve feeding guys like Lance Storm and Jericho to him.

Just fire him.

Honestly, is it possible to do that?

I mean, if Goldberg does not do what the booker tells him to do then isn't that on grounds for a firing? However, I am unsure whether or not Goldbitch holds the dreaded 'creative control' clause in his contract, which of course means he can do reletively anything he wants.

I hate you, Vince.

I would hope Vince was smart enough not to give him the creative control clause but he was pretty desperate so who knows.

And I agree that you can't keep Goldberg strong like before. This isn't like his WCW run where you could constantly feed him jobbers. If you put him up against jobbers now people will tune out because they know what will happen. But if you try to feed him upper carders and main eventers that will kill the company in the long run. He needs some character development, ASAP.

Fuck Goldberg.

Nope, nothing else to contribute...

Downhome is right and most of you are stupid. Drive through.

Goldberg didn't like what they had planned for the altercations between him and Jericho, because it would make his character look weak??? What the fuck? Fighting Rosey makes your character look good though? C'mon man, if this idiot doesn't wanna play ball then get rid of his overrated ass. he isn't the savior of the friggin company anyway.....

A CHAIR SHOT SHOULD NEVER BE NO-SOLD. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER.

IT makes the person giving them pathetic, and anyone else who takes one on the same night crap aswell.

I felt like punching goldberg in the face when he did that (or taking him down with a front face-lock). It is just stupid that 1 man can do this while NO ONE ELSE CAN.

I don't know whether it strokes goldbergs ego, or whether he masturbates furiously over it at night or whatever makes him think that it's a good idea and will get him over. It will just make all his fueds look really really crap and fake.

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT.

Goldberg is obviously out for his own gain and that's all. I hope he tears a quad in his match against Jericho whilst in the middle of the jackhammer and lets Y2J fall on top of him and pin him clean. But we all know it will be just a glorified squash. IF HE CAN ONLY SQUASH IN THE FIRST PLACE WHY IS HE A MAIN EVENT WRESTLER.

Fuck WCW for building up such a KNOB... and a crappy one at that.

Also, last week on RAW they had Goldberg spear the referee in place of Jericho, just another sign of Goldberg still not wanting to work with or 'sell' a move to younger talent.

Younger talent? Aren't they relatively the same age? Or is Goldberg just a lot older than I give him credit for?

Well, unless it's old-school Undertaker doing the no-selling. And Zombie situps. Man, I miss the 80's.

That's a clause in the no-selling chair thing.

He's dead. He feels no pain.

He's pretty much on the record saying so too.

I actually think they should have started him slow, by coming in and squashing jobbers. Since I never watched WCW, I never got to see anything special in Goldberg.

And WWE hasn't made him anything special, so why should I care about him.

If he was squashing everyone in two minutes, which is apparently all he can really do, maybe I could see why he got over.

See the thing is, I was watching WCW pretty much exclusively by the time Goldberg debuted. His "matches" killed that for me. I never understood the appeal of him coming into the ring, spear, jackhammer, 1. 2. 3. Match over. Beating a bunch of jobbers IS NOT IMPRESSIVE. Goldberg turned me off of WCW, and I would guess that he did the same to a lot of others as well.

Goldberg not even doing house shows, his deal specifically limits him to Raws and PPVs and the Moron doesn't even wrestle at every Raw and PPV.

SInce when is he suppose to be Better than every wrestler who busts their ass week in and out.... maybe Tommy Dreamer should just Shoot and crack his skull open with a cane

Blah blah blah, look if Goldberg can cut a contract that keeps him off house shows, he would be a dimwit not to do so. House shows don't do a thing for the wrestler but add up a whole bunch of wear and tear to their bodies. Face it, all Goldberg says and does points to the fact that he's in wrestling to make as much money as he can. At least he's not pretending otherwise. After all the screwing over that bookers have done to their workers over the course of history, I'm surprised there aren't more people like Goldberg out there.
