Who did Warrior lose the title to at Royal Rumble 1991?

Wasn't it Slaughter?

And also, as for this topic, I've missed wrestling countless times.

I started watching again in 1998 after I had stopped watching around 1994 or 1995, one of those years, I just forget which.

Sometime after I had started watching in 1998, my satellite went down, and I couldn't watch again, until about December of that year.

And since then, I've watched, and missed countless shows.

Yep, he lost it to Slaughter when Macho Man hit Warrior over the head with the septer (sp?)

That was the first Wrestling show I ever saw. Have been watching since then.

1990 is one of my favourite time periods in the WWE. UW's 'Superstars' opening theme ruled it.

That match was terrible. BUT... the way the match was scripted by Patterson (or whoever booked the WWF title match at the Rumble 1990) was truly a genius. It's one of my favorite 'bad' matches to watch because of how fun the entire sceptor/Slaughter/Warrior/Savage/Sherri interaction truly is.

Of course, Hogan had to ruin it two months later.

I started watching wrestling in 1993 when I caught....WM 9! Ya damn right I found that event entertaining when I was 9 years old, and began watching hardcore in 1994 and throughout the past decade....funny how I caught on during the dark years, Owen and Bret were what it was all about for me back then.

So that means you must order ever PPV now? Or never watch the shows anymore.

Nah, but at the same time, DirecTV didn't give us a UPN station until January 2002. So I had just Raw, no Smackdown and no PPV, no Shotguns or anything like that.

Just wasn't worth it to get a third of the story.

I stopped watching from 94-96, and I also stopped watching from August of last summer until January of this year, so I missed the "Smackdown Six" era of Smackdown. In 94 I stopped watching when Diesel won the title (late 94), and I started up again in March of 96 to check out some guy named Austin. I missed Diesel's run at the top of the WWF, so I didn't really feel bad.

In mid-98 I promised my friends that I would never watch WCW again. I kept that promise...:)

Other than that, nah.

I stopped watching wrestling around '91-'92, when Vince and Co. stopped airing their syndicated show on free non-Cable TV. Every once in a while I caught the late Saturday night wCw show (whatever it was), but by then, I was heavy into college life, so the TV was pretty much axed from my leisure time.

Fast forward to about early-'97. Surfing the 'Net at my job one day, I stumbled upon some fan site about a little company called ECW, and how they were some renegade indy fed making some waves. This got me reading recaps for the WWF, so I decided to have another go.

I haven't stopped since, although lately I haven't really had the overwhelming urge to watch like I used to. Perhaps another hiatus is on the horizon…

The Savage/Warrior/Slaughter deal at RR91 was insane - do that today and it's same-old same-old.
