Bought three tonight that will fuel my current hip-hop kick; Common's "Resurrection", Gang Starr's "Daily Operation", and "The Sun Rises in the East", by Jeru the Damaja.

I just grabbed As the Palaces Burn, by Lamb of God, but haven't got the chance to listen to it. I also bought Slayer's mandatory double live album Decade of Aggression for the third time. The first was stolen, and the second copy was annihilated through much usage and transport.

~!

Also, regarding that Lamb of God cd..it's fucking wicked. If you're into that whole sound including but not limited to guys like Devin Townsend, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, et al, then you'll probably fuckin' love this cd.

Think SYL, only heavier and better.

Sing Loud, Sing Proud- Dropkick Murphys

Kick ass.

I got Jack Johnson's "On and On" a month ago. I absolutely love it.

My most recent purchase was the live Dispatch album, "Gut The Van". I was not impressed. Anyone know if their studio albums are better?

Depends on what you mean by better. If you want overly sentimental jam-band college rock, they're one of the better ones in that genre. I'm not particularly a fan, but the studio albums are well-produced and crisp if nothing else.

Latest acquisitions for me: The Blueprint, Aquemini, Stankonia, Exile on Main Street, A Hard Day's Night, and Hail to the Thief. I've had quite a run lately.

Cabinessence is an overlooked little gem.

As for myself:

Led Zeppelin - The Early Years

And some actual, real records (LPs & 45s) for a $1 or less each. Unfortunately, most are re-releases.

Ventures - The Ventures in Space

Ad Libs - Boy From New York City/Kicked Around

Crystal Gayle - Paintin' This Old Town Blue/Talking in Your Sleep

George Jones - He Stopped Loving Her Today/I'm Not Ready Yet

Jerry Lee Lewis - Another Place Another Time/Walking the Floor Over You, Boogie Woogie Country Man/I'm Jealous of You, Change Places With Me/Thirty Nine and Holding

Mamas & Papas - Creeque Alley/I Saw Her Again

Don McLean - American Pie/American Pie Part II

Otis Redding - Try a Little Tenderness/I'm Sick Y'all, Dock of the Bay/My Lover's Prayer

Rolling Stones - Angie/Silver Train, I Don't Know Why/Try a Little Harder, Whos' Driving My Plane/Have You Seen Your Mother...

Edwin Starr - War/Stop the War Now

James Taylor - Steamroller/You've Got a Friend

Garage Inc is enjoyable. My 9th favourite out of the Metallica 10. The only stuff I've got lately is St. Anger and Number Of The Beast (Finally). I've got Live Shit: Binge & Purge on order, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow.

I'm going out of town tommorow so I'll hopefully pick something up. Maybe Animals by Floyd.

Meh, 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'Turn The Page' are good enough. And the second disc is far better, but I didn't enjoy the whole experience that much.

I mostly just burn CD's, but I bought Metallica's St. Anger about a week ago. The last discs I picked up before that were The Ataris' So Long, Astoria and AFI's Sing the Sorrow right after they were released in late March/early April.

Although it was a while ago. I've been jobless and poor. I think my next cd will either be old Metallica or Alice In Chains.

Astronomy is another awesome song off the first disc. Plus I love the Tuesday's Gone cover even if it's not technically just Metallica.
