When Smith passed away in Canada last year, his father Sid felt that there were suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and demanded an investigation. The body was transported to England, and an inquest was held, at which Sid Smith said "I think someone was responsible for his death and I felt that from the beginning and still do."

 

After an hour long inquest that included evidence from a forensic scientist and the pathologist who examined Smith after his body was flown in from Canada, they determined that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. They believe that Smith died from an enlarged heart, and the final verdict was "death from natural causes". Smith was 39.

I didn't think there was any foul play, but i just that's me just being optimistic. I'm glad there was no foul play because that family should not have to go through anymore painful stuff like that.

That sucks, to die of natural causes at the age of 39. Usually, men die for that reason at the age of 75 or more (natural causes-old age).

He died of natural causes caused by YEARS of injecting himself with steriods.

 

Yeah, that's natural.

 

It should have been ruled a suicide, he did do it to himself and I'm sure he knew what he doing wasn't healthy.

people who drink and smoke know its not healthy. is that suicide as well?

 

and im glad to know it was natural causes and not some kind of drugs that caused his death. like cocaine or something. and an enlarged heart usually is natural. unless there is some kind of steriod for the heart.

For my Human Physiology and Anatomy class we took a field trip to a morgue and one of the cadavers that we looked at was a person who used steroids. The doctor explained to us that since the heart was a muscle, and steroids increased muscle mass, the size of the heart was increased, but the size of the vessels and arteries stays the same size. The heart has to pump harder due to its massive size, and the vessels and arteries can't get enough blood to it to sustain life, leading to cardiac failure.

 

It's science. You don't argue with science.

-Davey Boy Smith's toxicology report revealed that he died of "natural causes." Smith's father Sid requested an autopsy on his son because he refused to believe that Smith was doing drugs. However, the toxicology report revealed that Smith had morphine and steroids in his system. Sid Smith apparently still doesn't believe his son was doing drugs, and told a UK newspaper that he may travel to Canada to investigate his son's death.

So he was still on steroids when he died, as well as morphine. It's sad how his father still cannot face the facts.

Would you want to believe your son died because of Steriods? I don't think so. I also think he's doing this because he wants to try and clear his sons name really, he doesn't want his death to be remembered as "Another drug releted Wrestler death".

Well he'll have a hard time doing that when two drugs were found in Davey Boy's system. Not mention years of well known steroid abuse.
