Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Mike Chioda's acting was priceless. I think he actually cursed to himself in the aftermath. Very cool visual.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I think the reason they did that is to give the fans what they promised, Lesnar/Show, and possibly set up something even better for their 200th show, which is this week... ...that's what I would be thinking, but then again, I'm thinking Logically. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I think the reason they did that is to give the fans what they promised, Lesnar/Show, You mean the fans wanted to see Lesnar/Show, but didn't want to see you know, a winner? Odd. and possibly set up something even better for their 200th show, which is this week... Maybe next week we can see Lesnar/Big Show 5, which ends in a no contest (What the fans want to see) when Lesnar pushes Show off the hand!

Guest Sakura Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Some people look at EVERYTHING in a negative way. Thats just the way it is. And some people are just content with subpar stuff. You know I've stepped away from this argument but I've got to say that you KNOW that statement is nothing but an insult and not conducive to any discussion here. It doesn't prove anyone wrong, it just makes you look immature by attacking his standards. So it's ok to say someone doesn't like the show because they don't like anything but it's NOT ok to turn that back at them and say they like it because they like anything? And it's nice to see the ring being destroyed is not sparred from "if you don't like this you're just looking for flaws!".
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 This is so stupid....it was a shock moment and it worked for them....End of story. If Big show gets a PPV match with Lesnar then your bitching will be justified, but until then theres nothing to complain about

Oh God, not again?! Well, if they wanna force another epic Show/Brock match at us, its better to be on SD! 200 than Vengence... ..the lesser of two evils.. Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Because youre being so fucking negative about everything. It was a one time thing, get over it some of us liked it and were impressed by it, get over it
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I'm downloading it now, and God knows that'll take a while, but hey, I can't complain about doing something like this once in a while. In addition to great matches, I enjoy fat guys getting suplexed. IS THAT SO WRONG? I'm not interested enough in wrestling to worry about the repercussions of a fat guy getting suplexed. Bottom line, a fat guy got suplexed.
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I'm guessing seeing as how there was no winner it'll lead to a triple threat match at Vengeance. I think theyre going to hold off Angle vs Lesnar until Summerslam, which is the right thing to do, gives more time to build up the match. I know it means Big Show in another PPV main event, but it could be ok with Lesnar and Angle both carrying his fat ass and besides they will have actually planned something ahead weeks in advance for once. Anyway about the ending, from the looks of it, even though it was a non finish it sent the fans home happy and thats all you can really ask for I guess. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Because youre being so fucking negative about everything. Because there is nothing to be positive about. Was it or was it not done strictly to keep Big Show in the title scene? And don't give me that "it was done to pop the crowd" bullshit. It was done because the creative team is too fucking lazy to write a good show and they hope to win you over with a stupid stunt. And give me ONE, ONE good reason why Big Show didn't job. Just one. Guest claydude14 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 And give me ONE, ONE good reason why Big Show didn't job. Just one. Because we've seen it before. Or, this way we have another main event player in the scene (albit a slow, fat one). Or, because that would be too predictable. Or, because the writing team actually good a damn fine job, leaving the fans with a 'holy shit' taste in their mouth wondering where this can go next week, how the two men will be effected. IT WAS FINE BOOKING.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 14, 2003 And give me ONE, ONE good reason why Big Show didn't job. Just one. Because we've seen it before. And we're going to see it again. Why not Thursday? Or, this way we have another main event player in the scene (albit a slow, fat one). Stop Jobbing Benoit and use him. Or, because that would be too predictable. And a win next week will be less so? Or, because the writing team actually good a damn fine job, leaving the fans with a 'holy shit' taste in their mouth wondering where this can go next week, how the two men will be effected. Holy shit: Fine Brock not capitalizing on that Holey Shit and winning: Not fine.

Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The ring-posts looked really not secure throughout the show, and they really seemed hinged at the end. I liked it.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted June 14, 2003 The inconclusive end gives it that tune in next week edge Bingo. Brock beating Big Show AGAIN does nothing for either guy, so it will be great to see the reprecussions of the bump next week.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I loved it also, I always love over the top things like that for the most part. Not only does the live crowd LOVE stuff like that, but it seems "important". When I saw this happen, it gave me the same feeling that I used to get in WWE at the height of their success a few years back. The "anything can happen" feeling, the feeling that I used to get when someone would be slammed through the mat, the feeling I used to get when Austin or someone would pull one of their crazy stunts/antics. It was just cool and shocking, that's one of the many things WWE has been missing (no, HLA and the such is NOT the type of shocking I'm talking about either, lol). ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 Brock not capitalizing on that Holey Shit and winning: Not fine. I think they're trying to make it sort of like what happened during the Rockers/Hart Foundation match that was shown in a house show. If the ring is destroyed in any way, shape, or form...the result won't count.

Brock beating Big Show AGAIN does nothing for either guy, Well, this feud has to end eventually (God willing) and if you don't think Brock should beat Big Show again, how will this feud end... Oh my God. Well, it's obvious that they weren't going to have Brock defeat Big Show AGAIN; what good would that do for either man, really? (besides send TBS back into the scrap heap - now that's good.) Based on the build-up to the match, something memorable was bound to happen, especially to cloud the fact that we seen this match-up (a gimmick match, no less) at the last PPV, and we had a decisive finish THERE. Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I know it wouldn't have had the "tune in next week to find out what happens" feeling, but how could would it have been if, after that spot, Brock puts his arm across Big Show's chest to pin him: 1-2-KICKOUT! And then Big Show and Brock get up and keep fighting inside that broken ring, almost ignoring the fact that it's broken because they hate eachother so much. Two giants fighting inside a demolished area. It would've been like a real-life Godzilla movie.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted June 15, 2003 And I don't mind Big Show in main events as long as his opponent is Brock Lesnar.
Guest Nater Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I like this godzilla direction. While its easy to dismiss Big Show, can you honestly say that given the match we saw that you were upset about how its flow was? It wasnt a typical TBS stink-fest, Brock and Show are working better. Ahh hell with it, I cant be positive about anything. WHY THE HELL DOESNT ANGLE HAVE METAL WINGS AN LASER EYES!! GIVE HIM THE TITLE DAMN IT *CRY*CRY*CRY*
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I've really like the Big Show-Lesnar matches. There's always a sense of anticipation in them and Lesnar has made Show work really hard in the ring. I say quit moaning and enjoy the matches because you know deep down that you really love them. Love and Mercy.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I've really like the Big Show-Lesnar matches. There's always a sense of anticipation in them To be honest... yeah. Big Show is the only person to have a singles win over Lesnar on PPV, and there's always that sense of "he could beat Lesnar again."
