Matt Hardy in line for Push

It's good that Hardy is going to get a push, but really, what did he do for the cruizerweight division?  Not a lot, IMO.

I think he did elevate the division. Look at previous champs before him: Jamie Noble was decent, but he didn't seem like he was too over with the crowd. It seemed that his title reign lasted forever (June-November), but not that that was bad. Kidman is never over, so he was a waste. The crowd seemed to be into Matt as the champ. The only problem, IMO, was that his only title matches were at No Way Out (where he won it) and WM.

That's my point. I don't know how he elevated the division when most of his time in it consisted of only a couple title defenses, and the rest of the time he was spending hanging around the heavies anyway (wrestling the likes of Benoit, for example).

But what's with the Kidman hate around here? Sure, the guy's got little charisma, but I think he's pretty damn talented in the ring.

He is ok but is TOTALLY vanilla in the ring...

Matt's getting a push? YES! I wonder how big of a push it will be...

Oh, and Kidman is the definition of "Vanilla Midget". Harsh, but kind of true.

Think this is what Trips was talking about?

Make yourself get a push. Impress somebody.

For all the hate HHH gets he sure proved a good number of his haters wrong when he said "you work for that push" and lo and behold Matt impresses and is in line for a push.

Maybe Book and RVD should take some pointers.

But Crips meant "go down on Stephanie after a hard and sweaty workout."

we may all be jumping the gun. I want to see what kind of "push" he really gets. Just as long as he steers clear from Taker, who seemed to have killed his last push.

Please don't think that I'm picking on you or anything, because I've noticed a lot of people do this...

How do you know when someone is working hard? Like, how do you know that maybe Booker and RVD aren't trying to expand their movesets and trying new moves behind the scenes, sort of speak? I'm not saying they are, but do we really know?

I've noticed a lot of people will say how 'lazy' a wrestler is, and how some assume that one doesn't work hard. But in reality, do we really know?

I don't think you are CC. I don't think I called them lazy or trying to say they aren't trying to see if new things either.

By the looks of things, I think we can assume that Nash does not work hard. But its only my assumption.

Good. It's just that the "maybe RVD and Booker should take pointers" kind of reminded me of it.

No one is rewarded in the WWE for hard work, or for being over.

You can go back and read and it never says WWE repays wrestlers' hard work.

Well i guess McMahon liking Hardy nullifies Johnny Ace wanting to depush Hardy, hopefully they actually do something with this supposed push, not just forget about it in a week like they usually do.

Actually Ace got his wish when Hardy lost his push to Albert last December (I think).

The problem with this is:

Matt busts his ass for almost a year to get noticed.

Jones "impressed" Vince because of his look, and probably these days impresses him when he throws a decent punch or kick.

Get that checked out. I think you might have a cock in your throat. It looks like Angle's.

How are you gonna say Jericho doesn't get pushed?

How are you gonna say Rhyno didn't get pushed?

Benoit I agree on. He hasn't really gotten a push but he's been in many main events.

...

Benoit's getting more of a push than Jericho. He's won one or two (and only one or two) high profile matches in the last year.

How are you gonna say Rhyno didn't get pushed?

Whn Rhyno is ACTUALLY ON SMACKDOWN, he never wins.

That translates to no push.

And if you have to go back over a month to find a win, it's pointless.

Jericho gets pushed?

Jericho never wins matches anymore.

As opposed to you having Hunter's cock down your throat?

Kidman was given an shot in WCW against HULK FUCKING HOGAN and he dropped the ball because he just wasn't interesting enough...although WCW booking had a helping hand in that...

Oh please, Unca' Hulk just wanted something new to squash.

To be fair, Torrie probably hadn't had the chance to drain a young man's life force that day.

I wish I got the joke. It's just that her face is way more craggy and everything than when she's performing. By contrast. His big problems is that he says almost nothing and he's short (not Rey short or anything of course, but my height, and I know I do look up to quite a few people)

Wow! A gold star for originality!

Neither did Scott Steiner. Or 3 Tons Of Fat Samoans, for that matter.

He was running feuds with Test, Shawn Michaels, and Jeff Hardy all at the same time. He won the Hardy one at No Way Out, came off looking like a mega heel after the Stacy shenanigans with Test (and let's not bring up how ugly Stacy's "chairshot" was, because crap like that doesn't matter when we talk about getting someone over with marks), lost to HBK because Shawn is Shawn and won't lay down for people but still carried a cripple to a WrestleMania match of the night. Now he gets promo time on every program, even ones where HHH says little to nothing (it's happened in the past month or so.) A report said he's pushing for HiLite Reel segments on house shows and such. And with this Goldberg feud he's taken the role of psychological mastermind like HHH used to do before he went screwy.

Is that not enough to be considered pushed?

Guest Anglesault

A Test feud is not a push.

A Jeff Hardy feud is not a push

A Jeff Hardy feud based on jericho being Jeff's first win in months is certainly not a push.

Losing to Shawn, no matter how well he carried him, is not a push.

Promo time is not winning a match, and thus, is not a push.

Having Zero offense sold by Goldberg and going into a squash at the PPV is not a push.

Matt deserves the push if he gets it. I would love to see Matt jump into the U.S. Title division, along with Benoit, Cena, Eddie, and Rhyno. Matt is over, and when I first heard of his gimmick, I thought it was stupid, but it's won me over.

Guest RavishingRickRudo

The US title is not a push. It's only value is to attract people's eyes towards your waist/shoulder.

Guest Austin3164life

If the US Title is going to be held by Benoit, Rhyno, Eddy, and Cena this year, and Matt is also associated with them in storylines (most of these guys are seen as upper-carders) than yes, it counts as a push.

Guest RavishingRickRudo

No it doesn't. A push for a meaningless title isn't a push. It's stalling.

See, this is one thing I hate. When titles other than the top ones are called "meaningless".

The IC and US titles shouldn't be considered "meaningless"...that's what made them get rid of the former in the first place.

They help to push a wrestler just as much, in my opinion.
