I believe he hasn't been anywhere near as mobile since he badly tore his knee at Superbrawl 98 I think?

He was mobile enough to HEADLINE wcw for 1999 for a good chunk of time...

1999 WCW=2003 Raw

Yeah but crappy Sid, crappy Nash, crappy Hogan, and deteriated Sting were also considered viable headliners of WCW in 1999....

Piper was gone in early 1999 after his commish role died and he cut a "your the future promo" calling Bagwell the future and Elix Skipper to take over the industry...

Meanwhile

Crappy Nash=EVEN CRAPPIER NASH

CRAPPY SID=CRAPPY STEINER

CRAPPY HOGAN=CRAPPY HOGAN

Deteriated Sting=Deteriated Flair

Nothing has CHANGED!

You know Piper wasn't the only one who would call Bagwell the future in WCW. I think Ric Flair had some sort of deal with Buff or something cause he would always mention him with greatness. Anyone remember that?

Ric Flair: "And as time passes.....whoooooooooo.....and you see the greatest performers of our time. Flair, Sting, Steamboat, Anderson, Funk.....Bagwell....whoooooooooo"

Oh yeah, you've just got to see the Piper vs Bagwell boxing match from Beach Blast 99, that's a top card all round with such classics as Rick Steiner vs Van Hammer, Disco Inferno vs Cat, the Junkyard invitational and the incredible main event of Sting/Nash vs Sid/Savage *****OMG!!!! :)

Yep and the list would always change

but it ALWAYS ended with Bagwell..ALWAYS...

Methinks it was a inside joke or just flair was truly losing his mind...

The only past stars I would be interested in seeing are Sting and Savage, and they are yet to be signed. Maybe they are saving the best for last?

I'm shocked that they haven't signed Van Hammer yet.

Unless he's actually Test.

I'm getting real sick and tired of WWE bringing in all of these past and big name stars to the company in hopes that ratings will go up and biz will pick up. Haven't they learned by so many failed attempts that it's just not gonna work. All the guys they've brought in: Steiner, Hogan, Nash, Piper, Goldberg, HBK, Austin and now Mick Foley.

When are they gonna realize that it's time to push the current talent they have and create their own stars like they did with HHH, Rock, and Austin. What is it gonna take for them to realize this? They must push guys like Storm, Booker, RVD, Christian, Jericho, Lesnar, Benoit, Mysterio, Edge, Cena

When are you people going to realize that it's not the fault of the wrestler's they're bringing in and that the creative team is whose to blame.

I actually wouldn't mind Sting if he came back. Let's face it, if there is a guy who spent an entire career dealing with bad booking and yet still stayed over, it would be him. Most fans like him, not that many LOATHE him at least.

He said that it was the WWE's fault because the WWE and their creative team are the one's who are pushing the wrong guys. Where did he say that the wrestlers are to blame? I agree with him, of course.

Piper, Sable, Steiner and the rest couldn't draw shit even if William Fucking Shakespere was writing the scripts...

Of course not! William wouldn't be able to put up with Stephanie's shit long enough to write a script.

I would pay to see Test, Stacy and Steiner act in a play as Romeo, Julia and Mercucio.
