Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Path of Destruction, for one reason and one reason only... Brian Pillman. "Smaaaaaaaaaaaaart Maaaaaaaaaaaarks". It's an Easter Egg. Keith tells you how to access it in his rant on the DVD. Best. Promo. Ever.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Doesn't POD have Tajiri vs. Psicosis on it? Aka: The type of match you'll never see in the WWE. Go for Anarchy Rulz 99.
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Anarchy Rulz 99 has Lance Storm vs Jerry Lynn Simon Diamond/Jazz vs Nova/Chetti Little Guido vs Super Crazy vs Taijiri Justin Credible vs Sabu Masato Tanaka vs Mike Awesome vs Taz Rob Van Dam vs Balls Mahoney Heatwave 98 has Lance Storm vs Chris Candido Jerry Lynn vs Justin Credible Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka Sabu/RVD vs Hayabasu/Hakushi Taz vs Bigelow Dudleyz vs Spike/Dreamer/Sandman Anarchy Rulz would have been so much better if Johnny Smith had been left in the main event- wtf were they thinking replacing him with Balls? The triple threat cruiser match is on Extreme Evolution- btw get that next if you haven't already- it's nearly as good as Path of destruction. IMO the awesome/Tanaka match is better at Anarchy Rulz but I also prefered Credible/Lynn and Storm/Candido to Credible/Sabu and Storm/Lynn. I'd personally go for Hetawave because imo the matches are generally better with Bigelow/Taz being better than RVD/Mahoney

Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Unfortunately, I have the UK release of POD. The "smaart maark" promo is nowhere to be seen! I'm sure it isn't even an easter egg. I was pissed that the fingerpoke of doom wasn't on the R2 nWo DVD. And the Mewes' 'roid wasn't on J&SBSB, either. Bastard BBFC...

EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 And much as I hate to double-post, I should probably point out that, IMO, the best all-round ECW show is probably Guilty As Charged '99. Hot ass Tajiri-Super Crazy match, great RVD-Lance Storm match, and a decent Taz-Shane DOuglas bout. A lot of people champion Heatwave '98 as ECW's best show, but the RVD/Sabu vs Hayabusa/Shinzaki is overrated and sloppy as all hell, Tanaka-Awesome is good, but they've had better (i.e. on the Extreme Evolution DVD), and the rest is pretty much filler. Just in case mine is such "expert opinion". The N2R 99 match between Tanaka and Awesome wasn't even their best match. That occured later that year on 12/23, when they had an absolutely brutal brutal match on TNN, making their N2R match seem TAME in comparison. If any of you have seen that match, it's just something absolutely insane. The spots include: Tanaka getting a running Awesomebomb off the apron through the table on the outside (which played into some PSYCHOLOGY with Tanaka not really able to use the Rolling Elbow until the very end when he Misawa's into one). Tanaka turning an Awesomebomb from the top into a Top Rope Tornado DDT...through a fuckin table. Tanaka hitting a German on the table... Awesome with another Running Awesome Bomb that nearly kills Tanaka dead... And the aftermath...a great fuckin angle, where Awesome acts all noble and puts the belt around his waist and raises his hand, only to FUCKIN MURDER him with a lariat, and then putting him over the top rope through a table on the outside (set up beautifully by THE JUDGE off camera, methinks) with another Awesomebomb in front of the entire locker room which had come out to watch. The entire match and angle goes down as one of ECW's best, and something I love to watch over and over again.
