Guest jester Report post Posted June 19, 2003 Ok, hate him or love him, Goldberg doesn't seem to be accomplishing much at WWE (except pissing people off, if the rumors are true). It looks like he is not going wrestle the company's top names for some time, if ever. And he said not to be a huge mark for himself and uncooperative. So what do you think of this suggestion: 1. Build him up, even letting him pin HHH for the title. 2. Endure whatever bullshit he dishes out, and then... 3. Montreal him. LEGIT. No dim-the-lights-Rock/Hogan bullshit. I mean 100% McMahon at his slimiest ring-the-fucking-bell. So like, discuss and stuff. What wrestler gets the big honor? What do you think it would do to the WWE's fortunes? I think they could offer Ted Turner a speaking role to set off such a WWE/WCW feud since Turner stepped down from AOL-TW and lost a lot of money on that venture, but he probably also has a lot of Fuck You money to refuse it. Company morale took a nose dive following the Bret screwjob, but signs were there that WWF was going to bounce back, especially since Austin hadn't been elevated yet. Right now, WWE has nothing of the sort on the horizon. Plus with morale being down already because of low payoffs from the dwindling house show business, the last thing the locker room needs is for one of it's biggest contracted guys to get screwed over by the promoter. If McMahon spun it to them as "getting rid of the troublemaker" they might buy it. Though Steviekick, you're right. If you do it, you better have McMahon leave the country right after and have massive security on hand to deal with Goldberg. The guy will rampage. Already anyone on creative who disagrees with things gets forced out ala Heyman, Bret's problems were more about contracts and refusals to job. Montreal'ing F.Goldberg just because he throws a tantrum is going to make everyone else scared of voicing their opinions. On the other hand, if he refuses to job the belt to an A-list star (Austin, Rock, Undertaker) or a B-list star (Angle, Lesnar, or even HHH), then Montreal his ass. Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Benoit walk out of WCW as Champ and WCW kept the belt? I think everyone learned something from Flair '92. Even if F.Goldberg kept the belt, I'd imagine they'd switch back to the original WCW title (they switched to a fake prior to WrestleMania) and the marks would never know.
