Well, I've been on a shitload of movie chatrooms today, and one of the recurring rumors is that WB and Jon Peters in particular are trying to push Ashton Kutcher as Batman. Their thinking is that since he's young, he could do 4 or 5 films for them.

 

 

Fuck, at this point... the hobo who asks Jon Peters for quaters could be in the running for Batman. Jon, JUST LET NOLAN MAKE HIS DAMN BATMAN MOVIE.

Its said to be called: "Batman: The Frightening" it'll feature The Scarecrow and go off the existing continuity but be radically different in tone from the last 4.

Jon Peters has made money for people in the past. That's all the studios care about. Any Batman movie will likely do $200 mil minimum, good or not, so it will get made. We will all seeit, and we will agree that it will suck.

That'd ridulous. I'm laughing right now just picturing Ashton Kutcher as Batman. I think, really, you'd have to compromise Batman's height and muscle developement to get the best performance. I haven't seen anyone in any movie ever who was the right size, had the right look, and could act.

It's being reported that Warner Brothers wants flash in the pan of the moment Ashton Kucher to play Batman instead of Nolan's original choice, Guy Pierce.

 

My question: when exactly did Ashton Kucher become famous? And when will it end?

Honestly, I have no other way to describe him. That's ALL I've EVER seen him do. I would NEVER be able to take a Batman movie seriously with that schmuck in it.

 

I mean, hell, at least Keanu Reeves had a few years to stop being a stoner so he could work on being more badass.

 

On the plus side, if this goes through, it means that every existing Batman movie will be bumped up a notch on the "Best Batman Movies" list....

Whoever plays the character, it will be a no-name actor. The latest that I've heard from Nolan, is that he really wants a new actor to play the part, instead of someone who is already famous, in order to make it so you can REALLY feel that the character is Batman.

I thought Peters was only connect to Superman movie (which will never get made as long he's onboard; if it does it'll probably suck). Did he somehow get stroke back into the Batman franchise?
