Detailed Review of HBK DVD

I think some of you rate way too highly. Eh, in my view Shawn's best match was that RAW tag in 97 W/Austin against Bulldog/Owen which was around ****. I would say that MG was ***3/4 and HIAC was ***1/4 (heavily overrated imo). There has, at most, only been about one 5 star match in US history and even then it was highly debateable.

Well, I suppose that many could argue that it doesn't live up to other matches proclaimed ''*****'', such as Kawada/Misawa '94, Kobashi/Hansen '93, Misawa/Tsuruta '90 etc etc.

Got mine from Amazon, excellent, although too much filler and too few matches.

And I have no idea why the alternate commentary for the Nash/HBK match has to include them at a table in the bottom corner, forcing them to squish the match into a smaller portion of the screen.

They do that?~! Jesus Fuck, how hard is it for this company to do something simple?

The tag match w/ Austin vs. Owen/Bulldog certainly wasn't HBK's best match. I don't know which one is (and I find Michaels to be terribly overrated in every catagory other than bumping), but I watched that match and was like "okey dokie, this is another tag match". But then again, I don't see anything particularly *****-ish about any of the Steamboat/Flair matches either.

best match = mindgames. that's the only shawn match that's actually gotten better the numerous times i've seen it. they tie the crazy shit together in just the right way that i felt like the match could just explode at any moment. it's this weird sense of sustained chaos, and i've never seen another match that pulled it off as well.
