Freddy vs. Jason

Recommended Posts

Guest Lethargic

Oh yeah, I thought of something else. The lead actress kept distracting me cause I was thinking "Brittany Murphy should really sue her for stealing her face."

No, Jason wasn't all deformed as a kid in the original movie. He was pretty normal looking before drowning.

Jason was always a mongoloid. Don't believe that bullshit you saw at the end of Friday The 13th Part 8.

I was satisfied with the movie, it was worth the ten year wait and I thought it lived up to anticipation / hype. This movie indeed was the true sequel to Freddy's Dead / Jason Goes To Hell and that Jason X and New Nightmare were just horrible what if stories although it was pretty cool that F Vs. J used a couple of plot points from those movies. When the fight was finally over, I shit you not, the audience was applauding / giving an ovation because of how fucking cool the movie / fight was. It felt just like a wrestling match because it was going back and forth and you had your Jason and Freddy fans rooting for their respective horror movie hero.

I'm a Jason fan, but even I have to admit...

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Freddy was winning that fight in the real world although in Jason's defense, he did block the "killing blow." Basically, Jason won due to outside interference. :P

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Me and my friends had a long argument about who truly won. I mean the war isn't over but Jason won the battle. I mean come on....he walked away with the guys head.

that's bad ass right there

yeah Jason was always a retarded weird looking kid.

Freddy is definitly the villain in this movie and Jason is like in the middle if the good guys and the bad guy.

Oh man, I had a great time watching that movie! In my nearby theatre, over 200-250 people went. The lines.....WOW...long as hell.

When the fight between Jason and Freddy began, the WHOLE theatre erupted into applause and excitement. That was the best movie experience I ever had. You know there is a part two because....

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

At the end, when Jason walked away with the head of Freddy, Freddy winked.

Oh man, I can't wait for the sequel!!

Durring their first scuffle (in the dream world) when Freddy was banging Jason around like a pinball I was so waiting for "You forgot the Powerglove!"

And that was the best movie crowd I've ever seen a movie with. Hell, I might go see it again.

Yeah, I'll admit, that was a good line...but it seemed like he was trying too hard to be Jay the rest of the time.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

how does Kelly Rowland get killed

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

She's trash talking to Freddy, blah blah blah...she's walking backwords while she's doing it. Freddy pokes a finger at what's behind her, she turns around, and Jason just whacks her...the audiance loved it.

but it's late in the film...should of happened sooner.

I was so not impressed by the movie. Actually I wasn't alone, the whole movie theather was commenting on how it sucked and they need to stop making this shit. It was more funny stupid. My brother and I were sitting there laughing during the whole movie. The comedy was good, but the "horror and terror" was a fucking joke. Just like Halloween, they should have stopped while they were ahead.

Yeah the theater I went to loved the movie to. Everyone was commenting about how good it was as they were leaving.

Your theater must be an oddity because it seems everyone else liked it.

I saw it, loved it, and only had two complaints. Those being the black girl, and the slow part near the middle of the film. Other than that, I had a great time, was more excited durring a viewing of a film than I've been since Star Wars I, and everyone else was really active in the crowed, everyone was having a balls out great time. I'll post more of a review later if I feel like it, lol.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

the ending would've been alot better if after freddy went into the lake Jason was standing there looking at the two survivors. The girl thinking he helped them thinks they are safe and as she thanks him Jason butchers them and walks off with his music playing.

I would've marked out for that.

The theater I was at wasn't into the movie at all either. If I had seen the movie with surroundings like some of you other guys saw it in, I might've gotten tricked into liking it too. The few people that were there around me all seemed pretty bored. There were two reactions, when Freddy jumped out in the dream "the old pop out of nowhere cheap scare", that made everybody jump, and then the goalie line. That was it. The rest of the time everybody just sat there with quite a few of them talking through it. As soon as it ended, I was the only one who didn't immediately jump up and walk out. I at least stayed through the cast list. Everybody else left like the place was on fire.

Plus the theater didn't turn the lights off for the movie. The two movies I were disappointed at this summer was this one and Reloaded. At BOTH of those movies, the lights were left on and I was sitting right underneath one so I had a spotlight on me for the entire movie. That might not be a coincidence.

I also was wanting everyone to die in the film.

In terms of the theater there really weren't all that many people at the showing I went to (which was a 1pm matinee in the huge main theater). My bro and I were laughing our asses off throughout the movie, mainly at the occasional one liner and definitely the hilarious kill scenes with Jason.

I'd probably go see a sequel should they do one, whether it be with Michael Myers or with Ash.

It seems that amongst the TSM faithful, the black "anything" in a movie or on TV constitutes a complaint. Maybe you can elaborate on what the "black girl" did that needs to be complained about or was it just the fact that she was there?

Kelly Rowland was a horrible actor and she made the other bad actors(everyone not named Englund) look like good actors by comparison. There was nothing about her you can defend.

Besides the remarks are directed at black pop stars that never seem to die in new horror movies. If they were white pop stars the remarks would still be made, so don't make it into a black thing.

I remember this exact conversation taking place a while ago when Rowland was announced for the movie and everyone said they wanted her to die.

There is NOTHING to read into that CJ.

Straight up it's because LL Cool J survived in his Halloween movie and because Busta survived in the next one.

It's as simple as people not liking that they always survive.

Now...the LL one I agree that he should have died...I mean he was shot in the HEAD.

Busta should have lived though...he was the only good thing in that movie.

Rowland was terrible in the movie.
