Guest the r-train Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 On Velocity, those little teasers telling us of few matches that will be taking place on this Thursday's SmackDown happened to have the word "live" with them. Can this be true, or is this some sort of an evil trick?

I personally can't wait for the six-man main event with Mr. America, Brock Lesnar, and Kurt Angle, teaming against Team Angle and Big Show.

They never used to put that on the screen except for the rare times when SD! actually was live. It wasn't like they would go out of their way to tell you the majority of SDs were taped, but they weren't blatantly bullshitting you about it being live either. I think they started with the "Live" BS on Smackdown when they changed the graphics and music last month. Weird.

If I didn't tell my wife the show was taped, she would never know. I think its a real nitpicky thing...who cares if they say its live or not. Would the show be more enjoyable if they flashed TAPED 2 DAYS AGO on the screen every now and then? niko
Guest D'Lo White Posted June 23, 2003 Report Posted June 23, 2003 ...even though the last LIVE! Smackdown was over a year ago. They had a live Smackdown earlier this year. I can't believe you could forget it. It had that great Dawn/Al Wilson wedding. Actually, I remember the show as being one of the worst Smackdown's all year, so its must be a good thing that they don't go live more often.
