Guest RollingSambos Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Is it just me, or have the folks at WWE.com touched up the pics of Kane unmasked to make the black goo look more like burns? It looks like they added browning around the edges of the "burns"...
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Post pics. I'm too lazy to change sites right now.
Guest Trivia247 Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 all I got to say is that they better... or they are fucking up 6 years of story development into one character.
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 I guess not: The burns look either like crap or pretty decent, depending on the lighting and angle.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Nobody could have ever imagined that Kane looked as he does. Even the WWF media department is taking shots at this
Guest Choken One Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Yep...Difference between the actual picture and the WWE.com pictures I am convinced that Glen Jacobs is Sid Eudy's Twin
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 He really does look like Taker's bro though...look at that last pic...he looks JUST like Taker did at Judgment Day 2000, when he rolled up his eyes...
Lil' Bitch Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 He's so ugly he makes blind people cry...
Guest Cerebus Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Kane's real face makes Baby Jesus cry.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Somehow he still has bad teeth. But you can see that he is now "burned" all over his his face by looking at the eyes because of that black make-up. Why couldn't they atleast tried to make him look disformed. They had months just waiting to unmask him?
Guest netslob Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 uh, Kane...that's just soot...you can wash that off...
Guest Razor Roman Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Did anyone in the WWE notice that burn victims don't have soot on their faces 30 years later? Christ. Vince should have rented Shallow Hal or something and copied the makeup effects off of that. (When Jack Black sees the little girl who is a burn victim) Would it have been better if they just payed him off as being OK all along and working us all? (BAH GAWD! He lied to us!)
Guest jtronx Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 I was worried that without the mask he'd look like Isaac Yankem but with that hair he looks more like Bastion Booger.
Guest The Old Me Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 He does look like a FREAK. I'm interested to see where this goes next week, and if Kane is now dead, so to speak.
Internet Warfare Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Wouldnt it be great when he wrestles the mascarra(SP) drips and reveals that he's not burned and the entire time he liked putting on make-up. Yeah, I'm a loser
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 He does look like Taker’s brother! That’s freaking eerie right there. My only question is, why did he have long hair to cover his face when Orton and Batista unmasked him a few months ago?

There's a lot of explaining to do next week.
Guest evilhomer Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 The scorched off hair kind of loses the effect when you can clearly see that it's just a #1 buzzcut.
Guest OnlyMe Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 So if he wrestles without the mask now, and sweats, won't it end up like the Ultimate Warrior's facepaint always did? Or would Kane have to wrestle hard enough to work up a sweat
Guest mach7 Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Is WWE missing the part where burns DO NOT STAY BLACKENED after 20+ years of healing? If anything, he'd have reddish/pinkish scar tissue all over his face. Fucking lame. $10 says that they have his whole head shaved and he starts wearing facepaint a la Demolition to cover up this mess. Either that or he simply puts the mask back on.

Hey, wasn't that WCCW's explanation of The Great Kabuki's wearing facepaint? (i.e. he was hideously scarred so he hides it by paining his face) I at least remember some story in Wrestling '89 which explains that it happened when fans rioted after a (no I am not making this up) Hindu Hot Coals Match with Kabuki. As for how the angle came off, well that's WWE in a nutshell...not even trying. Oh, and Triple H wins again too. (Seriously, would "scar tissue" makeup hold out in a wrestling match?)
King Cucaracha Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 It's funny cause Kane's 'scars' look like the face paint Kevin Nash used to wear as part of the Master Blasters. Anyone who's seen it knows what I'm talking about.
