The Jericho shirt: So damn close!

Recommended Posts

Guest Anglesault

When I first saw the "Highlight Reel" shirt tonight, I really thought they were on to something. The front wasn't offensive, wrestling fans would know what it was, but non fans wouldn't mock it.

I even said "Now, only if it said "Highlight of the Night" it would be the best ever. And I think it does.

But

That God Damn size 86 CHRIS JERICHO on the back just immediately DQ's it from public wearing, except with a jacket over the back.

At leasr they're on the right track.

I still think the "I'm The King of The World" shirt is the best one.

I also liked his King of the World one.

Front: I'm the King of the World

Back: And you just live in it Junior.

EVIL INDEED and nWo are the two best shirts ever.

I hate people who are scared to wear WWE T-shirts in public. Actually, hate is a strong word...I feel sorry for your obviously low self-esteem.

well some shirts are just downright offensive and stupid...

I will NEVER wear a shirt with ANY photo of said wrestler or anything that has a dumb saying

"ALWAYS POUNDING ASS" is the ultimate embrassment...if not the STEINER full body picture shirt...

Outta bout 150 WWF shirts...

About 13 of them are good for public wear...

You know, I own the EVIL shirt and despite how cool it looks on Funaki and TAKA, I've found that the bright blue is a bit too loud for daily casual wear. I get great compliments when I wear it to wrestling events, though.

Would a shirt saying "Bring on the Hurt, Kurt" be embarassing to wear in public?

Well, yeah, but I'm not ashamed to have "CHRIS JERICHO" on my shirt. Jericho is God, and all should bow down.

Well if you want to wear a shirt that says "You Bring the Ass!" or "Always Pounding Ass" in any sort of social setting, go right ahead, you loser.

Extremely.

Tell that to the people who have never heard of him. I'll be looked on like a Dragon Ball Z viewer.

The two people who have never heard of Chris Jericho or don't like WWE can lick my ballsack. And like it. I'll wear whatever I want.

Why? I mean, if you are a die-hard wrestling fan, you'll wear it. What's gonna stop you, marks? They don't know nothing.

You're too picky. I still want one.

Does anyone who doesn't watch wrestling know who Chris Jericho is? I mean, he's not The Rock, or Stone Cold, or Hulk Hogan, or any publically-recognized figure like that.

For once, HHH's holding down benefits you!

I don't like to reveal my obsession with wrestling to non-wrestling fans, or people I have respect for. The perfect shirt would be one that was insider enough to attract other wrestling fans, but not ugly enough to repel your other friends.

Should I make fun of someone who has a KISS shirt or Metallica shirt? I'm not gonna make fun of someone because of their personal beliefs. So why would they make of me?

There are VERY limited shirts you can wear as if they were normal shirts and Non-wrestling people wouldn't be able to catch a damn thing

as nice and Subtle as "Austin 3:16" is...it's still a wrestling shirt same as with NWO shirt...

I have no problem wearing wrestling shirts in public. It strikes up conversations with people you never knew watched wrestling.

I mean I can't count the number of times I was out in my RVD(the one with the bone dragon) or Booker T shirt to have someone go "Hey did you catch RAW last night?"

And it's someone you didn't know watched wrestling. Of course they usually go like this:

"Hey did you catch RAW last night??"

"Yeah it sucked."

"I agree...."

Talking to Marks is annoying though....

"Raw is better then Smackdown!"

"Yeah, in some parts."

"The only good thing on Smackdown is Hogan and Undertaker!"

"........."

"If Hogan and Undertaker were on Raw, no one would watch Smackdown!"

"I'm gonna walk away now...."

I can do one better than that: my first week of university I went to the first big rez party of the year and wore my cheap Wal-Mart Rock shirt: just "The Rock" with the blue bull. After getting totally bombed I started busting out the Rock impersonations and quickly became the star of the whole party. For the rest of the year I was "The Rock" to about 2000 people on campus. It was often a good conversation starter: guys I didn't know would be like "hey you're the Rock!" and we would go from there.

Yeah, I agree. Most of the time if I do pull out a wrestling shirt, it's all marks talking. It's interesting at first, but then they show off total markdom, bringing up the stuff that I like least and I talk about what I like and they look at me like I have two heads and go back to how evil that Vince McMahon fellow is.
