Zach Gowan and Mr. America...

I know I shouldn't try to apply logic to WWE storylines, but I just couldn't resist....

1. So if Zach Gowan doesn't have a WWE contract, why is he in every city they go to? Is he paying for all this traveling himself? And why do they keep letting him backstage when he not only doesn't work there, but he doesn't even have a ticket?

2. Stephanie apparently signed Mr. America sight unseen because she thought he'd be a big star. But he's only wrestled in one match since he's been signed if I recall correctly. So what kind of payoff is this "big star" generating? And did Stephanie really not know it was Hogan, or did she know it was Hogan all along and signed him just to screw Vince?

3. Didn't Zach kind of wonder why he was about to have sex with Sable 2 feet away from a cameraman? In fact, during the "Tell me you want me" scene, the camera angle suggests that the camerman would have been LEANING OVER SABLE'S BACK, flashing the lens directly in Zach's face. Same thing with the "I've never touched a breast before" shot. Who the hell has sex with the girl on top and a cameraman hovering over her back besides porn stars?

4. Finally, does Vince just have a special arm-wrestling table in his trunk or something? Who lugs that thing from city to city on the off chance that someone might want an arm wrestling contest?

Well the arm wrestling contest was planned. So that explains that.

And the others are mysteries along with other WWE angles that will plague mankinds best and brightest for centuries to come.

He asked Kendrick how he got away with it. :P

It seems she didn't know it was him because she didn't want them to meet on Mr. America's debut night. She does seem intent on signing Zach to extract a measure of revenge for this new crazy "I did sexual favors for your business associates" storylines though.

Uh.... Sable's on her way to becoming the next Tammy Sytch and was recording it to sell as her new porn video. Then Vince came in, they laughed over it, and then the same porno flick was about to start again this time with Vince until we were saved by Stephanie, who distracted those involved long enough for the cameraman to get out of there and save us all.

4. Finally, does Vince just have a special arm-wrestling table in his trunk or something? Who lugs that thing from city to city on the off chance that someone might want an arm wrestling contest?

For what it's worth, it WAS planned a week in advance. The HHH/Steiner challenge was made out of nowhere and thus was done on a simple table if you remember.

Um, I don't think mankind's best and brightest concern themselves with professional wrestling.

Mr. America's probably helping him around and all that

"And why do they keep letting him backstage when he not only doesn't work there, but he doesn't even have a ticket?"

Mr. America

"Stephanie apparently signed Mr. America sight unseen because she thought he'd be a big star. But he's only wrestled in one match since he's been signed if I recall correctly. So what kind of payoff is this "big star" generating?"

good oral sex

"And did Stephanie really not know it was Hogan, or did she know it was Hogan all along and signed him just to screw Vince?"

Knew it was Hogan

"Didn't Zach kind of wonder why he was about to have sex with Sable 2 feet away from a cameraman?"

"In fact, during the "Tell me you want me" scene, the camera angle suggests that the camerman would have been LEANING OVER SABLE'S BACK, flashing the lens directly in Zach's face. The camera is never acknowledged in the WWE. Deal with it. :)

"Finally, does Vince just have a special arm-wrestling table in his trunk or something?"

Probably

"Who lugs that thing from city to city on the off chance that someone might want an arm wrestling contest?"

Hey, you never know when you're gonna need an arm wrestling table.

What I want to know is 'Do they still carry the old APA set around?'

They should have APA wandering around backstage on Smackdown and just kind of stumble into thier old set with the door unhinged and crap all over the poker table. This would amuse me for reasons I cannot explain.

He travells around because he's trying to get a contract, and also he's Mr America's oldest and dearest friend. He was let backstage last week because Vince and Sable set him up to think Steph wanted to see him. Before then, it was all to do with the fact he was 'a part of the show'.

2. Stephanie apparently signed Mr. America sight unseen because she thought he'd be a big star. But he's only wrestled in one match since he's been signed if I recall correctly. Apparantly she didn't know. But now she knows, she's just not letting on. The payoff is he's getting the biggest pops on every single Smackdown. He's the most over star on Smackdown, and he brings merchandise sales.

3. Didn't Zach kind of wonder why he was about to have sex with Sable 2 feet away from a cameraman? A bewildered one legged kid. This is just another example of the whole ignore the camera thing in wrestling which annoys many and can be explained by few.

4. Finally, does Vince just have a special arm-wrestling table in his trunk or something? Who lugs that thing from city to city on the off chance that someone might want an arm wrestling contest?

The arm wrestling contest was booked in advance.

Why would Steph sign a 50 year old wrestler that had no reputation, to an iron clad contract, without seeing him wrestle?

Because she is trying to be Ted Turner.

Ignoring the camera is standard for all tv shows. When there is a scene between 2 people in a sitcom, the cameraman and crew on the set are not acknowledged as well, so I don’t have a problem with that.

I do have a problem with Zach traveling from city to city and getting to go backstage or sit in the front row!

And why would anyone hire someone with a no firing clause? What doped-up lawyer drew up that contract?

I'd love to be a WWE cameraman. How many times have they seen hot chicks getting nekkid or random sex acts?

I propose a new show: I'm With Stephanie. I get to follow her around all day and night while keeping up an illusion that there are cameras following us and it's for a reality TV show. Of course, this will all just be part of my master plan to get Levesque out of the way so I can have her for myself, but you get the idea.

Yeah but, here's the thing Cole and Tazz talked about what was going on with Sable and Zack, Vince and Steph must have seen it on a TV somewhere to from the way they talked about it. So, everyone know there was a camera cept Zack.

The kids has 1 leg. Do you think he cares if the nation watches him bust his first nut? I think not.

Actually, Zach is a closet exhibitionist and when he saw the camera, visions of thousands in attendance and millions watching at home (eventually) witnessing his pleasure, he lost control and forgot that he was about to shove one of his few remaining appendages into something that equates to the Bog of Eternal Stentch.

Ugh, God. I need to go scrub my brain with bleach now...

I got one...if Ed Leslie was Ed Leslie, and Adam Copeland was Edge Leslie, does that make Zach...Leg Leslie? ;-)

I have a major problem with the WWE cameraman situation.

Remember halftime heat? When Mick pinned the rock and there was that shot filmed from the invisible camera. And that's happened more than once in the WWE.

Even last night with Kane's dream sequence! WTF! I thought Vince was done insulting our intelligence

The difference between sitcoms and wrestling is that in sitcoms they never acknowledge the cameras except in very rare and unusual circumstances (Zack's "time-outs" in Saved by the Bell, Will's occasional "wink wink" moments in Fresh Prince, and Bernie Mac). In wrestling they switch from acknowledging and ignoring the camera all the time. One segment the camera is there and all the wrestlers know it, and the next segment it's right in their lockeroom and they're oblivious.
