Guest Lethargic Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I cried at the end of Donnie Darko, and usually will water up, but that's because the first time I saw the movie was right after I got news that a friend died. It was Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" that actually got to me. Exactly. To me, that song is so good and so heartbreaking that the ending to that movie would not be the same at all without it. Even watching the video or hearing the song by itself makes me want to cry. That or kill myself. It was just perfect, perfect music for that movie.
Guest Prototype450 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 A tear rolled down my cheek when i saw the ending of the Professional. So what if that's not on the manly movies to cry to list.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I think you'd get a bye on that, even tho it's not on the list, cause The Professional kicks all kinds of ass
Guest Goodear Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I only cry at movies about dogs and robots... does that make me a sociopath?
LooseCannon25 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I only cry at movies about dogs and robots... does that make me a sociopath? Nope.....i cried during freakin WhiteFang and i hate to see animals getting hurt or killed in movies. I also cried at Titanic in the theatre. I tried my hardest not to cry, i looked up towards the ceiling, but thta wasnt too smart cause the tears came rolling down like a faucet when i put my head back down. It's perfectly fine to cry at movies, If you have NO emotion there's a problem
Guest Scalded Dog Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I cried at the end of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring. When they show Boromir dying and continuing to fight while Pippin and Merry try to fight back. Gets me everytime...
Guest Prototype450 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I think you'd get a bye on that, even tho it's not on the list, cause The Professional kicks all kinds of ass thanks raven, I feel special now
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 Well I cry everytime there is an Animal in a movie getting killed. I just feel sorry for the poor things.....I guess it's because I'm an Animal lover. With my 6 dogs, 2 Guinea Pigs, Hamster, and 10 Fish.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 Cried at the end of Cool Hand Luke Traffic Standing in the SHadows of Motown
Guest MaxPower27 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 Stand By Me got me, especially after knowing what happened to River Phoenix. "See you around" "Not if I see you first" *sobs*
Guest HellSpawn Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 Well, I think there is a thread about this same topic out there, but... I only cried (I dunno why) watchin A League of their Own, at the end when they are on the museum.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 interesting story, don't know if I've said it or not, but Madonna played a composite character in A League of Their Own, once of which was a woman, Audry Lafser, who goes to my church and runs the Sunday School. She has baseball cards and all that, it's neat
Murmuring Beast Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I cried at the end of Mrs Doubtfire.
Guest SP-1 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 If a movie doesn't make you laugh or cry or get goosebumps or jump or whatever, then what's the point of watching it? The same guys that are scared to cry at a movie are probably the same guys that sit one seat apart at the theater so nobody will get the impression that they're gay. I think if you do that you're the gayest people on Earth. At Hulk I actually saw two guys come in and sit TWO seats apart and then sit there and yell back and forth at each other. Grow the hell up. Agreed. Completely.
Guest SP-1 Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I've also cried in movies. Moulin Rouge comes to mind immediately.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 25, 2003 Report Posted June 25, 2003 I cried watching Life is Beautiful- Only movie I've really ever cried at
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I've never even had the urge to cry at a movie. I can see why many would want to, but I can't get the image of the director yelling, "CUT!" outta my head long enough to bring out any real emotion. It's probably why I stick to comedies.
Guest Gamengiri2002 Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 The only movie i've openly cried during is magnolia; that movie just totally fucked my shit up. I came close to crying at the end of About Shcmidt, which befuddles me because I can in no way relate to the character being a fraction of his age.
