Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Ravenbomb's collection is prolly one of the best ones I've seen around the board, but that's just my opinion since he has a lot of the same DVD's I have or want. Looking at his collection, I'd say he has a wide range of variety, respect for some classics and a good taste of newer movies. He's also likes wrestling, humor, drama, and anime. Good stuff all around. My collection's in my sig.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Chong's got some movies (the National Lampoon movies and the post American Pie teen movies for example) that aren't my kindof movie, but he's got friggen Sanford and Son, so that more than makes up for it and I almost didn't see his, but then I figured it out, so I did

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 25, 2003 My Collection I've mainly got a tv show thing going; Seasons 1-4 of Buffy, 1-2 of the Simpsons and the first season of 24. You might as well add the 3rd season of the Simpsons and the 2nd Season of 24 to that list. Only reason I don't have them is cause they aren't out. I have a lot Jim Carrey Movies as well. When I get some more expendable cash, Im looking to get Cable Guy and the two Ace Ventura movies, Liar Liar and the Mask on DVD (most of them are in the $9-14 range so its good, plus I have em all on VHS anyway so Im in no big hurry since they are all mostly barebones discs anyway..) Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted June 25, 2003 You pretty much discribed all of the obvious patterns in your collection, but it seems very mainstream as well, which is good or bad, depending on who you ask. I'm not all anti-mainstream, but I don't care for a lot of it.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I realized that some of my DVD's were a strict "I should try it because Ive heard good things" purchase... such as Wickerman, Riki-Oh and Two Thousand Maniacs. Some of them panned out, others didn't... oh well And everyone seems to have their own tastes and they stick with it, like Im a fan of the really stupid, dumb teen comedies.... Guest notJames Report post Posted June 26, 2003 X-Files in general. Notice I don't have anything w/ Gillian other than the X-Files sets. Not for nothing, but Ms. Anderson doesn't exactly have a prolific film resume to her credit, but I catch your drift. Come to think of it, I can't think of anything she's done other than the X-Files. Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted June 26, 2003 I'd be interested in what you guys could come up with for my DVD collection. My personality is so off-kilter I don't think one could nail me down just by looking at what movies I own. But one could always TRY, I suppose. But I have a wife and two kids so keep that in mind as well. And none of my non-Region 1 stuff is represented on that list. Fucking Guzzlefish.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted June 26, 2003 My rather pathetic collection. Those are just the ones I own, personally. My brothers have a few that I like (I think they're in another folder there). Also, my Maple Leafs DVD isn't in their database (yet, anway).

Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 26, 2003 APO's collection says that he has good taste in Sci-Fi and Anime, and excellent taste in TV shows (Damn, I've gotta get the 24 first season!!!) and is either loaded or has accumulated this collection over a long period of time
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted June 26, 2003 http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat...&id=king+kamala I'd like someone to critique mine since it's got such a wide range of movies. The only thing I figured out from looking at it that 50% of them were bought in the $6 and $10 DVD bins.
