You love to f'n laugh and see people get their ass kicked.

Aw yesh!

You also love Vagina Junction!

Even with your smug avatar and sig, there is no greater Family Guy fan, than myself. As I drive down the road, I entertain myself while performing various episodes, as well as making some up, in my various voices, heh.

There is a whole lot of Meet the Parents love going on around here.

Yet no love for Sports Night. Bastards.

It's on my list to buy. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the top 5 greatest programs ever on TV.

I'm also obsessed with Sabrina Lloyd (Natalie on the show), she's on my very short list of "Just About Perfect" women.

Yeah, I'm now really getting into the program. Slowly, I'm realizing its awesomeness. Never really caught much of it during its original run due to its sporadic airings.

"Yeah Peter, I bet you learned a big lesson because of all of this."

"No."

Sabrina Lloyd

She's the only reason I watched more than one episode of Sports Night.

I didn't care for Sports Night that much, but I liked her on Sliders, so I caught a few episodes here and there because of her.

Wah-lah.

EDIT: It should be noted that a good portion of these are my little brother's. You shouldn't have trouble figuring out which are his, I'd think.

What you mean you don't like Elmo in Grouchland and Pokemon??

Oh no those are mine. The Godfather and Taxi Driver are my brother's doing, however.

The majority of you own the Fight Club Special Edition. That tells me you all have generally good taste in films, and that you were smart enough to buy it before it went out of print.

Your DVD collections also tell me that you have way more disposable income than I do. Bastards.

Here is my DVD collection. Like the Descendents once said, "I want to be stereotyped/I want to be classified…"

I have it, but I didn't buy it before it went OOP. I found it on eBay a few weeks ago for $20, so I scooped it up.

IDRM: loves his horror, exploitation & cult comedies--likes the genre traits that consistenly pop up in those movies, sticks with them. off-kilter sense of humor with the TV comedies. as a young american male, has a taste for the more popular movies from the indie explosion. seems to be more of a fan of spectacle than character or plot (though there's some exceptions: stand by me, shawshank, etc).

downhome: for the most part, likes to get guy movies from the past 10 years. has some older sentimental favorites, probably from childhood.

pinjockey: guy stuff, guy stuff & more guy stuff. also a big fan of spectacle.

sakura: big genre fan.

nevermortal: all about the guy movies. you are a MANLY MAN.

5 moves of doom: eclectic mix of generic movies and semi-"what the fuck" off-hollywood movies.

shamrock: likes the bigger stuff from the last 3 years, trying to expand with some older "classic" guy movies.

mr rant: you just suck, there's no other way to put it.

NBT: looooooooves the new stuff; looks like he'll remember liking a movie in the theater, and buying it as soon as it comes out on dvd (i know everybody does that, but him moreso than anyone else in this collection). only goes back for middle school or high school favorites (heat, happy gilmore, etc).

notjames: loves his indies. brings the non-manliness (west side story, princess bride).

insane bump machine: either has way too much money, or lives in a one-room apartment without water, heat or furniture, his only possessions being his tv, dvd player and movies.

dawn: loves the tarantino, & the teen stuff.

the rest are out of luck, cause i'm too lazy to turn sigs on.

I see nothing wrong with my collection. It has a wide variety of taste.

Spot on, guv. And I'll take that second comment as a compliment. ;) Besides, I've yet to hear anyone say anything bad about The Princess Bride.

How would you rate Go compared to some of the films I have in my collection? Do you think I'd like it, because everytime I see it in the video store, I always pass it up thinking it's young Hollywood's poor attempt at a hip ensemble piece. Any comments would be appreciated from anyone else, as well.

don't worry, i was kidding anyway.

'go' = teen version of 'pulp fiction'. straight rip-off of the style & format, only with younger and better-looking people, and more of a dirty-grungy visual style than one that's obsessed with looking cool. the first story-segment is just about perfect; the other two don't hold up as well & become a little too "screwball comedy" for me, but are still very entertaining, and the whole thing is hilarious. i found it at walmart for around $6.

I have about 15/20 more at my place in New Hampshire that I'm completely forgetting right now... in the meantime...

You seem like you could live on TV and wrestling alone if you had to. :D

I didn't even know The Wicker Man had a DVD. Of course, I've never seen the movie either, I've only heard about it. Is the DVD worth picking up? What's it about anyway?

Also, is the Life of Brian Criterion DVD as good, or at least close, to the awesome Holy Grail DVD?

Oh the Wicker Man. The short and short of it... a very religious detective is hired for a missing person's case. The info he has on her (the missing person) leads him to an island off the British Isles. The islanders are nice people, but they seriously FUCK with his beliefs while he tries to solve the case. The ending makes it worth while and Christopher Lee just rules the school. I picked the DVD up without seeing the film beforehand... I kinda regret it, but kinda don't. When I get really bored this summer I'll probably watch it again.

As for the Life of Brian vs Holy Grail... H.G. has a shitload more content in it... if that's what you mean.
