Guest JudasSault Report post Posted June 26, 2003 It has come to my attention, and I'm sure yours, that gimicks are becoming a blight on TSM. The reason, however, is not that these noble folk are simply dumb or unfunny, it is that they are unorganised and directionless. I hereby establish the Ministry of Gimmicks (or M.o.G) and install myself as its leader. The purpose of this ministry is to regulate the use of gimmickry within TSM and offer some simple guidelines as to etiquette within this board. The rules are as follows: 1) All gimmickry should be confined to replies to threads, as opposed to forming new ones 2) Gimmicks should not be offensive to any minority (apart from the humorless) 3) Gimmicks should be entertaining 4) Gimmicks should NOT spam or troll, and must adhere to the topic at hand outside NHB 5) Gimmicks MUST have a gimmick, not just appear to be an average poster with a minor quirk (eg Tiffani Malibu) 6) Gimmicks should not post more often than the actual poster does, nor should they be a replacement for a normal poster, more a alternative to lighten the tone of a thread 7) Any poster should not have more than one gimmick being used at any one point 8) There is no humor in an influx or gimmickry. If at any point there is a load of gimmicks filing a folder or thread, it kills the fun 9) If a gimmick is banned, there should be no complaint 10) If at any point a gimmick is considered to be unfunny, offensive, stupid or just plain old, it must be retired (at least for a period) I would like to make it clear that this is not a call for more gimmicks, but an attempt to organise those present and provide a roll call of those who inhabit this board. I appologise to Dames and the Mods if they take exception to this. If there are any gimmicks who wish to join this little clique, all they should do is reply to this thread.
