Guest Spicy McHaggis Report post Posted June 28, 2003 NCAA Football 2004 - I'm hyping myself up for this by playing 2003. 2004 is going to be awesome. I am preparing for the hours of online time I will spend entering the rosters into the game. Damn straight. You know there's going to be USB keyboard support for the rosters... Guest Star Ocean 3 Report post Posted June 29, 2003 Wow, Arc 4 is now the best (English) PS2 RPG. I highly reccomend it.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted June 29, 2003 Suikoden III is a must have.
Guest Special K Report post Posted June 30, 2003 RPGs-Kingdom Hearts, FFX, Dark Cloud 2. Suikoden III's pretty good too. Action- Devil May Cry (NOT DMC2) Contra: scattered soldier (hard as balls tho). I guess GTA3, but I hate it. At the top of the list has to be the Awesome Dynasty Warriors 4. A grudging reccomendation to Metal Gear Solid 2, which is worse than 1, but gorgeous. THe new virtual missions should make things much more fun. Sports; SSX, SSX Tricky, Tony Hawk (duh) Madden Rhythm-Frequency (better than the sequel, IMO) Gitaroo man! Fighting-Tekken Tag&4, Marvel v Capcom 2, Virtua Fighter. Art games (fun to show your friends and play around w/ for a while)-ICO, Rez Driving-well, Twisted metal black, Gran Turismo's great if it's you bag (it ain't mine) Wipeout. Guest Star Ocean 3 Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Suikoden 3 makes me sad.
Guest Special K Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Me too. I put that it's 'pretty good' since it's a fun game, but Suikoden 2's probably #4 on my all-time RPG list, and SUikoden is probably number 6 or 7. Suikoden 3 is a pale imitation, but a pretty good game nonetheless. BTW SO3, since you seem to like somewhat undeer-the-radar RPGs, you ever play Valkyrie Profile? It's great. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Contra: scattered soldier (hard as balls tho). I just got this used for $10...having a bitch of a time getting off the first set of levels.
Guest Special K Report post Posted June 30, 2003 I consider myself pretty good at action games, but ita was a decent challenge to beat it on easy. Divide by three your number of lives, give 3 continues instead of 99, ramp up the difficulty a little bit (I think certain guys shoot faster, and others take a couple more hits) and then add 2-3 levels (So I've been told, I'm not hard core enough to get there.) And you've got your MEDIUM difficulty.

Guest EricMM Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Where the hell can you find a copy of Rez? I've wanted to try that? Isn't that the game with the Japanese Vibrator periphreal?
Guest Star Ocean 3 Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Valkyrie Profile is one of my favorite RPGs. I really like that tri-Ace decided to do something different in making this game, and the battles just blow away practically every other RPG's gameplay. There's also a sequel confirmed for sometime in the future. I don't want to give anything away, but Valkryie Profile's world is part of a familiar universe... Guest Special K Report post Posted June 30, 2003 YES! VP sequel! You just made my day. I agree on the battle system, it was ALWAYS a joy to play, which is saying something since the last few dungeons had really long fights. Let's hope they don't change it. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2003 I have been waiting a copy of VP for a LONG time, but cannot find it... ah well time to do some comparison shopping.....
Guest Memphis Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty is the greatest video game I've every played. No Playstation owner should be without that game within their library. In fact, just get Substance, as it is the same game only with about another billion added extras. Metal M

Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Just picked up SYM, & HOLY SHIT, it's good. way better than i expected. already beaten the season thing twice in 2 days, since it's fucking addictive. Anyone know where i can find a CAW "clones" list so i can make real guys look like who they're supposed to look like? MGS2 is most likely the next one i'll get (after picking up another memory card). It comes down to that or Evil Dead, & currently MGS is winning based on the feedback & the fact it looks spec-fucking-tacular. Is The Sims any good for PS2? i've played the Gamecube one, & was kinda disapointed, compared to the PC ones. But i did make Flair, so it;'s all good. But is it any better/worse on PS2? Guest Special K Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Evil Dead: FoBS is a good rental, lousy buy. trust me on that. I'm about as big an evil dead fan as you'll find, but evem campbell's one liners are off, and he's phoning it in (which is presumedly one of the big selling points.) The action is fun for a little bit, but gets ultra-repetitive. And off topic, if you don't have Castlevania, Sumphony of the Night, pick it up. It's a PS1 game, it's cheap, and it's one of the few games I'd rate near-flawless. It's 2D, but it's so great looking it still holds up today. It's a metroid style game, BTW. Guest Special K Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Hey, some people whine if a game isn't 3-D nowadays. On price it seems to be going for $25 bucks on eBay, which IS expensive for a greatest hits game. I got it for $10 with the first Abe game 2 years ago.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Just got GTA3 & am kinda hung up on one mission ("Cutting the Grass"), but other than that it kicks ass, much moreso than the PC version, i think. i'm officially starting a VC fund, because murder & flocks of seagulls demand it. How good is 007: Agent Under Fire? is it like Goldeneye-good or Tomorrow Never Dies-bad?
Guest Sakura Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Neither. It's just kinda average run of the mill stuff. It was entertaining enough that I played through it twice, but it's not that long.
