Your one burning ambition.

I'd love to be an actor on TV or in film. Not even a good one, just a well-known one who makes a good load of money.

To be a published novelist.

I've written one book, so I'm already going down that road. It's presently in the last round of revisions I'm going to make.

Same as Barron - to become a successful journalist - I start the course in September

To record an album that people will enjoy.

To find my love and have children.

Elaborate please. I think you're great with the written word, and I'll read this book of yours unless it's about something like baked-goods sexual fetishes.

I want to build a white castle of fear in the rocky mountains, and actually invite Sting and Vader over for dinner.

They could play tug of war for the amusement of my cult followers. Afterwards, we break out the skanky chicks and while the hours away in an obscene acid orgy.

I will read it if it is about baked goods sexual fetishes, although I've got an inkling that it's a cloak and dagger political thriller type deal.

White Bread and Whips?

OK, that sucked. From here on, this thread should be "What will be the title of DrTom's baked goods fetish book?"

Or not.

My big goal is to become a screenwriter and retire by the time I'm 50. My more realistic goal is to become somehow involved in the enterainment industry(Anything but a techie....I hate Techies). Another goal is to become the CEO of a sports franchise, hell I'll even take a WNBA or MLS franchise.

That's closer than the baked goods fetish idea. I guess the best way to categorize it is a spy thriller with important science fiction elements.

Good to see you guys would read it, though. Only 999,998 sales to go!

If Tom was published and did indeed sell that many copies, we'd have to colonize Mars just to make more room for his head.

I know you guys may think this is a small dream, and it is quite impossible, but I genuinally think I have a chance at wrestling. I'm 6'2, about 230lbs, and I will do anything to get into the biz. I am off to mainland Australia in January to check out the wrestling school in Melbourne, and then 12 months later I will legally be able to start wrestling training. At the moment I am onlyn 16, so I can only do the really stupid junior training , where its just 'eat the right foods, train like this' etc. I want to wrestle, and I am training at the gym so I can get stronger. Of course I will be going to university, and I will be getting a double degree, but I will still have a go at wrestling. My ultimate goal would be to wrestle for RoH, not even WWE, because that would be way more prestigous for me.

Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. That or the Spirit Award for Screenplay. After that, move to a really small town and become a crazy reclusive writer who writes bizzare (Mullholland Drive bizzare) screenplays and books

My one burning ambition is to realise Tom's one burning ambition before he does without even trying very hard, thus causing him to doubt his worth as a human being and an author, which will in turn force him to descend into a hopeless spiral of misery, envy, spite, and self-hatred, until one glorious night he winds up puking Night Train through his nostrils outside the Barnes & Noble in which I'm doing a book-signing.

But I'm sure that's a very common dream. :)

To create an RPG that'd be one of the most memorable.

If I ever get over DC, I'm going to have to visit Marney.

Just one?? I have several.

I want to get a divorce and hopefully in the interim (6 months from start to finish for a divorce in California) we can agree peacefully how to separate all the assets, etc. I will definitely be getting the divorce, but whether everything will be peaceful, I seriously doubt.

I got laid off in May because the budget at work was cut by over $2 mil, so I am hoping I will get another fabulous job that I love (because I really did love that one :( ) that pays as much or more.

I hope that my child grows up somewhat well adjusted... which will not happen if I stay married... those of you who know my story can understand this one... Hopefully as my munchkin grows I will be able to find the right balance of stern mom and yet still cool mom.

And there are lots more.... I am an ambitious girl... :D ;) B-)

I always wanted to be the next Stephen King, without all the drugs. But it's looking less and less likely. I'd settle for being the next Mr. Kohl, who was my 11th grade English teacher, and got me to actively love English for the first time, got me writing, etc.

I want to help people the way people helped me basically.

I wouldn't want to do only crazy stuff, like for every couple crazy books I'd do a regular movie and vice versa (sp?)

Because I'm hot, my wife is even hotter, and you know it.

Plus, I'll mention you in the dedication. ;)

To Tom, without whom I would never have had a constant reminder of the dreck I had to rise above...

awww, you know I love you. To change the subject completely, do you have any spare time these days? Like, enough to put together a laptop for the girl? <g>

...I meant a PORTABLE COMPUTER, dingbat.
