Because they're trying to build a team of all small forwards and Latrell was more of a shooting guard.

I wish the Sixers had given Van Horn another chance. Maybe he could've played better now that Larry "I don't care if you can shoot, you can't play defense so I'm going to badmouth you to the media and ruin your already fragile confidence" Brown is gone.

I can't see how this helps the Sixers. They're just treading water.

Robert Horry is going to the Spurs.

Wow, that was weird just to type.

what do the spurs want with horry?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. They probably wanna bring Horry in to give the Spurs some much needed personality.

Look out NBA. The Grizzlies signed James Posey. That's a 1 seed in the making.

The Celtics will sign Travis Best, according to ESPN.

On ESPNNEWS, they said the four-way isn't complete yet. They say Sacramento could join in on the trade and acquire Marc Jackson from the T-Wolves, but they didn't say for who.

Also, if the Clips match the offer for Magette, I predict the Jazz will have the worst record in the NBA next season.

Yep, just heard it on ESPN.

Ladies And Gentlemen!

The Timberwolves are getting out of the 1st Round!

They got Spree for nothing.

Fuck my team the Knicks. They gave away Spree for Keith "Choker" Van Horn. Probably one of the worst players in the league.

Already I know they will only win 30 games. They just blew it.

I once again have to say that Kieth Van Horn in the only guy in the league that can give you 20 and 10 a night and get shitted on for it. What the fuck do people want from the guy? 40 and 20? He was the Sixers 2nd leading scorer and their leading rebounder last year. And Brown BITCHED about it. WTF!!!

They would have only won 30 games anyway.

Robert Horry can sit on the bench the whole season and do nothing like Steve Smith did.

He can still contribute some. Have the Spurs resigned Jackson yet?

Because Van Horn dissappears when they really need him to step up. He average 5 points less in the playoffs than his regular season average. He's soft and don't play defense.

Well, with Harrington, Antonio McDyess, Sweetney, Lampe, Thomas, and Weatherspoon...I say they are going for the all power forwards approach.

Van horn gave them big games in the playoffs. If he would come out and slightly struggle Brown would go with Kenny Thomas, or Brian Skinner for the rest of the game. The Nets were just fools for trading him because of Kenyon Martins temper tantrum. He came up cluth all through their playoff runs.

It ain't how much you score, its when you score them and Kieth has been a proven scorer in the 4th quarter. Plus add the fact that Colman's, Thomas's, Snow's and Iverson shot attempts ALL went up in the playoffs, how can anyone blame him for scoring less when everyone was shooting more.

He put up 14 pts and (i don't know the rebounds) in the playoffs for the sixers. If they are going to be looking for glenn robinson to get boards, they are going to be in trouble. He will give them more consistant scoring, true, but Van Horn is constantly blamed for not putting up Hall of Fame numbers and it is just not right.

^Nope, he avg 10.4 for the playoffs and compare to his 15pts a game in the regular season, but he did have same rebounding numbers. I looked this up and it seemed everybody step their game up in the playoffs but him.

I like Van Horn. I think he could really excel on a team like Utah where he is the sole focus of the offense. I don't think he will be used properly in NY just like he wasn't used properly with the Nets. So what if he's a little soft on the defensive end, that's what defensive specialist are for. He's there to shoot and provide offense, so that's what he should be judged on.

Dirk Nowinski is 7'0 tall and couldn't stop me in the post...I don't see him catch hell for it.

According to ESPN Insider the 4 team trade seems to be falling apart this morning and it might just wind up being the Knicks and 76ers making a deal because evidently Scott Layden is in love with Van Horn and is desperate to get him.

Plus....

The Sacramento Bee is reporting the Kings have been talking with the Pacers about a sign-and-trade for center Brad Miller. "We have been having a few more interesting discussions in the past couple of days," GM Geoff Petrie said. "Where and if they might lead to anything, I can't tell you." According to the Bee, the deal would send Hedo Turkoglu and Scot Pollard back to Indiana.

No, not Hedo! That man is a superstar in the making. Brad Miller is just another big man to bang with Shaq and Malone. Scott Pollard can do that for you. Hell, Cherokee Parks can do that and he's still available. They need Hedo to step in for Christie and Jimmy Jackson (if they resign him) in the years to come.

As much as I like Steve Smith, he didn't play well at all last year. That's why he lost his starting gig to Stephen Jackson.

Speaking of Jackson, the Spurs will probably go after their own free agents now. That's been their plan this off season, with the exception of signing Duncan ASAP -- search the free agent market, then look towards your free agents.

While I agree that Hedo is a superstar in the making (He is 6'11 for christ sake...he can play basically every position on the court) Brad Miller is a very VERY underrated big man because he plays beside Jermain O'neil. Vlade only has so many years left and the Miller/Webber connection could be something to build on.

What I want to know is how Glenn Robinson is going to coexist with Allen Iverson. Robinson has no problem putting up 30 shots a game, and if he doesn't then it won't be long before he starts complaining. I predict that we won't be 20 games into the regular season before someone starts complaining in Philly. (and this is even if they don't resign Coleman who I would be shocked if he can go two seasons without whining in some fashion.)

He made it on a team where 3 guys put up 20+ shots a night (Bucks, Hawks) he wil make it on a team where only one guy shoot all the time. And AI has proven that if he has another scorer, he wouldn't shoot as much.

Here's a Kings fans perspective on the recent rumors.

Regarding the Warriors deal. That doesn't sound likely to happen. I haven't read anything in the local papers about it and nothing has been mentioned on the local sports talk radio around here. Plus, it's a bad deal for the Kings even just losing Bobby Jackson. B-Jacks is the only player in the deal worth a shit. Richardson has nice highlights and flashiness, but we need substance, not fluff. Fortson is fucking worthless.

In regards to Brad Miller. This is a wait and see. The Kings deal has Turkoglu, Pollard, and possibly Keon Clark on the table for Miller. Miller also has deals on the table from Denver and Utah in the 49-53 Million range. Larry Bird said that if that is what he is looking for, then Miller might not be an option for the Pacers. The Pacers may pull the sign and trade so they get something for Miller. If Miller goes to Utah or Denver, the Pacers get nothing in return.

While I am ok parting with Clark and Pollard, I am a little more skeptical of losing Turkoglu. The only bit on Turk is if he doesn't have his confidence about him, he sucks. He does have potential though. The Kings would do themselves a favor and resign Jim Jackson if Turk is dealt since Jackson was getting the minutes Turk should've been getting the last 3 months of the season. Plus the Kings need a decent Big man since Vlade is getting nothing but older and the Kings need size to stay competitive in the West.

I think Keon Clark is one of the most underrated centers in the NBA.

Keon has his highlight moments and he has made an impact in some games, but he disappeared in the stretch run of the reg season and the playoffs when we really needed him. For what he's being paid, he isn't worth it.
