Guest Austin3164life Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 I was there at the arena, and Cena got more face heat than both Billy Gunn and Torrie. It started out as a mixed reaction, but when he executed the rap, all of Rochester was mostly cheering on Cena. Me and some guy started a "Let's Go Cena" chant during the match, and people booed when Billy Gunn kicked out of near falls. Basically, Cena got WAY more a reaction than Gunn ever did.

Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 He may be vanilla as fuck in the ring but that is a great rap.
bobobrazil1984 Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Who won the match though?? That tells the true story.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Wait, Austin3164Life = Treble Charged now?
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Tim was plagiarizing him. Heh heh heh. Now I understand
Guest acnx Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Why did they edit part of the rap out? I hope the reaction Gunn got means he won't be getting the US Title...although that would require the WWE to listen to their fans.
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Logic, overness, and fan response should mean Gunn wouldn't get the title. So get ready for US Champion Billy Gunn. Is Benoit in this so-called tournament still? I don't even know how many they started with or how far we are into it.
Guest Choken One Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I'M THINKING they said that next week is the SEMI-Finals So that means... Matt Hardy Vs Benoit Eddy Vs Gunn as far as I can tell
Lil' Bitch Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Who did Eddy beat? I didn't even know he was in the tournament
Guest Choken One Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 mE EITHER but his name has been thrown around as being in the tournament
Guest Anglesault Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I'M THINKING they said that next week is the SEMI-Finals So that means... Matt Hardy Vs Benoit Eddy Vs Gunn as far as I can tell Who did Eddy beat?
Guest Choken One Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I'm clueless as well but I've heard his name thrown in there...who cares anyways...They already engraved BILLY GUNN on the damn ugly strap of shit...
Lil' Bitch Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 ^ It could changed at any time though. Anyway, I would be more happy with seeing Benoit job to Hardy rather seeing him job to Gunn if Chris wasn't to win.

Wouldn't it have to be Matt vs. Gunn in the finals if they go with Gunn?
Guest JaKyL25 Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 They started the tournament with exactly 6 SmackDowns left before Vengeance, meaning they had time to space out the matches to one Quarterfinal each week, followed by a Semifinal each week, followed by the finals at Vengeance. This was week #3 of the tournament, meaning that Billy Gunn was the third person to advance to the semifinals. QUARTERFINALS SO FAR Chris Benoit d. Rhyno Matt Hardy d. Rikishi Billy Gunn d. John Cena We do not yet know who will be in the last quarterfinal, or even if the order in which the matches have taken place means anything at all bracket-wise.
Guest MixxMaster Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I don't mind Cena, but the Wigger gimmick is wearing on me so much...it's beyond stale for me, and is nothing but cheap heat. He is good on the mic, and could be showing it off better in a more appropriate gimmick, instead just rhyming shit. All that said, he really needs to improve most in the ring.
Guest Choken One Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 It isn't a gimmick...It's pretty Much the actual John Cena out there. I like the character as it's not a joke gimmick like Road Dogg or K-Kwik or M.O.M were....It's something different from the generic Wonderboy gimmick (Orton), "BAD ASS HOSS" (Batistia" and it hasn't been ruined by an inconsistannt sell of the gimmick (soh)... He has that charisma and appeal and look that can take him there...The ring work could use a little refresher but he has been working with Angle so expect that to pick up...
