Chunk 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Im not a deathmatch fan, as you may know. However, its good to see Balls Mahoney working a big Indy date. I became a fan of his when he came over here for Uprising last year. But I hardly ever see him working the indys, anyone know why this is? Also, I saw Corporal Robinson for the first time the other day (im watching my way through "When Hero met Punk"). Anyway, he has the most disgusting forhead I have ever seen. I couldn't believe it at first, and kept telling myself it must be make up. If you look at him from the wrong angle, it looks like an eye socket on his forehead. Guest Joe_G Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Yeah, Corp's foreheard looks like beef jerky. I'm sure he starts bleeding if he just squints. I'm more interested in the IWA-MS tourney: 1. Mad Man Pondo (Eh, at least he'll take some bumps) 2. Corporal Robinson (Pretty much an automatic choice for the show) 3. "Sick" Nick Mondo (Had some fun matches at the 2001 show) 4. Dysfunction (Went too far in last year's show, but he can take a pounding. If he gets bumped in the first round I'll be happy.) 5. Axl Rotten (I just hope he does some commentary for the show) 6. J.C. Bailey (Never seen him wrestle, but from what I hear this should be his night to shine) 7. "Mr. Insanity" Toby Klein (Aptly named--good to see him back) 8. Ian Rotten (See Corporal Robinson) 9. Messiah (Good choice. He's the CZW champ so he'll probably go far, maybe to the finals) 10. Bad Boy Hido (Had a great match with Bull Pain in the 2001 show but broke his arm and couldn't continue. Glad he's back.) 11. Mitch Page (Don't care much for him) 12. Lowlife Louie Ramos (never seen) 13. Balls Mahoney (I haven't seen him for years, but should do ok) 14. "Spyder" Nate Webb (Yay!) 15. "Hardcore" Nick Gage (Eh, I guess there were worse CZW guys to choose) 16. Necro Butcher (Great garbabe worker. I'm glad he's back.) Looks like a much better lineup than last years (remember Hugh Rogue?). I am sad "Cowboy From Hell" Dave Donovan isn't on the show, not for his wrestling, but because CM Punk and Dave Prazak won't be abvle to demolish him on commentary. I'm also sad Too Tuff Tony isn't on the card. Definitely one of the best garbage workers around and I thought he should've won last years show.

Guest ConspiracyVictim Report post Posted July 5, 2003 1. Corporal Robinson 2. Ian Rotten 3. J.C. Bailey 4. Necro Butcher 5. Nick Gage 6. Zandig 7. ? 8. ? Im 100% sure Mondo will be in it as he has said he will be working TOD. Problem is that now he has apparently been pulled from the KOTDM Tournament due to him not wanting to work so many deathmatches in one week. I am sure this mean he will go to the finals of TOD also. I got this info from the IWA Message Board, and I think Ian announced it at today's show...Anyhow...ive said it before, but Mondo v. Bailey would be awesome! I would mark out for Butcher vs. Mondo also... 1. Mad Man Pondo 2. Corporal Robinson 3. "Sick" Nick Mondo 4. Dysfunction 5. Axl Rotten 6. J.C. Bailey 7. "Mr. Insanity" Toby Klein 8. Ian Rotten 9. Messiah 10. Bad Boy Hido 11. Mitch Page 12. Lowlife Louie Ramos 13. Balls Mahoney 14. "Spyder" Nate Webb 15. "Hardcore" Nick Gage 16. Necro Butcher First things first, Corp should and hopefully will win this tourney...hell, he should have won years ago, but still hasnt. I say its his year, and he is really better than ever. Apparently IWA is having problems getting Hido's plane ticket so they arent sure if he will come...so thats three huge guys who may be out (Mondo, Kanemura, and Hido) Still there are others who can come in like Cash Flo, Bull Pain, or even Tony. Tony, however, hasnt been all that great recently. Back in 99 - 01 he was awesome, but he got injured and since then hasnt been the same. He is still good though. Also, the addition of the Hero v. Punk match on night one is great, especially for a change of pace.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Mondo and Hido are both out of the KODM. Mondo pulled himself out since it looks like he'll be doing something life-threatening at TOD2 (just more fuel for my circus deathmatch finals fire), while the cost of Hido's ticket has skyrocketed to $1,700, too much for Ian to bring him in. Why his ticket wasn't bought before, I don't know. Probably be replaced by some combo of Cash Flo, Rollin' Hard, Bull Pain, 2 Tuff Tony, etc...., or a cheap outsider. List of people booked for KODM who have been removed for whatever reason: Kintaro Kanemura Bad Boy Hido "Sick" Nick Mondo Ox Harley Supreme
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 And for you non-blood marks, here is a reason to buy the KODM. Hero. Punk. Homicide. Night one.

PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 I think the 8th guy in the TOD has to be a CZW guy.. If it is another IWA:MS guy that would make it 5 IWA guys to 3 CZW guys Which would make it more of an IWA:MS tourament then a CZW one....
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Problem is, there are no more deathmatch wrestlers in CZW. Mondo, Gage and Zandig are basically it- unless they use a loophole to get Hatred in. Only other CZW option is if Wifebeater temporarily comes out of retirement, maybe to return the job to Mondo, but that's a remote possibility at best. Like I said, it COULD be somebody from neither company- Altar Boy Luke, Homeless Jimmy, one of the DM guys from Mondo's Minnesota fed, somebody from IWS (who they've done brief business with before), etc.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 I was thinking of going to TOD but $60 is just way too much for me Ah, c'mon Bob, you and me can hang out! 'Sides, I'm ponying up 75 bucks to come down to Delaware, and that's not counting what I'm gonna spend at the SMV tape table.

Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 You could add in Z-Barr then. He and the Rachies got slaughtered by 'Beater and Hatred at Sanctioned in Blood back in Sept. 2002, Barr especially. I still think that Hatred will sneak in, somehow.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 2 Tuff Tony is #15 in KODM, replacing someone, I've lost count at this point. Still one spot open (again), look for someone in house (Cash Flo, Rollin' Hard, Bull Pain, etc...) to fill it, IMO. I doubt it'll be an outsider.

I did not pick z-barr due to the fact that on his message board he wrote in a topic of who the last 2 people in tod2 are dont u fuckers dare say to put me in it...im not going threw that hell again! Guest JimCTU Report post Posted July 10, 2003 Regarding Mondo, below is the first part of the commentary that he posted this morning... I wanna talk about some fun stuff, but first I have some serious things to get out of the way. ...First off, some people are wondering why I'm not doing IWA's KOTDM tourney this year. Well, here's the story. ...A few months back, I talked to Ian about working his tourney. I balked at first, but we were able to come to an agreement that worked for both of us. Everything was cool with me, except for one thing. ...CZW hadn't booked their death match tournament yet. I knew that it was going to be close to IWA's, but I didn't know how close. So basically, I agreed to do Ian's tourney, but told him I wanted to wait to see when CZW's would be. Not until well over a month later was I given a confirmed date for TOD2 by Zandig. Quite a few people had been approaching me, asking me about IWA's KOTDM, but I told them I wasn't sure yet. ...A couple people mentioned to me that I was booked on IWA's website, and that's when I realized there was a bit of a problem. After considering all the options and possibilities, I made my decision. I thought about what CZW's TOD was like for me last year, and remembered that even a week after the show, I was still in kind of rough shape. My stitched wounds were healing, and the weedwhacker shot was still causing me a good deal of pain. ...You people know I'm the last person to sit and cry about injuries, but I'm only using common sense here. ..I had a huge night last year in TOD, and this year there are going to be some big expectations of me. If I am to put my full effort into TOD2, and attempt to give the CZW fans their money's worth, I can honestly say I don't feel up to doing the same a week later for the fans in IWA. Up to 3 death matches in a week is one thing, but up to 6 is completely another. ...I've come to the point where if it makes me a coward, so be it. ...I've put my body on the line enough that I feel I have the right to decide when and where I'll do it, and to what extent. I absolutely hate to cancel bookings, but I feel that it shouldn't have been put up on IWA's site that I was booked until it was confirmed. ...Ian's mad at me now, but what can I do. He's always been good to me and I've always worked hard for him. If my absense in his tournament means the end of our friendship, then I can't help that. What matters to me the most is that I make the fans happy, and my goal at the moment is to give the CZW fans my best performance in TOD2. Ian's got a huge card for his KOTDM tournament, and I gave him over a month to find a replacement for me. ...But that's all I have to say regarding this topic, so on to other things. Chunk 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2003 Fair play to him. Anyone who calls Mondo a coward for not taking both bookings is quite simply an Arse.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Meant to post this a while ago, but over at www.czwwrestling.de (not .com, .de), there is a swank czw/iwa-ms video, which I highly recommend all check out. If not for the violence, then for the clip of Nate Webb dancing with a box of lighttubes.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 LINEUP FOR TOD2~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!! First round matchups: "Sick" Nick Mondo vs. J.C. Bailey Necro Butcher vs. ???????? Zandig vs. Corporal Robinson Ian Rotten vs. Nick Gage Matches to take place: 2 out of 3 Lighttube Log Cabin Deathmatch, No Shirts Allowed Fans Bring The Weapons Deathmatch 200 Lighttubes Deathmatch And more non-tourny stuff. Me thoughts: Dammit, Mondo/Bailey first round means that my prediction of those two in the finals is way off. Ah well, I wanted to see Mondo/Bailey, so that match should hopefully rock. I think that ?????? is going to be Hatred, still. Corp over Zandig, Gage over Ian, thanks to those two interfering in each other's matches. And those match stipulations must be for the semis and finals, meaning CZW won't be running a circus deathmatch. Ah well. I'm planning on doing a review for TOD soon, and if I bribe Dames enough maybe he'll put it on the site. I'll do a preview of TOD2 either with the TOD review or separately, most likely with the review. Now if Ian could release his lineup, all would be good with the world. 9 days motherfuckers, Delaware or Bust.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 17, 2003 The CZWFans board is calling for the mystery man to be Lobo. I don't think that's going to be the case. It'll probably be Hatred. Going by that, here's my predictions. "Sick" Nick Mondo v. JC Bailey Winner: Mondo Necro Butcher v. Nate Hatred Winner: Necro Butcher Zandig v. Corporal Robinson Winner: Corporal Robinson Ian Rotten v. Nick Gage Winner: Nick Gage Semis: Nick Mondo v. Necro Butcher Winner: Nick Mondo Nick Gage v. Corporal Robinson Winner: Corporal Robinson Finals: Nick Mondo v. Corporal Robinson Winner: Nick Mondo

Guest DRAWMUH! Report post Posted July 21, 2003 If I was booking TOD2 and having it without "surprise entrants" (like messiah last year) I'd have... Nick Mondo over Ian Rotten (Zandig helps) JC Bailey over Zandig (with help from Ian Rotten) (immediately after Ian helps JC Bailey and Zandig loses, he challenges Ian to a match RIGHT NOW! Blah blah blah, big death match, bleed like pigs, other wrestlers come out ends in a draw due to HiV clearing house after everyone gets a little cut up) Butcher over Nick Gage (Hatred helps) (Gage is PISSED and actually catches Hatred and starts beating the shit out of him until HiV beat him and take him to the back) Corp over Nate Webb SEMIFINALS Mondo over. JC Bailey Corp over Necro FINALS Mondo over Corp
