LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 And "Garrison" has got to be the most horrific wrestling name I've heard in a while. Seriously, they had Steve Blackman, Steve Austin, Steve Williams, and Steve Bradley all under contract at one time, but we can't have 2 Lances?!? well, around that time is when they started making the change, because common fans could get confused easily (even though these men looked nothing alike, although it could've been for JR and the Benoit/Jericho confusion). At that time is when Steven Regal came back as William Regal. And remember "Sugar" Shane Helms leaving WCW the Cruiserweight Champion to show up as WCW Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms, as not to get confused with his boss, Shane McMahon? At least it shortly led to the Hurricane gimmick, which as much as I love Helms, he may not still be around if it wasn't for...
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 "Garrison Cade" has to do with some comic book person named "Garrison Kane." Damn Gewirtz/Gerwitz/Gewertz and his comic book fandom. I wish the head writer was obsessed with RPGs...then Kane would be repackaged as an easily mind-controlled knight that jumped on people's heads.
Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 From the Torch.. - Mark Jindrak made a bad impression on agents during his recent house show appearances. He failed to connect to the crowd and whatnot, so his spot in Evolution may be history. Geez, I wonder why? Maybe cause the crowd doesn't know who in the hell he is?
Guest JHawk Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Who was he wrestling on those shows? And if those matches were so bad, why the hell was he put onto Raw in the first place?
Guest Coffey Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I just don't like the idea of Evolution at all. Let alone with Mark Jindrak in the faction. Ric Flair isn't very active, or at least he shouldn't be. In fact, he should've already retired from the ring and became a full time manager ala Bobby Heenan. Randy Orton seems to have a look to him, but a look isn't all that it takes. Yeah, in WWE land it matters a lot, but you can't be injury prone & unover. I guess Evolution has helped Orton thus far...but only because he didn't do anything before hand. Triple H doesn't need the group. He could act like Flair without the stable. Mark Jindrak? Why? So they can tag Orton & Jindrak? Bah!
Guest Choken One Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Why do they even need a 4th member? Why can't they just stick with 3 Man Team which is something different and keeps it from being HHH's Horsemen. I like the Idea The Current God=HHH The Original God=Flair The Future Prodigy=Orton THE CONCEPT I LIKE...not the actual evolution... although the Enterance (all 8 different onces) owns... They just need to settle on the Logo
Adam Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Yeah, as is they have had a new logo every week. I liked the first one.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 I came up with a prototype of Evolution back when I was doing some fantasy booking. It was based off of Chrono Trigger though, in that I had a prehistoric caveman, an ice age guy, a knight, a mondern wrestle, and a robot. Shut up--I was younger than I am now.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 in that I had a prehistoric caveman, HHH an ice age guy Orton-no heat a knight, Flair. Bunch of different ways to do with this one.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Hey, a wrestling robot would be awesome. You missed your calling. Jim Herd woulda loved you.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 "Hey Jim, think about THIS one: not only can he never get pinned because of his hunchback, also, his lips have been fused together! He can't submit! Money in the freakin' bank, my brotha"
Guest Choken One Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Sometimes I wish Herd and Russo would start their own Company.
Just John Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 "I actually thought the Rumble match wasn't as good as the Taker match at Mania, which still wasn't as good as either the HBK match, the 10-Man tag on RAW, or the match he had with The Rock before SummerSlam AS." I hate to jump in to your argument, but I just don't see how you can attribute the success of a 10-man tag to just one guy. Keep in mind you had other outstanding workers in that match such as Benoit, Malenko, The Rock, and Mick Foley.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 I betcha Vince steals Abyss, just to fuck with NWATNA, and sticks him in as the fourth guy
Guest Choken One Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Again... Why even introduce a 4th Member? Just stick with the 3 Man Triad deal. The group concept works perfectly as it is... and is somewhat creative as opposed to the old "Well...We're 4 heels in limbo so we created a stable! WE GONNA KICK ASS" type of deal...
Guest the 1inch punch Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Oh I agree the thrre man is a good idea, but 3man stables never work, as you always feel that somethings missing, plus Batista was meant to be the muscle in the group
Lil' Bitch Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 then Kane would be repackaged as an easily mind-controlled knight that jumped on people's heads. lol, I loved that game. the 10-Man tag on RAW Who were on the teams? Anybody know where I can find a good version of the Evolution theme? I can't believe I'm typing this, but I miss Batista. O_O
