Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 10, 2003 That looks awful. It's even worse then a RAW cause you already know who's going to win the title matches. Especially The Clique Invitational
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I remember Smackdown had the Global Warning Tour, it was okay although I think a couple of matches were actually cut from the DVD. Don't remember RAW having one last year and if so, did it ever come out on VHS/DVD?

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Wow, um... that card is AWFUL. The least they could do is make the Clique Invitational match Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels so it actually has a shot at being good. Only match I'd be interested to see is Jericho vs. Morley and MAYBE RVD vs. Kane.
Guest Prime Time Andrew Doyle Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Thank God I was lazy and didn't get tickets to that show. For all intents an purposes, it looks as though last years "Global Warning" will shit all over this years show
Guest Nanks Report post Posted July 11, 2003 *clutches to the Card Subject to Change clause* Ohhhhhh for the love of God change the card. Change all of it. *sobs uncontrollably* I WILL SEE YOU IN HELL FOR THIS VINCE!!! Not only do we get NO SMACKDOWN WHATSOEVER on TV, we get fed this tripe as our 1 show of the year, how can you be happy with that Edge007??? On a side note, who do you post as at WNA?? Global Warning was a cool show last year, it was heaps of fun, but this looks so awful. No Rico, there was no RAW show down here last year, we only got 1 show, thankfully it was SD! The one thing I am dearly clinging to is the fact that last year's card was changed around heaps.
Guest Memphis Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Vince takes away Smackdown. Vince takes away Pay Per View. Now, Vince comes back and puts on this 'show' to reward his Australian fans for sticking with his company. What a guy, truly loves his fans. M

Well, duh, because it's a challenge! As opposed to randomly booked match! yeah, that's it.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted July 11, 2003 This looks like the same damn show they've been running since Judgment Day. It was shit then, it was shit a month ago, it's shit now, you'd think eventually the WWE would get a clue and try something different.
Guest edge007 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Not only do we get NO SMACKDOWN WHATSOEVER on TV, we get fed this tripe as our 1 show of the year, how can you be happy with that Edge007??? Okay, okay, so the card is crap, and we definitley WILL NOT get any MOTYs, but I reckon just seeing RVD, Kane, Shawn Michaels, and The Dudleys for the first time will be really, REALLY good. (seen Jericho, seen HHH, can't wait to see jericho again) Yeah, I'm willing to admit match-wise that it is gonna be crap. But the experience, not just hte quality of matches, for me, is the key thing. Global Warning will reign supreme, however. (Edge vs Jericho rocked!)
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I attended Global Warning last year and had a shitload of fun. Got great pics too. The DVD was really dissapointing, cutting three matches from the card. I wasn't so pissed off about the cutting of Hardcore Holly/Chavo vs. Billy/Chuck and D'Von/Batista vs. Orton/Henry, but I was annoyed to hell by the cutting of Kurt Angle vs. Test. The pre-match promos were good, and it was one of the best Test matches that I have ever seen. Oh, and the RA card looks craptacular, I'm sure my friend in Melbourne will tell me just how bad it is, he has a seat in the front row.
Guest JacK Report post Posted July 11, 2003 See . . . I can't get over this. First . . . they take away smackdown THEN we lose the Pay Per Views And sooner or later; Raw's going as well And NOW, they wanna make it up to us; by, wait for it . . . giving us not ONE but TWO shows (YES TWO! TWICE LAST YEAR! Oh It's true!) which will be mega expensive, while they go away, and don't return until they feel like indulging themselves in a return? Nah, no way in HELL I am going to see that. Screw them's'all I can say . . .
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 ^ I feel your pain. WWE hasve been shitting on Australia for over a year now. They get 55,000 people in Colonial last year, so what do they do? Put SD and PPV prices up so we don't get them anymore? Way to lose your audience Vinnie boy. I won't be going to Ruthless Aggression, IU am saving to go to wrestling school in January. I'd rather do my own than watch that crap.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 11, 2003 What the fuck does "One Fall to a Finish" mean?
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I suppose it means this match will end with a pin or submission. WWE haven't had time limits on their matches for 5 years.

Maybe it means, NO DUSTY FINISHES? If so, I suggest all RAW Tag matches get this stip.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Come on guys, look on the bright side? There could be a special apperance by Nathan Jones for the 'injured' Nash in the world title match, being in Australia and all. Dont forget, Jones DID say he'll be working house shows soon. Sorry to put that thought in your heads. Card subject to change..
Guest Nanks Report post Posted July 12, 2003 Hold your tongue Franchise. Just to bring the non-Aussies up to speed. To add to the ever growing pile of ways Vince has screwed us, in the same vein as Hogan being advertised and withdrawn at the last moment for last year's show, this year they went to the trouble of pasting an addition to their advertising with a sash across the poster reading "Breaking News: Stone Cold Steve Austin just confirmed" Only to announce that he would definitely not be appearing once the shows had sold out. There's always the faint hope they're planning to swerve us and have him show up, but more likely is that the glass will break and Bischoff will come out laughing to get heel heat. Vince truly hates Australia

The pre-match promos were good, and it was one of the best Test matches that I have ever seen. I had a feeling they cut some matches since the card number seemed unusually low even with the off-work fun segments added. Why did they do that? That's not normal for WWE. On other DVDs, it could be the shittiest match of all time, but it wouldn't be cut. At the most, the camera angles would be changed...

The pre-match promos were good, and it was one of the best Test matches that I have ever seen. Oh, and the RA card looks craptacular, I'm sure my friend in Melbourne will tell me just how bad it is, he has a seat in the front row. I guess that's my cue. I am his friend in Melbourne. That's right folks, I paid almost $400 to sit front row for this... My first post and I can sense the shunning coming now. So it goes without saying that I have quite the interest in the Melbourne card, so I must say, considering the guys coming, it isn't quite as bad as it could have been. Nash-HHH will suck, and I will personally pay more attention to just how many people get up and leave. Dudleys-La Resistance might be passable, I'll be content with a table bump, but if they expect the Frenchies to get heat here, I just don't see it happening. The general consensus down here is "Who gives a f**k?" as far as all this French hate goes. If they get heat, I will be even more disappointed in my countrymen than I was while talking to an uber-mark in line last year. Booker T-Christian - Beautiful. Sure, we've seen it 53 times, but I'm still quite happy with that being on the card. Venis-Jericho - If Morley brings his A-game, this could be much similar to Jericho-Edge from GW. I'm looking forward to it. RVD-Kane - Do we get another SummerSlam preview like we did for Brock-Rock? I don't really care, but once again I'm pretty happy with this booking. Steiner-Test - WHY WHY WHY? Stacy damn well better be standing on my side of the ring. Other than that, I'm just going to have to make up my own fun.... Goldust-Orton - Um, yeah, I guess. Whatever. Trish-Victoria - Best women's match we could have hoped for, despite seeing it even more times than Booker-Christian. Even if the match sucks, I still have Victoria to look at. Hurricane-Mack - Oh sweet jebus, not Hurricane! Mack wasn't announced, I had hoped and prayed he wasn't coming, and now he faces Hurricane? Screw that! Anyway, card subject to change, and the card barely remained in tact last year so this isn't that big of a deal. But still, if they did go with this, it isn't all bad. Think of it this way, guys like Steiner and Test get it over and done with in one match. If those two were to have other matches, they'd stick up the place twice as much. I'm comfortable with that deal. Son of a bitch, one of the Sydney shows has Jericho vs Booker! I'm hoping that some jackass, or possibly Garcia, announces Smackdown's return to Australian screens in August.... So, am I justifying spending an insane amount of money (plus Y2J Highlight Reel and RVD shirts, pressuming they bring them, since they did not bring MY Rey Rey shirt for GW, the bastards) or is my card actually passable? You be the judge.
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2003 Hey, looks like my main man has arrived, finally. And as long as I get an RVD pic or signature, I don't care if the main event is Mack vs. Nash in an Iron Man match. It still looks craptastic, apart from RVD-Kane and XTain-Booker. Guest SEX Report post Posted July 12, 2003 The 2nd sydney show looks a little better, atleast we get Jericho Vs booker T, I loved GW, and I guess I will love this too, It will only be the second wwe event I have seen live, so I dont have much to compare it to,

Adam 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2003 lol well I'm not watching, so as long as you get me a pic or signature then Im good. Hey, I talked to Ric Flair and had to commentate on a women's match. I didnt care. I was talkign to Ric Flair.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 12, 2003 Yes I guess you can die happy. I will be able to claim something similar if Victoria happens to walk past or brawl to the outside in her tight vynil.............. uh, anyway... I really don't see what is so bad about the Ruthless Aggression cards. They could have been a hell of a lot worse, and with the card bound to change, they probably will be. Actually, in three weeks it will be interesting to see just how many of these matches survived. And for the record, yes, Test really did have a good match. Sure Angle carried him through it, but it was 2002 and still possible. Having only seen one or two prior to it, it caught me off-guard too, so I would understand any sketicism. I still don't know why it was editted from the DVD. Test fell off the top rope when Angle went for his climbing top rope belly to belly, and Angle got huge heat for his supposedly face comment "You're right, Australia is a lot like America." But other than that, it was all normal and as I said and feel the need to reiterate, an actually good Test match without a gimmick involved like a street fight.
