Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Okay- SmackDown's main problem is basically that they have no top "wrestler" heel other than Big Show, who's barely credible himself. Thus, the show gets dominated by Vince/Steph/Sable/Gowen etc. Meanwhile, on Raw, you have Chris Jericho, who despite everything is one of, if not the biggest heat machine in the company (even the WWE kayfabe mark mags voted him "Most Hated" instead of HHH) doing jack shit other than his interview segment, with no meaningful feud. So wouldn't it make sense to move Jericho to SD where he can tear the house down with Benoit and Angle? We can get a Lesnar/Jericho world title feud, which would probably be Lesnar's first REALLY hot program as champion, and who knows, might even draw a decent buy for a SD-only PPV. No matter how often he loses, Jericho is always a credible world title threat, and if booked correctly (ie let Jericho promo his ass off and get a couple pins prior to the PPV) might actually be the first non-Angle match where Lesnar's title might look like it's in danger. Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 14, 2003 It's not really going to help sending Jericho over to SD as he'd go from being a step below HHH's status to a step below BS's status. As we know Vince will never promote Jericho to World title status ever.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Chris Jericho is a total package. I can't believe Vince is being a dumbfuck about letting him wear gold again. Anyway, I'd love to see a Lesnar/Jericho. I know Brock would win, but fuck I still want to see it as much I want to see Benoit / Lesnar happen. I also want Chris to become a floater. As far as I'm concerned, RAW (fuck you HHH) IS (STILL) JERICHO, but he could help out SD a lot too.

Guest Ray Report post Posted July 14, 2003 (edited) Yes, let's make Raw worse. Let's take the ONLY great thing about Raw away. While we're at it, let's trade Christian, Hurricane, Storm, Morley, and Booker for Big Show, Rikishi, Undertaker, Nathan Jones and Mark Henry. Guest FileCabinet Report post Posted July 14, 2003 He's a dead character. Exactly. I would like to see Jericho move to SmackDown because it may lead to good matches. However, after all the damage that's been done, those that lose to him won't look strong. If Lesnar felt threatened by Jericho, it would only make Brock look like a weak champion. Especially since Jericho lost to most, if not all, of the contenders for Triple H's title.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 You all say that Jericho is too weak for a program with Lesnar...because he's career has kind of been ruined. Lest I bring up the fact that, before HIS trade, Big Show was ALSO made to look like a joke, losing to JEFF F-N HARDY at one point. And yet, nowadays, he's a big threat to Lesnar's title. The same could be done with Jericho. It probably WON'T be done, but it COULD be done.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Hell, they thought they had RVD buried, but they built him to look strong on RAW 2 weeks ago. And people still love and respect RVD and they do with Y2J, so even when you're buried, you always got a limb sticking out of the dirt so to say.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Living in Australia at this very moment, I only get Raw. You take away Jericho from me and I will have to kill you all. Of course, if the rumours are true about SD returning next month, then I may change my tune.
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Jericho is a dead character. RRR said it best. While anyone can be made to look like a threat, not everyone can be made into a draw. Big Show was built into a threat, sure. But no one wants to see him in that spot because they ruined his character. By the time they pushed the shit out of him this last Survivor Series, it was too late. Same with Jericho. While us smarks dig him and he can get heat in buildings, he is dead as a draw. Would it kill to give him a run on top? No. Hell, at least the main event matches would be good then. But Jericho is dead in the eyes of the 98% of the majority-the marks. They no longer buy him in a top spot because they've spoiled his character. He'd work for us, but not as a money drawing champ. That window of oppurtunity passed about a year ago. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 14, 2003 How you know this for a fact? The "marks" are still booing the hell outta him...
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I'm with Devient. Don't take Jericho away from Australia, he and RVD are the main reasons I watch RAW.
Guest caboose Report post Posted July 14, 2003 No he shouldn't because it would be one less reason to watch RAW. I have plenty reasons to watch SmackDown already.

Although...She isn't fat as compared to REAL WOMEN... I'd still take her over Torrie... Vince still hogs up more time than any McMahon that doesn't have a cool nickname like O'Mac does. Steph isn't just prime A for jokes dude. She's well done for them. And yes, she's still more hitable then Torrie, that I agree with.

Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I don't think it is impossible to build Jericho up as a credible champion at all. Half an hour of Vince, and I'd still kill to get SD back in this country. Steph is hot when she wants to be. She's even hotter when she wants to be a "bitch". Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 she was hot in the outfit in the Gowen Match... Is this sarcasm or do you just like big women? Seriously I have always thought she was hot.. until that match. That might have been the most unflattering (is that a word?) outfit ever. She looked like 200lbs of ground beef stuffed into a 150lb bag.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I don't think he's a dead character if he takes the Hi-Lite Reel with him, but on top of all the McCrap Smackdown really doesn't need another regular non-wrestling segment.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Jericho isn't believable as a top contender or champion. Big Show at least has the physical threat that can get over - what could Jericho do? Hit someone with a chair? He already did that... with Goldberg... and Michaels... and HHH... and... etc....no one bought it. I'm tellin ya, Steph got ass implants. ...that's fuckin hilarious. Guest JMA Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Eh, I still think Steph is hot. But what's up with her voice nowadays? I didn't think she could sound more annoying--but she does. She sounds like a chain-smoker. I do agree about Jericho being traded to SD. I don't think he's a dead character at all. I'd trade him for Bradshaw. That way we have no more APA. Guest Nightscrawler Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I don't think that it's a bad idea. I don't think he's character is dead, and he can benefit more on SmackDown.
Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Personally, I think Jericho should stay on Raw. Sure he may be able to put on some decent matches on Smackdown, but I think people vastly overrate his ring work. He used to be amazing, but Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit have blown by him recently. Sure he's consistent and carried Goldberg to a decent match, but he's gotten a lot slower than he used to be and a little sloppier. I know he's the nets golden child and all, but it's the truth. I think it might be time for a jericho face turn however. People are starting to cheer him a little bit more each week and when he took on Goldberg, the crowd was solidly behind him. Booker T and RVD have been so tarnished that the upper card face division on Raw is bleak, I wouldn't mind seeing the Y2J of yesterday return.
