Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I don't know how credible this is, but I hope to God its true if only to ensure that it main events Smackdown and not Summerslam as has been rumoured: A local radio station in Kelowna, B.C. is advertising Brock Lesnar vs. Vince McMahon with Stephanie and Sable as referees for the main event for the August 5th SmackDown Taping. The advertisement also said a special surprise will take place. [Partial Source: 1Wrestling.com]

rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2003 You know what this means: At SummerSlam it'll be McMahon/Lesnar II in a gimmick match. I'm guessing TLC.

Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I know Vince has a huge ego and all, but why the hell is he kayfabe wise accepting a match with the man the WWE promotes as the baddest man on the planet. I mean during his feud with Austin, he was shit scared of Austin, was constantly surrounded by cronies and security and dodged a match with Austin for like 2 years, but now he doesnt back down from anybody. Vince realistically should be pissing in his pants at the prospect of getting in the ring with Lesnar or am I thinking about this too much?
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Vince realistically should be pissing in his pants at the prospect of getting in the ring with Lesnar or am I thinking about this too much? He has no need to be afraid. When in doubt, just remember, he's Vince McMahon, DAMMIT! The way he books himself these days, I wouldn't be surprised if they were having him feud with Brock for the title of being the baddest man on the planet. They could even get special guest enforcer Mike Tyson and dammit, Vince will kick his ass too!
Guest Sakura Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Does this mean Vince is going to beat Brock for the title on SD and then have Brock win it back at Summerslam?
Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I think they are trying to build another Austin, but instead of beer they're using kurts hugs.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I know I just can't get enough of the "Vince vs. rebel top face" storylines, no matter how many variations there are or how many times it's done. The best was last year when they were doing that same storyline on RAW and SD, at the same time. That's when the scenario got forever trite with me. Anyone else notice how yesterday Vince wasn't the least bit intimidated by Brock? What the hell happened with Lesnar for him to be perceived so poorly? Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 19, 2003 What the hell happened with Lesnar for him to be perceived so poorly? They turned him face and stopped having him DESTROY his opponents.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I guess you can also add 'gave him the title at Mania' in the middle, as Lesnar did destroy all opposition in the months leading up to Seattle. Case in point: Big Show, whom Lesnar was able to dispatch him with ease at the Rumble, but since May has had the world of trouble putting him away for good. Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted July 19, 2003 They surely aren't this retarded. When I actually heard Lesnar challenge Vince I just blew it off as silliness, not even really thinking it would even happen. I mean no one cares. It won't draw any money, and no one really even wants to see Brock kill Vince. What's Vince ever done to Brock aside from give him an insane push from the start that he never deserved? Guest jester Report post Posted July 19, 2003 In order to pump up Brock a little more, they should have him destroy Vince in less than five seconds. Just toss him around like he's made of paper, no sell the one punch he gets in, and just annihilate him. Even have Brock handedly despite cheating or run-ins. Then, VInce backs off. So Lesnar something Austin could not do--beat Vince and keep him down.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted July 19, 2003 The only good that can come of this is if Lesnar annihilates Vince and puts him off TV. Of course it shows what a sorry state the WWE is in when i can picture Vince actually winning the title again.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 19, 2003 The only good that can come of this is if Lesnar annihilates Vince and puts him off TV. That's what I'm hoping for. I would love to see Vince's character take one of his trademark breaks just as Australia gets SD back.
Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Although boss vs face storylines are inherently ghey, I couldn't help but notice that when Brock had Vince up for the F-5 a few weeks back it did get the biggest pop I've heard in months. Just have Brock annihalate Vince so that Vince can be written out of future storylines.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Just have Brock annihalate Vince so that Vince can be written out of future storylines. I wish there was a match coming up soon that would also get Steph off of TV FOREVER this time. No storyline loophole bullshit to get her back, nothing, just staying off my TV after a lot of humiliation.

No storyline loophole bullshit to get her back, nothing, just staying off my TV after a lot of humiliation. Yeah, I think everybody was happy when Steph got booted off TV after the handicapped match on RAW. Several months later, Flair gets removed from the RAW leader job and its given to Eric Bischoff, that act alone SHOCKED the entire American wrestling audience. And then everybody wanted to know who would get the SD position and it was...Stephanie. Talk about a let down. I know Eric makes a great heel, but I HATE how Steph (the arrogant bitch with the shrieking voice we had to deal with) gets over as a face. Its Stephanie McMahon for crying out loud! Anytime Vince got hit, Stunned, Rock Bottomed, Chokeslammed was great to see. I wouldn't mind him adding an F-5 and an Angle Slam to his list of moves used on him. Guest Chris Jericho for World Champion Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I am hoping and praying to my god, Chris Jericho, that Vince beats the holy hell out of Lesnar. And then, hits him with an F5 and pin him after beating him with his own finisher. That would be awesome.

Guest Stunt Granny Report post Posted July 19, 2003 It's funny, I watch KotR 98 last night and Vince was so much better back then. He'd be sarcastically thanking the crowd for being there and really didn't act to over the top. Now marching down to the ring like a retard, and screaming at the top of his lungs the whole time. I dunno, I miss the old Vince. The Vince we have now is just too creepy and powerful.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2003 So you're telling we get to see Lesnar Vs. McMahon for free, but people have to PAY to see McMahon Vs. Gowen? wtf...
Guest MideonMark Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Vince has become nothing more than a parody, his exaggerated mannerisms and THAT strut make him more funny than threatening. Hes like a cartoon supervillain come to life, next thing we know he'll be hatching his fiendish plan to take over the world with his army of cloned, giant, killer monkeys, but will be foiled at the last second by that pesky kid, Brock Lesnar, the happiest superhero of them all. Lesnar and his sidekick Kurt Angle will then celebrate their success by giving each other a wedgie and playing strip Twister and we'll all live happily ever after. And yes I have been drinking tonight...heavily.
