deancoles 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2005 Today was the worst performance I've seen since the 1-5 against Blackpool in 02, I felt so sorry for Steve Brooker up front, he gave 100 percent as always but was let down by the others. The saddest thing was that a lot of us knew we'd be in for a hiding at Luton if we didn't get in a Centre Back who can actually head a football.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Agreed. I'm not a big Chelsea fan, but damned if I'm not routing for them here. Hopefully they don't throw it away...
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 2-0!!!! 3 points off safety! 10 points out of 12, 5 clean sheets out of 6! Leciester drew 0-0 and are only 5 points above Gillingham....
deancoles 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Thank god Rovers didn't make the final, we've heard them for weeks talking about Cardiff and they fail when it matters. Edit: Milan,Chelsea and Lyon were all great tonight, Nesta had Rooney in his pocket for 180 minutes.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Edit: Milan,Chelsea, Forest and Lyon were all great tonight, Nesta had Rooney in his pocket for 180 minutes. Corrected to fight against the media's incessent pimping of the Champions League, which everyone knows is way easier to win these days. In fact it's been going down hill since the 1980/81 season. deancoles 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Just like the quality of Division 1/Championship has gone down since 99(which was also a good Premiership Season) when a certain club from Bristol got relegated. I'm glad Forest are starting to win, I'd guess you'd be Top 2 in our League while Coventry,Brighton or Plymouth would be Play Offs at best giving us in theory a better chance of being in the Championship in 2006. Anorak 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 2-0!!!! 3 points off safety! 10 points out of 12, 5 clean sheets out of 6! Leicester drew 0-0 and are only 5 points above Gillingham.... Gillingham have won one more game than us as well, we've drawn 15 games in total this season. Connolly and De Vries couldn't hit a barn door and even the departed 'tricky' Trevor managed one off his forearm for Cov last week. Crewe are looking a bit crap just above us as well, they're missing Ashton's goals and hopefully they'll drop like a stone below us as well because god knows where our next win is coming from. It'd be so much easier to just be a rugby fan in Leicester sometimes. The Chelsea game was amazing. The English lads were all stars for them again (except Johnson, who was the luckiest person on the pitch with Et'oo's miss) and Cech was brilliant in goal. Barcelona's hissy fits at the whistle were good fun as well, especially after their trash talking leading in.

The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 (edited) CSKA Sofia knocked us out in Round One, lost 1-0 home and away... Plus we lost to Valencia in the Super Cup and also to Nacional Montevideo in the World Club Championship thing. And we sold Francis and replaced him with Ian Wallace which didn't really work. And our big foreign signing Raimondo Ponte was, despite being, "a better diver than Jack Lester" (according to my dad), couldn't cope with the physical style of play in England when he actually did get fouled. One the plus side we did have Einar Aas playing for us, possibly the best named Forest player, other than Flip le Flem of course. EDIT: Just looking at some other league tables and when we won the league in '78, Leicester finished bottom, and when we finished 5th and won the second European Cup in 1980 Derby finshed 21st and went down. Great days EDIT 2: So that's Newcastle, Fulham, England and City he's walked out on... and he has the bloody cheek to have a go at player for not being loyal. Good ridance, crap cheque book manager anyway who won fuck all. Edited March 11, 2005 by Morrissey is God

deancoles 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 Got CM 5 earlier today, after playing it for a few hours I'd say I'm glad I got it for 3 quid(gave 2 ps2 games in) because even though it's fast(up to March already) it's more of a console game(think Premier Manager) than a PC one. Some of the research for the lower league teams is bad, we probably suffer worst. Players like Dinning,Bell,Doherty,Murray,Fortune,Wilkshire and Amankwaah are given wrong posistions, we aren't in debt and we're "looking at Relegation" Some of the values are also weird, You can get Mart Poom for 250k and Julio Arca for just over a million but if you somehow wanted to buy Michael Ricketts you'd need at least 2.2 million. Edit: Found a Derby screenshot, having seen them on SKY a few times I can't really see to much wrong with their research. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y45/prawn.../derbysquad.jpg
